Engineers work throughout the night to repair storm damage to Metro lines

Repair work has been carried out throughout the night to repair overhead lines which came down as a storm hit the North East.
Nexus, which runs the service, said its engineers have repaired 1,000 metres of damaged overhead wire between Fawdon and Kingston Park.
