00:00Barry Ferguson finally got his home win at the weekend.
00:03Could he follow up against a United side who have lost all three post-split games?
00:30Two turns and goal, one outfield change, Hansa Egeman for Ned and Bayrami.
00:34Tim Goodwin acknowledged his team were second best in the loss against them,
00:37but in four changes, Dave Richards makes his first Scottish Premiership starting goal.
00:41Clear Harding, Campbell and Fotherham all in.
00:48Connor Barrett, Raskat.
00:54Rangers building slowly.
00:55That's a decent ball across in the header from Egeman.
01:02He's starting on the left-hand side tonight.
01:06Makes himself useful here.
01:09Tavernier's cross.
01:11That was almost 1-0.
01:20Once more from his team.
01:23Barry Ferguson having got his first win.
01:25At home in the league.
01:27Against Aberdeen.
01:29Building slowly.
01:30Middleton with the opportunity.
01:31Jack Butlin with the save.
01:35Dundee United building patiently.
01:38And Glenn Middleton making himself a nuisance inside the area.
01:42Wanted it immediately.
01:43Had to be patient.
01:44Eventually did fall to him off Dalby.
01:46And got a good shot away.
01:51Barrett back inside to Raskin.
01:53Cerny.
01:56Cerny.
01:56Cerny.
01:57Always dangerous.
01:58Gets away from Campbell.
01:59Dessers with the touch and turn.
02:02Nicely done by Cyril Dessers.
02:04Four sec.
02:05Dave Richards into the save.
02:06Tavenier might get a second bite at that.
02:15Diamandie loses out to Campbell.
02:19Middleton.
02:20It's to take it with him.
02:21It's a decent ball across.
02:24Fotheringham.
02:25Still going.
02:26That might fall for Dalby.
02:27Well, he's opened the scoring in the last two matches against Rangers.
02:32But Jack Butlin had to be quick here.
02:36Fotheringham got the break of the ball.
02:39Found its way to Dalby.
02:40And that's a smart save.
02:43Strange corner.
02:44Clear.
02:45Harding.
02:47Dundee United do take the lead.
02:49And it's sheer joy for the 19-year-old.
02:51It's his first senior goal.
02:52Well, he grew up on the terraces at Tanadice.
02:56And now puts his side ahead at Ibrox.
02:59Terrific header.
03:00Got away from Tavenier.
03:02And Dundee United lead at Ibrox.
03:06That's not the scoreline he was looking for.
03:10Ballagat.
03:13Rangers looking to build again.
03:16Had a really good home record for the first 13 games this season.
03:19They'd struggle.
03:20That's across to Dessers.
03:23And five minutes after falling behind, Rangers turn to the top goal scorer of the season.
03:29Serial Dessers.
03:31Jephty with a delightful cross.
03:33And nobody picked up Dessers.
03:36And he found his way to make it 1-1.
03:38Lovely header.
03:39His 49th goal for Rangers.
03:42Well, Greta Steinsen and Andrew Kavanagh, the 49ers enterprise group, watching on.
03:47Lots of summer activity to come round Ibrox's way.
03:54Diamandis.
03:58Souter.
03:59It's a decent ball through.
04:00Diamandis on the left foot.
04:03Tries to test Dave Richards.
04:04Six goals this term.
04:08It's a good improvement on our last season.
04:10And he did try to break.
04:16Ballagat, though, picks up.
04:17Raskat.
04:19Options left and right.
04:21Cherny made a great run into the box.
04:24Igema.
04:25Diamandis to Tavenier.
04:28Rangers stretching.
04:29Dundee United here.
04:30Dessers back on the inside.
04:32Good play from Rangers.
04:34Diamandis.
04:35He's going to drive in himself.
04:37Diamandis.
04:39Well, he's very confident.
04:41Does like to go through if the opportunity arises.
04:44And it certainly arose there.
04:46Good patient build-up play by Rangers.
04:48Campbell unable to stop.
04:50Diamandis getting into the area.
04:56Life isn't easy as the Rangers manager.
04:57Ferry's long throw.
05:02The header was a little bit more timid that time.
05:04Mike Lear Harding.
05:07Rangers go quickly.
05:09Could catch Dundee United out.
05:12Richards says, I'll take that right on the edge.
05:14Dessers has done well.
05:16And Ferry will come back.
05:19Well, it wasn't the best defending from Dundee United.
05:22Dave Richards in the end.
05:24Doing just enough.
05:25Had to be very careful not to play that.
05:28And Dessers causing problems.
05:33Dalby battling away.
05:35But Barron's emerged for the ball.
05:38United, though.
05:40Break through Middleton.
05:41Ferry.
05:45Again, away from Doherty.
05:46Loose in the midfield.
05:47That's fired forward.
05:49Dessers with a chance.
05:53Doesn't take a deflection.
05:54As Dessers thought it might have done.
05:58They'll have to settle for the goal kick.
06:00Referee Calm Scott not interested.
06:01But Dundee United just been a little bit lax.
06:03Ferry wanted movement.
06:04Didn't get it.
06:05And again, Dessers finds himself available.
06:08Should have actually been a corner.
06:11Bernie Ferguson still wants more.
06:14Suter.
06:17Raskat.
06:20That's all the way through onto Dessers.
06:22They wanted offside.
06:23I think that was a great run from Cyril Dessers.
06:29Again, finds himself in good position.
06:32He was onside.
06:34Iggemann was off but came back.
06:37That would have counted.
06:42He's played through.
06:43Sanclay Harding.
06:45Well, Dessers has gone down.
06:46Referee says no.
06:48Dessers felt he was fouled.
06:49Didn't appear so.
06:51Suter played it through.
06:53Not much in that.
06:56Still one apiece.
06:58Cherny.
06:58Figgins Ferry.
06:59Plays her on the inside.
07:02Chevalier.
07:03And gets away with that.
07:04D'Amond has gone down.
07:05He thinks he's been clipped.
07:07And Vinko Saverje.
07:09Well, the referee said no.
07:10But I think there's going to be a VAR check here.
07:13He just catches him.
07:14His knee catches him in the back of the leg.
07:17And this is going to be reviewed.
07:20Well, Grant Irvine is on VAR.
07:23Carlham Scott has a little look.
07:24He just catches the leg before the ball gets there.
07:28And this is going to be a penalty kick.
07:33Well, they survived the claim a few moments ago.
07:35I think there were a few arguments there.
07:37Dessers on the penalties.
07:41This is for his 50th Rangers goal.
07:44And he rolls it into the back of the net.
07:46And Rangers have come from behind to lead.
07:50Cool as you like.
07:52Richards went one way.
07:53The ball sent the other.
07:55And Dundee United.
08:00And they do have European ambitions and dreams.
08:02I have to hope that some of the other results go their way tonight.
08:05And they can find an equaliser here.
08:07That's cool play from Rangers.
08:13Cherny.
08:15Dessers is running in so is Igamant.
08:17Raskan is available as well.
08:19There's the pass.
08:20On to Raskan.
08:21Lifting it beautifully.
08:233-1 Rangers.
08:25And Nico Raskan celebrates.
08:28Well, from outside the wrong penalty box.
08:30On the right-hand side.
08:31All the way to the other end.
08:34Cherny.
08:34The weight of the pass was perfect.
08:36The finish was better.
08:38Cracked high to the top of the net.
08:40It'll be back-to-back home wins, you suspect,
08:42for Barry Ferguson's Rangers.
08:45Nicely done by Raskan.
08:46But the set-up was perfect.
08:48Disappointing goal to lose.
08:52Boys react really well to get back into it.
08:54Half-time.
08:55We spoke about a few things we can do better.
08:58And then I thought, once we got that second goal,
09:01again, we finished the game really strongly
09:04and could have had a couple more.
09:07The last four results haven't been good enough.
09:09But I think, you know, I've said it numerous times,
09:13if you had offered us this opportunity on Saturday,
09:17way back at the beginning of the season,
09:20you know, a one-off game to go and potentially
09:23not just secure fifth, but, you know, clinch fourth
09:27would be a remarkable finish for us.
09:30After the drought, Rangers win back-to-back games
09:34at Ibrox.
09:34Mikey, it's been an awful season for the Rangers supporters.
09:38Not a lot to cheer about.
09:39But at least they've put this kind of home nightmare scenario
09:43behind them, it looks like.
09:44Yeah.
09:45No more home games left.
09:46Yeah, of course.
09:47And, you know, obviously there'll be a huge weight
09:49off of Barry Ferguson's shoulders as well
09:51to get a couple of victories to round things off at home.
09:56I mean, there's no dressing it up.
09:57It has been an extremely disappointing campaign
10:00when you look at the fact that they're 17 points
10:02behind Celtic and then 17 points between them
10:07and Hibs at the moment as well.
10:08So, you know, they're a fair bit off the top,
10:11obviously quite a bit ahead of Hibs as well.
10:14But it's not something that I'd imagine the Rangers supporters
10:17are going to be, you know, quite comfortable with
10:20and there's going to be a lot of change, clearly, at the club.
10:22It certainly is.
10:23Unity took the lead.
10:24Sam Harden with a brilliant header
10:25after a really big chance for Dalby.
10:29Jack Butlin back in goal.
10:30He had a great game.
10:31He had a few really good saves, Charlie.
10:33Yeah, yeah, he comes back in.
10:36Surprised a few, but Barry Ferguson said
10:39it was always kind of the plan he had
10:40to get him back in.
10:42He made a good game, good save here.
10:43But it's a great, great header for Big Sam.
10:48Well known at the start of the season,
10:49they brought him back to give him an opportunity
10:50to get him at Ibrox.
10:52And being a Dundee United fan,
10:54having watched him growing up,
10:56he'd be delighted with that to go and score at Ibrox.
10:57It's a great moment for a young man, it really is.
10:59And it was a brilliant header.
11:02It was a win in what looks like
11:03Barry Ferguson's last game at Ibrox as manager.
11:06How do you think he will reflect on his time
11:09as the manager of Rangers, short as it was?
11:14Well, I was listening to him before the game
11:16and he was talking about, obviously,
11:17that he feels that they've had an impact.
11:19It's just that there's been improvement, he felt.
11:23But it's just the lack of consistency.
11:25I think, clearly, he can point towards
11:27some big performances and big results
11:29in Europe in particular.
11:30But I think very similar to Philippe Clermont,
11:34that lack of consistency is what's been
11:35the Achilles heel.
11:37And I think you've got to look upon it
11:39as hugely disappointing right across the full season.
11:42Yeah, Adesos now on 28 goals for the season.
11:45A phenomenal return.
11:47The first, a brilliant header,
11:48the second from the spot.
11:51Yeah, I mean, look, this is,
11:52there's no two ways about it.
11:54It's a really good goal.
11:55So, I think, you know, defensively,
11:58they'll be disappointed that they're not tighter,
12:01you know, to shut down the cross initially,
12:03but also on Cyril Dessos himself.
12:06That's a good header.
12:07It's a good goal.
12:08And as much as we all look at Cyril Dessos and sort of...
12:14Do we focus too much on the chances he misses
12:15rather than the chances he scores?
12:19Possibly.
12:20I mean, look, I think this is, you know,
12:22one that you can open up the huge debate about data.
12:25And data will show you that Cyril Dessos is a top goal scorer.
12:29Penn here for you.
12:31You know, humming and hawing about it,
12:33but I think that there is, you know,
12:35watching it just back here again,
12:37I think there probably is enough in the back of
12:39Diamandis' leg there for it to be given.
12:41But, you know, I'm just going to make the point
12:42about Cyril Dessos that
12:44you look at just the data in terms of his goal scorer
12:47and, you know, it would suggest that he's a top number nine striker.
12:52But I think everybody gets a sense,
12:54having watched him over a number of seasons now,
12:56that something's not quite there.
12:58And that for Rangers,
12:59if they're going to go and challenge against Celtic,
13:01you feel like they've got to try and get an upgrade in that position.
13:04OK, just about midnight, so we best move on, Michael.
13:07St Mirren could jump to fifth and into the European places
13:10following United's defeat at Ibrox
13:12if they beat Hibs and Paisley.
13:14St Mirren are back at home
13:17with belief in reaching Europe again.
13:19Well, visitors Hibernian look to bounce back
13:22after defeat to Celtic
13:23with their sights set on ceiling third place.
13:26Steven Robinson names the same side
13:28that travelled to Tanadice
13:29for a big 2-0 win to keep those hopes alive.
13:32O'Hara is back in the squad after missing that one.
13:34Mandron started the scoring on Saturday
13:36and has two goals in his last two games.
13:39Hibs changed two with Lewis Miller
13:40starting alongside Junior Hoylet.
13:42O'Hara and Campbell move out to become substitutes.
13:45Boyle scored them back-to-back games
13:47with Hibs strike against Celtic.
13:48Here's Rocky Bushiri.
13:56The last time these two met here
14:00it was a goalless draw back in February.
14:03Both sets of supporters hoping a bit more
14:06than that this evening.
14:07Here's Hoylet threading through for Boyle
14:12onto the right foot.
14:14On it finds the net!
14:16Martin Boyle!
14:19Well, he spoke recently about waiting on a decision
14:22for a contract extension
14:23and the forward is having his say.
14:26Goals in three straight Premiership games
14:32for Martin Boyle
14:33and what a start from David Gray's side.
14:38Zach Hemming shielding his eyes from the sun.
14:42Boyle points to the travelling support.
14:45He's all alone in the penalty area
14:46and Hibs colours.
14:47And the ball sneaks in at the near post.
14:53There's a bit of a deflection
14:54from the studs of Richard Taylor.
14:57And that may just catch Hemming off guard.
15:02St Mirren now, Hib Bernier 1.
15:11St Mirren looking for a quick response
15:13to that early goal conceded.
15:15That's brilliantly taken down by Hoylet.
15:18It's through for Boyle.
15:19Oh, that's wonderful!
15:21And it's two!
15:22And it's Martin Boyle again!
15:24But the flag is raised.
15:27It won't count.
15:31Well, the skill was terrific from Hoylet.
15:34And Boyle looks to have just strayed
15:35offside there.
15:38And that won't get added to the highlight reel.
15:40Boyle.
15:43Steven Robinson asking for a bit more
15:45from his side.
15:50Rocky Vashiri
15:51smashes that one into the sky.
15:54And a sunny night in Paisley.
15:56And Hibs just swarmed to win the ball back.
16:03Boyle checking his shoulders.
16:07Two waiting.
16:09Kuharevic on the swing.
16:12And Hibs have a second.
16:13What a start.
16:19And it's now the same two scorers
16:20that scored early
16:21in their last win at Easter Road
16:23at the beginning of the month.
16:25Boyle and Kuharevic.
16:33Taylor asking for some movement.
16:36Hoylet charges it down.
16:38Hibs look to break with speed.
16:40It's Martin Boyle.
16:41Hemming stops.
16:43And St Mirren can get it clear
16:45through Phillips.
16:47Down goes Miller.
16:49And the visitors have a free kick.
16:52He's been electric again tonight already.
16:55Martin Boyle.
17:04Now St Mirren
17:05trying to get something
17:08to swing the momentum.
17:11This looks good from the buddies.
17:13Straight into the hands.
17:15Bob Smith.
17:19Alibiosu
17:20charging down the right side.
17:30Ryan Alibiosu
17:31looking to change
17:33St Mirren's fortunes here.
17:34The header
17:35is into the hands of Smith.
17:38But St Mirren
17:39are starting to build
17:40in this first half now.
17:44Steven Robinson
17:45will be hoping
17:45for a few more
17:46in the area to attack.
17:51Edging towards halftime.
17:54That's tenacious play.
17:57And Alibiosu
17:57dragged to the ground.
17:59The referee blows
18:00for the St Mirren free kick.
18:08Ayerdale,
18:09the Hibs player punished.
18:11Steven Robinson
18:11trying to get
18:12a view of this one.
18:17Over it goes.
18:19And it's there for Taylor.
18:21and Richard Taylor
18:23scores.
18:26The defender
18:27having the final
18:28first half say.
18:32And that will maybe
18:33ease some of the words
18:34from their manager
18:34at halftime.
18:35Well, Hibs will be
18:43disappointed
18:44that they couldn't
18:45go into the interval
18:46with a clean sheet
18:47intact.
18:49But look how Taylor
18:50just peels away here
18:51to the penalty spot
18:52and smashes it in
18:53with the left foot.
18:58There's been a quick
18:58VR check
18:59onside
19:00the decision.
19:07Screams
19:08from some
19:09for a foul on Bowie.
19:11St Mirren
19:11allowed to continue.
19:14Floated forward.
19:16Itovu
19:17rolling Miller
19:18across it goes.
19:20McMenemann scores!
19:23Connor McMenemann
19:24hits Hibs
19:25once again.
19:26What a comeback
19:33from the Buddies.
19:38I'm sure
19:38Steven Robinson
19:39is happy inside.
19:41McMenemann scored
19:42a double
19:43when the Saints
19:43win it
19:44Easter Road
19:44back in November.
19:46And how about this?
19:48Just the
19:49cutest of touches
19:50with the toes.
19:52And it's enough
19:53to put the ball
19:54into the back
19:55of the net.
19:56St Mirren
19:58two.
19:59Hibs two.
20:00Which way
20:01will this one
20:01go now?
20:05Another
20:05VAR check
20:06as the two
20:08managers
20:08continue their
20:09discussion.
20:11Goal awarded
20:122-2.
20:17Do St Mirren
20:18have the
20:19momentum now?
20:19Philips
20:30winning the ball
20:31back for
20:32St Mirren.
20:34And McMenemann
20:34looking to go
20:36through.
20:37And there's
20:37Mandron!
20:37St Mirren
20:38have turned it
20:41around!
20:43From 2-0
20:44down.
20:44Mandron is
20:46looking back
20:47at the referee
20:48Chris Graham
20:48who's pointing
20:49to the
20:51headset.
20:53Alex
20:53Gogich wants
20:54to know
20:54what's happening
20:55and Steven
20:56Robinson is
20:56absolutely
20:57furious.
20:59Technical area
21:00thought Lewis
21:01Miller was
21:01filled here.
21:02He punches
21:03the pitch in
21:03frustration.
21:05Play rolled
21:05on.
21:06McMenemann
21:07went down
21:08and the
21:08Mandron
21:09stroked
21:10the ball
21:10all the
21:11way through.
21:14And a
21:15yellow card
21:16for the
21:16protest of
21:17the
21:17St Mirren
21:17manager.
21:21Then it
21:22goes.
21:23It drops.
21:25And Smith
21:25makes the
21:26save.
21:28Kilty
21:29getting the
21:30shot on
21:31target.
21:33Gogich
21:33heading down
21:34on a
21:35tough angle
21:36for the
21:36St Mirren
21:36player.
21:40Hemming
21:41in a
21:41hurry.
21:44That's
21:45well won.
21:46Here's
21:46McMenemann.
21:49Goes
21:50for goal.
21:51Oh,
21:51it's off
21:51the woodwork.
21:53Rocky
21:53Bashiri
21:53with the
21:55last-ditch
21:56challenge.
21:57Looked
21:57to have
21:57got a
21:58deflection
21:59on it.
21:59Here's
22:00Alibiosu.
22:02And headed
22:03away
22:03by
22:04Ohora.
22:05St Mirren
22:07allowed to
22:07continue here.
22:09It's
22:09Richard Taylor
22:09going for
22:10a second.
22:12And that's
22:12high and
22:13wide.
22:18Oh,
22:18St Mirren
22:19supporters
22:19delighted to have
22:20McMenemann
22:21back in
22:22contention.
22:24And he's
22:24been so
22:25threatening
22:26an attack
22:26tonight for
22:27the Buddies.
22:28So
22:28unfortunate
22:29there.
22:30He thought
22:31that was
22:31creeping in.
22:32That's it,
22:36full-time.
22:37The two
22:37managers shake
22:38cans after
22:39a thriller.
22:40The point
22:40enough for
22:41Hibs to
22:42confirm third
22:43place.
22:44St Mirren
22:44will take
22:45their European
22:45push to the
22:46final day.
22:49St Mirren
22:49two.
22:50Hib
22:50it's always
22:54the objective
22:54at the
22:54start of the
22:55season.
22:57What's the
22:58expectations of
22:59playing for
22:59Hibs and the
23:00demands of
23:00such a big
23:01club is always
23:02to try and
23:02finish in
23:02Europe.
23:03Top six is an
23:04absolute minimum,
23:04but can you
23:05finish in
23:05Europe and can
23:05you have a
23:06good run and
23:07try and win a
23:07cup?
23:07Unfortunately,
23:08we didn't get
23:08quite the luck
23:10of the draw in
23:10the cups,
23:11so the run
23:12wasn't as good
23:12as you would
23:12maybe hope
23:13on that front.
23:13In terms of
23:14the league
23:15campaign,
23:16Nottingham
23:17finish third
23:17is with the
23:19big two and
23:19how powerful
23:20they are and
23:20everything that
23:21goes with that.
23:21It's almost like
23:22winning the
23:22league for us,
23:22so you're at
23:23that point where
23:24it's an
23:26unbelievable
23:27achievement for
23:27the players for
23:28where we've
23:28been.
23:28The reaction
23:29from the
23:29players after
23:30the first 15
23:30minutes was
23:31tremendous.
23:32Got ourselves
23:33right back into
23:33the game,
23:34created lots and
23:35lots of chances
23:35and half chances
23:36and obviously we
23:37have the third
23:38goal disallowed.
23:40The fourth
23:41official made the
23:41decision that there
23:42was a foul in
23:43the build up
23:44but we asked
23:45the question was
23:46it a different
23:46phase of play,
23:47didn't give the
23:47foul initially
23:48straight away.
23:50They have good
23:51control of the
23:52ball,
23:52so now it's a
23:53different phase
23:54of play or
23:54is it?
23:55That's the
23:55question I asked
23:56but nobody
23:57could answer
23:57that and they
23:59then give the
23:59ball away,
24:00we go up the
24:00other end and
24:00score.
24:01It happened
24:01quickly but by
24:03the letter of
24:03the law is it
24:04a different phase
24:04of play?
24:05If it is,
24:06then VAR have
24:07to overturn a
24:08decision that the
24:08fourth official
24:09made.
24:10I've never seen
24:11a fourth official
24:11make a decision
24:12to be first so
24:12that was strange
24:13to start with.
24:15But yeah,
24:16we are still
24:16very much in
24:17with a chance
24:18of Europe
24:18with one game
24:19to go which
24:19is amazing
24:20for the players.
24:23Congratulations
24:23to Hibs who
24:24are the third
24:25best team in
24:26Scottish football
24:27this season.
24:27It was a
24:28brilliant game
24:28in Paisley,
24:29plenty of
24:30drama.
24:30Let's start
24:31with the way
24:31that Hibs
24:31started the
24:32game.
24:32They can fly
24:33out the
24:33traps,
24:33Charlie.
24:33Brilliant
24:35season for
24:35them.
24:36David Gray
24:36has done a
24:36great job
24:37since the
24:37start of
24:39Hid.
24:39He's turned
24:40it around
24:40really well
24:41and they've
24:41been unstoppable.
24:42They've been
24:42winning games.
24:43I think it was
24:43a 17-game
24:44winning streak
24:44they went on.
24:46Great ball
24:46here,
24:46great finish
24:47for Martin
24:47Boyle.
24:48Takes a wee
24:48deflection but
24:49I think that
24:49he's going
24:49for near post
24:50anyway.
24:51Underneath
24:51the keeper
24:51and great
24:52start for
24:53Hibs.
24:53He's been
24:53in some
24:54form,
24:54Martin
24:55Boyle.
24:55That was
24:56his fifth
24:56goal in
24:56his last
24:56seven games.
24:58Mikey,
24:58about 19
24:59all-in.
24:59Great season
25:00for him.
25:01Absolutely.
25:02When you
25:03think about
25:04the turnaround
25:05and the
25:05season that
25:05Hibs have
25:06had,
25:06it's down
25:07to the
25:07likes of
25:08Martin
25:08Boyle.
25:09Stepping
25:10up and
25:10coming up
25:10with big
25:11performances.
25:12You think
25:13of the
25:13big players
25:14on the
25:15Hibs side
25:15and they
25:16have performed
25:17well since
25:19the bad
25:20start that
25:21they had
25:21that Charlie
25:22was touching
25:23on.
25:24Kukarovic
25:24here with a
25:25good finish
25:26as well.
25:26You look at
25:27that team
25:27and it's
25:27Boyle,
25:28Triantis,
25:29Cadden
25:29before he
25:30got injured
25:30and then
25:31Rocky
25:32Boucheri
25:32at centre
25:33half as
25:33well.
25:33These are
25:34the guys
25:34down the
25:35spine of
25:36the team
25:36really.
25:37Guys that
25:37were all
25:37taking a
25:38lot of
25:38stick at
25:38the start
25:39of the
25:39season.
25:40Credit
25:40them as
25:41much as
25:41David
25:42Gray.
25:42Phenomenal
25:43achievement.
25:43For them
25:44to be able
25:44to turn
25:45it around
25:45as well.
25:46As players
25:46they were
25:46taking a
25:47beating.
25:48Yes.
25:49I think
25:50you look
25:51around the
25:52squad and
25:52the players
25:53on the
25:53periphery.
25:54These were
25:55guys that
25:55needed to
25:56step up.
25:57The guys
25:58that are
25:58leaders in
25:59the spine
25:59and they've
26:00done that
26:00so credit
26:01to them.
26:01They'll be
26:01disappointed
26:02how this
26:03game's
26:04finished up
26:05for them
26:05because they've
26:05obviously not
26:06been able to
26:06beat St
26:06Mirren so
26:07far this
26:07season.
26:08No,
26:08they have
26:08not.
26:09St Mirren's
26:09equaliser
26:10looked tough
26:10but who
26:11might argue?
26:12Well,
26:13you certainly
26:13weren't arguing
26:14both of
26:16them look
26:17very tight
26:17but you've
26:18just got to
26:18go with
26:18the lines
26:20that have
26:20been drawn
26:21by VAR
26:22but certainly
26:23we were
26:25rolling the
26:26frames back
26:26and forward
26:27trying to
26:27determine
26:28whether it
26:29was or it
26:30wasn't
26:30but I think
26:31that's a
26:32bigger debate
26:32in terms of
26:33where the
26:34pictures
26:34actually get
26:35frozen when
26:36they're drawing
26:37the lines on
26:37but it's a
26:38good finish
26:38for McMenamin
26:40and certainly
26:41at this stage
26:42I think
26:42St Mirren are
26:43the team
26:43that are
26:44right in
26:44the ascendancy
26:45and obviously
26:46I'm sure
26:47we'll look at
26:48the third goal
26:49that was disallowed
26:50coming up as well
26:51it looked as if
26:51they were going
26:52to be able to
26:52get the three
26:52points and
26:53turn it around
26:54I mean that's
26:55not an
26:55insignificant
26:55difference there
26:57you know
26:57there's a fair
26:58gap between
26:59those lines
27:00and it certainly
27:00didn't look like
27:01that to the
27:02naked eye
27:02Well,
27:03you can't argue
27:04with the lines
27:04St Mirren thought
27:05they had won it
27:06Stephen Robinson
27:06obviously quite upset
27:07I felt the fourth
27:08official gave
27:09the decision
27:10and wondering
27:11which phase of
27:12play it was in
27:13but ultimately
27:13it is a foul
27:14It's 100% a foul
27:16you can see here
27:17the pull of the jersey
27:17clear as day
27:19whether he's going
27:21to get the ball
27:22or whether it's
27:22another phase of
27:23play
27:23it's hard to say
27:26I don't know much
27:27about the phases of
27:27play and what the
27:28rules are there
27:28but there's definitely
27:29a foul in the build-up
27:30how the ref does
27:31to see the foul
27:31in the first place
27:32I think Steve
27:33Robinson's biggest
27:34disappointment
27:35is the fact
27:36the fourth officials
27:36obviously had to
27:37shoot one to the
27:37left which is
27:38something you do
27:39what I see
27:40as a mile
27:40Mikey St Mirren
27:41can jump above
27:41United into
27:42fifth if
27:43United lose
27:43on Saturday
27:44and St Mirren
27:44win at Celtic
27:45can you see it
27:46happening?
27:48One thing's for certain
27:49obviously St Mirren
27:50are in a wonderful
27:51run of form
27:52at the moment
27:53and as much as
27:56going to Celtic Park
27:57is going to be
27:57extremely difficult
27:58for them
27:58I wouldn't put it
27:59past them
27:59I certainly wouldn't
28:00but I find that
28:01a little bit strange
28:02in terms of
28:02the goal scored
28:04I'm not sure
28:05how the fourth
28:06official is getting
28:06VAR would have
28:07been looking at
28:07this anyway
28:07and it is the
28:09attacking phase of
28:10play
28:10there's no doubt
28:11about that
28:11okie dokie
28:12so with one game
28:13to go
28:13this is how
28:14the table looks
28:15Celtic now
28:1691 points
28:17Rangers 74
28:19Hibs confirmed
28:20third
28:21Aberdeen are
28:22three ahead of
28:22United
28:22who they play
28:23on Saturday
28:24at the bottom
28:24Dundee and Ross
28:25County go to
28:26the final day
28:27to see who will
28:28be in the
28:28playoff place
28:29and St Johnstone's
28:30defeat mean they
28:31are relegated
28:33still lots to
