00:00And with that, we're surrounded by some of the greatest business people in the world.
00:06We just had a tremendous order of Boeing.
00:09This is Boeing, and this is General Electric.
00:11And General Electric, I hear, makes the best large airplane engine in the world by not even a contest.
00:19Maybe I'll have to change my engines one day on my plane.
00:23Because they're not General Electric.
00:24But, you know, it's one of those things.
00:26But I hear you make the best engines in the world, Larry.
00:30Larry's somehow his people at General Electric.
00:33First of all, it's one of the greatest turnarounds that you'll ever see in a company.
00:37Because when you took it over, it was, I want to be respectful, General Electric was in trouble.
00:43To put it, I would say, right?
00:45To put it mildly.
00:47And now it's a hot company doing great.
00:50And it's, I would imagine the hottest thing is what's happened with the engine division.
00:54Because this engine is incredible.
00:57Would you like to say a couple of words, Larry, about that?
00:59Because he watches, when he sees Boeing, he gets, he's very excited because he supplies, I guess, for the most part, the engines.
01:08Would you like to say something?
01:09Sure.
01:10Well, Mr. President, thank you.
01:11And it's an honor to be here.
01:12We're thrilled about the commitment that Qatar Airways has made to both Boeing and GE Aerospace with the largest wide-body order, really, in our company's history.
01:21We're 400 engines.
01:23Both our GE NX, which powers the 787, the fastest-selling high-thrust engine in history.
01:30And our new 9X will power the 777X, which will be the largest commercial engine in the world.
01:37Will that be the same engine other than size, or is it different?
01:40It's a step forward and a generation forward as well.
01:44So even beyond?
01:45Yes.
01:45The large one?
01:46Very much so.
01:47That's great.
01:47And we think that really helps both Boeing and GE Aerospace continue to support not only our investment in domestic manufacturing, but in turn, everything that we're doing to drive the $75 billion annual trade surplus that the aerospace industry enjoys in the U.S. today.
02:03So we're excited.
02:04I know Kelly and the Boeing team have been great partners.
02:07But, Botter, our thanks to you for your trust and your commitment to both GE Aerospace and Boeing.
02:12We're gratified.
02:14Thank you very much.
02:16Kelly, go ahead.
02:17Well, Mr. President, first of all, thank you for your support.
02:20It's a major order for us.
02:22All of these aircraft will be built in the United States, creating a significant number of jobs.
02:28And I know that's a key mission of yours.
02:31And this order will help us accomplish that.
02:34Partnership with GE has been great.
02:37They do power exclusively our engines.
02:40And they're doing a great job here.
02:43And we're very pleased to be selected by Qatar for this largest aircraft, white body aircraft order in the history of Boeing.
02:52Major, major accomplishment for us.
02:54Thanks to the administration for your support.
02:56That's the largest order you've ever had.
02:59Yeah.
02:59For white body aircraft.
02:59It's also one of the largest orders in history.
03:01But it almost has to be, if it's the largest order you've had, it has to be pretty close to the largest order ever made, right?
03:08Yeah, that's correct.
03:08And you also, Boeing also got the jet fighter.
03:11We selected Boeing for the jet fighter, the state-of-the-art, highest level.
03:17It's an amazing-looking plane.
03:20If it functions as well as it looks, I think we're going to have a big winner.
03:25But we're also looking at some additional jet fighters.
03:28We have some really good ones that we have.
03:30We're taking a look at, strong look from one of your competitors, I must say.
03:34And we're doing something very special.
03:37But it's a special country.
03:39You know, we were losing.
