00:00OK, Avi, I would like you to respond to the question I put to Ahmet about the possibility of U.S. recognizing a Palestinian state.
00:11Do you think that that is at all possible?
00:16So I'd like to just first respond to Ahmet's point about the so-called journalist.
00:20That journalist was embedded with Hamas on October the 7th, documenting Hamas's atrocities for propaganda purposes.
00:27He took a joyful selfie with Yahya Sinoir, the leader of Hamas, to claim that he is an innocent journalist.
00:35It's absolutely preposterous and does.
00:37What about the other 215 journalists that have been killed?
00:39Actual journalists who put their lives on the line in order to cover the world.
00:42What about the other 215 journalists that Israel has killed?
00:45He was a propagandist in the service of Hamas.
00:47And let's be very clear about that.
00:49Now, I'm sorry, Melinda, in answer to your question, no, I do not think that we are likely to see the recognition of a Palestinian state by President Trump.
00:57Those reports have been flatly denied by the Trump administration.
01:01That is the sort of thing that can and should only happen in the context of an agreement between Israel and Palestinian leadership.
01:07I'm very hopeful that that happens sooner rather than later.
01:10I would like Palestinians to have self-determination as Jews do.
01:13The only viable solution is a two-state solution agreed upon between both parties.
01:19At that point, I would welcome the recognition of a Palestinian state by this administration or any other.
