During the early 1990's, Muscat and Barter "Southsection" were known as "Visual Environments". They use to draw, paint and hire themed backdrop's to most clubs in Bristol including venue's such as The Thekla, The Blue Mountain, The Croft, The Moon Club, Trinity and many more. The backdrop theme's varied from S.A.S. soldier's hiding in the jungle for drum and bass night's or rude boy's pulling stance's for hip hop night's to people styling flare's for funk night's. The backdrop's were painting's on huge drape's, (usually bedsheets), which they would hang around the club's in the afternoon before the party's in the evening. They charged around 100 pound's per club and would sometimes have backdrop's up at two or three club's in one night, plus V.I.P.
