PBBM distributes CLOAs to agrarian reform beneficiaries in Northern Mindanao

00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. distributes agricultural land titles to over 2,000 agrarian reform beneficiaries from northern Mindanao.

00:15Dato Joseph Sagubay's father started farming their six hectares land in Impasagong Bukidnon more than 50 years ago.
00:22And now, he and his six siblings have inherited the land.
00:26They planted coffee, corn, and other root crops on it.
00:29And after all these years, they have no land title to show they own it.
00:34Finally, he cannot help feeling so happy because today, he received a Certificate of Land Ownership Award or CLOA from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
00:44in a ceremony at Mindanao Civic Center Gymnasium in Tobod, Lanao del Norte.
00:50For this, he repeatedly expresses gratitude.
00:53And on behalf of his family of more than 50 members of his Higaonan tribe who also received their land titles.
01:02The government distributed 2,566 land titles covering 3,009.57 hectares of agricultural land to 2,857 agrarian reform beneficiaries or ARBs in northern Mindanao.
01:23The Department of Agrarian Reform Region 10 said that 2,025 agrarian reform beneficiaries or ARBs received 1,522 Certificates of Land Ownership Award or CLOAs.
01:35Meanwhile, 1,044 e-titles will be distributed to 832 ARBs under the split project.
01:43This move aims to divide the lands previously awarded under collective CLOAs and provide ARB-suite individual land titles to ensure clearer property rights and enhance productivity and investment potentials.
01:56For this, the local government unit expressed its gratitude.

02:49The report of agrarian reform also reminds the ARBs that they could not sell their lands after this because the titles may be recalled.
02:58The land can only be sold after 10 years.
