Musk's Grok Sparks Outrage to Controversial Responses

00:12response to user queries on X. This incident has drawn attention not only

00:16due to the chatbots responses but also because of Musk's personal connection to

00:20South Africa where he was born and grew up before moving to Canada and eventually

00:24the United States. Some critics have even pointed to Musk's past statements and

00:27actions accusing him of harboring views that could be interpreted as sympathetic

00:31to far-right ideologies including white supremacy. Musk has not publicly addressed

00:36these accusations. XAI the company behind Grok has attributed the issue to an

00:40unauthorized modification to the chatbots internal prompt which directed it to

00:44provide specific responses on a political topic violating XAI's internal policies

00:49and core values. To address this XAI said it is implementing additional checks to

00:54prevent unauthorized modifications and establishing a 24-7

00:57monitoring team to respond to unusual or incorrect responses.
