00:00Excuse me, young lady. Is the owner in?
00:03Oh, good Lord broke the mold with you two.
00:08Well, I'll just put in a French loaf and a couple muffins for you.
00:21Miranda was in earlier.
00:24Huh.
00:25Why don't you just quit your fussing and marry that girl?
00:29I did.
00:31Oh.
00:33And you, you ought to get yourself a steady.
00:37Because you're going to catch something that won't wash off.
00:42You don't want to grow old alone.
00:44No, ma'am.
00:46$3.35.
00:56When I lost Walter, my life went into a tailspin.
01:01I really do miss that man.
01:03You know, we did such good business here before McClintock's opened.
01:08Can't compete with that God-kissed peach.
01:12Hi. McClintock's.
01:14Well, McClintock's is really the lifeblood of this town.
01:18You know, in large part, that's because of these peaches.
01:22These are some of the best peaches in the world.
01:24They're really kind of God-kissed, you know.
01:27Listen, they pump the revenue right into this city.
01:30Just kind of, did you get that?
01:32You see, the thing is, every city, every major city has that one special attraction.
01:37You know, New York has the Statue of Liberty and San Antonio has the Alamo.
01:42We have peaches.
01:44Now, this peach.
01:47Did you get that? Are we in frame?
01:49This peach was eaten by President Ronald Reagan.
01:55He came to this city just for the peaches.
01:59Actually, well, I think actually he was lost.
02:02But the point is that he took one bite of that peach and, well, he had to leave.
02:09But I was fortunate because I grabbed that peach before he left.
02:13And it's a little rotted now, you can probably see.
02:17Those are his actual teeth marks.
02:21I'm pretty sure they were his real teeth.
02:24Excuse me, Sarah. Who do you see as a peach expert?
02:27Ben Stiller.
02:28What are you, a casting director?
02:30That's exactly who I saw.
02:32Really? Go on.
02:34Ben Stiller. Ben Stiller.
02:37Not you, you dummy. Her. Please.
02:40Fuck you. I'm a star. Ben Stiller.
02:43I'm warning you, you're right on the edge. You're going to get it.
02:46I'm sorry. Please, go ahead.
02:49As I was saying, by now, Jimmy and Byers had zeroed in on the Clint talks,
02:53but they were still afraid of getting caught.
02:55I feel really good about the plan.
02:58I really, you know, feel good about the whole thing.
03:00But I also feel like we're going to get caught.
03:02No. Do not do that. Do not do that.
03:05Look, I feel like...
03:06I'm serious. Don't think that way.
03:08Look, I'm just saying...
03:09Nuh-uh.
03:11No. You really don't get it, do you?
03:13Listen up, Skeeter, I'm going to tell you once.
03:16If you think it, it will happen.
03:18Well, now, this Jimmy, could he go psycho like De Niro did at the end of Taxi Driver?
03:22You know, I mean, that's something I could sell.
03:24Uh, no.
03:25But he could.
03:26But he didn't.
03:27But you're writing it, so he could.
03:28But it's a true story, so he didn't.
03:29Didn't? Ah-ah.
03:30Watch it. Watch it.
03:32Fuck you. Fuck me. Fuck you.
03:35Teach him one bad word and he goes nuts.
03:37Now, what about music?
03:38This Byers, he could be a musician, you know?
03:40Kids love music.
03:41I mean, soundtracks can put a movie into black even if it's a turkey, you know?
03:45Turkey!
03:46I got the music in me.
03:49I can feel it.
03:50I just gotta find it.
03:52We all do.
03:54No, we all don't.
03:56What you're feeling, you see, there's a euphoria that comes along with believing your own bullshit.
04:00That's what you're feeling, not the music in you.
04:03Well...
04:04We muck what we don't understand.
04:08You see, because the music, she's my lady.
04:11She's my muse.
04:15But she's got a whole lot of mean up under that skirt of hers.
04:20She taunts me.
04:22Sits at the end of the bar, and just before we lock out, she's gone.
04:26She's like a cold cup of coffee.
04:29Sweet, sweet music.
