00:00Gentlemen, without objection, the gentleman is recognized for one minute.
00:04Mr. Speaker, so far, President Trump has signed over 151 executive orders,
00:10but Congress has only sent him five bills to sign into law, a historically low number,
00:16and that's on us. We are legislators, and we have a constitutional duty to legislate.
00:22Unless codified into law, President Trump's historic government reforms are in jeopardy.
00:27Congress must get to work locking in these victories for good.
00:31We can't afford for future administrations to erase them with a stroke of a pen.
00:36Republican members of Congress are quick to praise President Trump's executive orders,
00:40but we're very slow to codify them.
00:42It doesn't matter if we have to vote seven days a week.
00:45We need to be mass-producing bills that codify the same executive orders that have been keeping our constituents safe.
00:51Congress has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to achieve victories that Republicans have always talked about.
00:59We need to get this done.
01:01Mr. Speaker, I yield back my time.
