Transcript
00:00Hello, it's Graham Bean from the Scotsman at Hive Stadium where Edinburgh have just beaten
00:06Ulster by 47 points to 17 and that result means they have clinched their place in the playoffs
00:13for the United Rugby Championship for the first time in three years. The bonus point win combined
00:18with Cardiff's 34-24 defeat to the Stormers in South Africa means Edinburgh are guaranteed of
00:25top eight finish regardless of what happens tomorrow. They'll find out who their opponents
00:32are on Saturday, they'll be away from home in the quarter-finals and the chances are it'll be
00:38Leinster or the Bulls. But it's a great win tonight for Edinburgh, they scored seven tries,
00:44including a hat-trick for Darcy Graham and two from Magnus Bradbury. Pierre Schumann and Ewan
00:50Ashram got the other ones. It was a slightly nervy first half, Edinburgh raced into an early lead with
00:56two tries from Graham and Bradbury but then Graham got yellow carded for a deliberate knock-on
01:03which saw Ulster awarded a penalty try. Werner Cock then scored a second try for Ulster to tie
01:08things up at 12-all but Ewan Ashram's try just before half-time meant Edinburgh went in at the
01:15interval ahead. They came out all guns blazing in the second half and scored four tries.
01:23Magnus Bradbury getting his second, Pierre Schumann scoring and then a late double for Graham to
01:28complete his hat-trick. Bradbury was a player of the match, outstanding performance, he was a captain
01:33tonight in place of the injured Grant Gilchrist and Ben Velcott and he really stood up when it mattered.
