00:00I'm really impressed Kai. You've made a lot of progress in a short amount of
00:06time. Thank you. I have a really good reason to push myself. There's my
00:11favorite patient. Stella, hi. You are just the person I want to see. I need a huge
00:16favor. Tell me everything. Why have you been so busy lately? I got a job as
00:25Professor Dalton's summer research assistant. What? Joss, that's amazing. Oh my gosh.
00:33Wait, isn't that the job that Emma wanted? Hi. Is it all right that I'm here? That depends on
00:46whether or not you can accept Drew and me. Mayor Collins has got some merit, huh? Walking
00:53around Port Charles like everything is fine. Meanwhile, she's running the city
00:56into the ground. In bed with criminals and family. Disgrace. I'd rather focus on what
01:03we can do to improve the community. Measure C, for instance. Any updates? Before we get
01:08down to business, I got a question for you. What did you do with Jacinda? I am just so
01:16relieved that Rocco's okay and home. He scared the hell out of me. He scared all of us, sweetheart,
01:25but try not to be too hard on him because I really believe it was those older boys who
01:30talked him into that drinking game. They're the ones who should be disciplined. So, uh, what
01:36about our other patient, Elizabeth? How's she doing? Uh, great. You know, she's getting better
01:41every day. Oh, come on, big brother. We're glad she's doing well, but we want to know the
01:48good stuff. Are you two officially back together or what?
01:55I'm coming.
02:00Oh. Hey.
02:03You're not here alone, are you?
02:05I thought that Lucky was supposed to be taking care of you. Might as well have a coffee or
02:14wait for Rocco.
02:16Lulu's place is great. It looks like she's really settling in. Landscaping those boxwoods
02:22must have cost a fortune. Actually, no. I, uh, I got Danny and Rocco to do it. As punishment
02:27for sneaking out to that PCU party and getting smashed. Oh. Yeah. Well, that seems fair. You're
02:33really good with them. Kids need discipline, right? I'm sure my mom wishes I would have
02:40had more of it. I don't know. I think you turned out pretty great. Well, at least you
02:45think so. Because my mom sure as hell wouldn't agree. You can't just barge in. I have to
02:52announce you. Suzanne. Attorney Davis was expecting me. Suzanne. It's okay. Still. It's okay.
02:57I'm expecting him. Can I offer you some coffee or tea? Oh, uh, tea would be most welcome.
03:03Do you have Snow Sprout? I have Black. Yum. I was, uh, delighted to hear from you two.
03:14What do I owe the honor? I have a job for you. I'm so glad Sonny's back from L.A. Thank
03:20you for staying with him and keeping him safe. Yeah, I appreciate you looking out for Danny
03:24while I was gone. Oh, gosh. Did, uh, he tell you what happened? Oh, yeah. I know about the
03:28beach party and Rocco drinking too much, but I also know that he said that you helped him
03:35a lot that night. He's a lot like you, you know. He's wild at times, but he's a good kid.
03:42Oh, I'll be right back. Okay. Diane, hey. Hey. We have to talk. What's going on? We have
03:58a disaster on our hands. A disaster of your making. Things between me and Elizabeth are
04:06pretty great. I love staying at her place and, uh, you know, taking care of her. Taking
04:12care of her. That's what we'll call it. I am very glad that she has you there to help
04:21her. You know, something, since the two of you moved out, my house is so quiet that Ace
04:27and Kevin and I don't know what to do with ourselves. Well, I'm glad to know we're missed,
04:30right? Yes. But I'm sure Aiden is loving having both his parents under the same roof.
04:36I know Rocco would. All three of us are enjoying it. It just feels, it feels right. I'm so glad
04:43that it worked out for the two of you and, and you've got that great job at Charlie's and
04:47you moving into your home with your kids and your journalism career is taking off again.
04:53Oh, by the way, uh, how is that article going about the adoption? I, uh, I put it on hold.
05:00Rocco's alcohol poisoning gave me a lot to think about. I've known Jacinda for many years. I've
05:07just never known her to leave town like this before. If you're hinting at something, don't
05:13just say it. I assume you wrote her a big fat check so she'd disappear. Nothing happened. Did
05:20you see my press conference? Press conference, that's nothing but well-rehearsed monologues filled
05:25with talking points. Maybe yours are, but I meant every word that I said. I think Jacinda
05:30was hired to drug me and I'm still trying to confirm the someone or someones that were behind
05:36it. No, you said that you were well acquainted with Jacinda. So have you seen her hang out with
05:43anybody new recently? Someone, you know, walked up to me and Jacinda the other day, no hanging out, but, um, who?
05:54Willow's mother. Nina.
05:58Before you say anything, I want to be clear about something. I am standing by Drew completely. That's why I was by his side at his press conference. I want to show the world we're united. So it's just easier to avoid you or anyone else who thinks Drew is guilty. It's not personal. I just, I'm trying to protect our family.
06:16I know, I know, I know it was risky for me to talk to you about Drew. Some conversations are really hard to have, especially when you have a relationship that's new and still fragile like ours. But seeing you at Drew's press conference standing by the man you love was really inspiring for me.
06:38You're inspiring for me. So I trust your judgment on this. If you believe Drew, then so do I. Thank you, Mom. Your support means everything to me. What's going on? Okay. Well, as you know, Michael filed for divorce and full custody the night that he was burned. Now, with him out of the country for treatment,
07:09a date for the divorce proceedings was never entered into the court's calendar. At Carly's request, I have petitioned the court to set a date.
07:16Oh, okay. Well, I knew Carly had asked, but you didn't talk to Michael before doing this?
07:20I have not. I haven't communicated with Michael about any of this.
07:23We agreed to not say a word to Michael because we didn't know how long it would take to get a court date, and I want Michael to focus on his recovery. I want him to heal and get stronger so he's ready to fight when the divorce proceedings begin.
07:34Do you think he will be healed and stronger in two weeks? Because the court has said the date for the divorce proceedings for June 2nd.
07:44I'm intrigued. What kind of a job are you contemplating?
07:52First, I need your assurance that this is going to stay between you and me, all right? Confidentiality is crucial.
07:58Oh, always is. And I assure you, discretion is always my default. You can assure your client that my lips will not utter a word about this.
08:05Actually, I'm the client.
08:12I'm honored that you would choose me for what I can only assume is the most difficult task.
08:19You know, none of the day goes by that I don't think of fair Samantha, so you never need to hesitate to call on me for any endeavor.
08:30No thanks necessary. Samantha loved you, and I would do anything for anyone Samantha loved.
08:37Well, I'm glad to hear you say that, because what I'm asking you to do could save Christina's life.
08:44Well, you and your mom, you're kind of always butting heads. Why would it be any different this time?
08:49This time, she is trying to have me committed without my consent.
08:52What? Committed? Like a mental hospital?
08:59Yes.
09:01Wow. I mean, that doesn't sound like Alexis.
09:05I know. I wouldn't have believed it either, but Molly showed me the papers. I saw it for myself.
09:09Why do you think she's doing this?
09:11Because she thought I was overwhelmed and being erratic lately, and that everything I've been going through has been a lot worse than I've been telling her.
09:21And is it?
09:24I've had a really hard year.
09:28Yeah, hey, look, Christina, you lost a baby, and Sam, it'd be hard for anyone.
09:35But you have to know that no one would judge you or look at you differently if you did decide to do something to get better.
09:45I know that, but it would be different if it were you or Michael or Molly, even, who came to me and suggested this out of genuine care and concern.
09:56You know, we would have talked, probably argued about it, but I would have been able to get over it.
10:02Yeah, you probably would have been.
10:02Okay, but it's my mom being blindsided by my mother like this.
10:06Those papers were terrible.
10:08And she feels really bad, and I wish that I could just move past this.
10:12I do, but I can't.
10:13I don't know if I'm ever going to be able to forgive her and trust her again.
10:17You can relax.
10:18I'm fine.
10:19I had a checkup yesterday, and my recovery is right on schedule.
10:23Lucky's just taking a break.
10:24He's having breakfast with his family, which I encouraged.
10:28Why?
10:29Was he going to be too much?
10:31Too clingy?
10:32Was he being negligent in his care?
10:34No, but we can't spend every second together.
10:36We'd kill each other.
10:37Oh, can't have that.
10:38That's our thing.
10:39Mm-hmm.
10:40Hilarious.
10:41I just came by to check on you to see if you needed anything.
10:45Well, thank you, but I'm fine.
10:47Is that a Porsche?
10:50Oh, yeah.
10:52It's the 911 GT3.
10:54It's always been a dream car of mine, and I finally just...
10:57decided to break down and buy it.
10:59Drives even better than I imagined.
11:01Wait, you bought a sports car after the horrible accident we just went through?
11:05Well...
11:06Yeah, I mean, why not?
11:08I mean, it's not like speed was a factor in our trash.
11:11But we couldn't stop.
11:13I even told you to slow down.
11:16Break, slow down.
11:17Try it.
11:18I just remembered, right before we crashed, you said something about the brakes.
11:26I can't get you released today if the doctor won't sign off on it.
11:32But everyone loves you, Stella.
11:34Maybe you can just talk to him for me.
11:36Not this time, baby.
11:38And even if I could convince him, I'm not sure that I should.
11:41You need to recover first.
11:43I've been doing everything I can to prove that I'm ready.
11:45I'm pushing myself really hard and hitting all my PT goals ahead of schedule.
11:49Look, I've even been doing an extra session every single day.
11:52Why are you so eager to get discharged?
11:55I mean, the food isn't that bad.
11:57And the company's a delight.
11:59It's Trina.
12:00I need to be there for her nurse's ball performance.
12:02I want to show up and support her just like she showed up and supported me.
12:08I feel terrible about it.
12:10But yes, the job that I got with Professor Dalton is the one that Emma wanted.
12:14I applied on a whim.
12:15I didn't think that I'd actually get it.
12:17Well, don't tell Emma about the whim for her.
12:18That'll kill her.
12:19Yes, I know, but Trina, I basically thought that Emma had the job and Dalton just hadn't
12:24announced it was hers yet.
12:26I never thought that he'd actually choose me.
12:29Well, I didn't even know that you were interested in his class.
12:31Environmental physics, right?
12:33Yeah, I had such a great time on my Easter Island trip that when I came home, I did everything
12:39I could to get into his class.
12:40And I don't know, I just really liked it.
12:43Then I love it for you.
12:46Emma does not.
12:47I don't blame her.
12:49I mean, hey, she'll come around and there's other jobs and Emma's pretty amazing.
12:54She'll find something that she likes.
12:56And you know what?
12:57It's not even like you stole the job.
12:58Professor Dalton gave it to you fair and square.
13:02This is not good, Carly.
13:04I had no idea the divorce proceedings would be scheduled so soon.
13:07Doesn't make sense.
13:08Every time I've ever dealt with family court, it's taken forever, Jason.
13:11Yes, you're right.
13:12Normally it does, but this judge had an unexpected opening on his calendar and given the high
13:17profile nature of this case, he just slotted it in.
13:20I can't believe this.
13:20I don't...
13:21I thought I had more time.
13:22It doesn't matter what you thought.
13:23It was never your call to make it.
13:24It was Michael's.
13:25I don't need it and I told you so right now.
13:28Michael's children are stuck living with Drew and Willow.
13:32They act like he doesn't matter.
13:33Hell, they act like he doesn't even exist.
13:34I have to get those kids out of that house as soon as possible and Michael would want
13:38the same thing.
13:40How do we fix this?
13:46Willow, Corinthos?
13:47Yes.
13:48You've been served.
14:02No.
14:02No, this can't be happening.
14:05What is it?
14:06Michael's moving forward with the divorce.
14:08He's trying to get full custody.
14:13Gotta get back to Elizabeth, but I'm glad we had a chance to hang out with just us.
14:19Oh, me too.
14:20I love you too, sweetheart, so much.
14:22Tell Elizabeth we said hi.
14:23I will.
14:25Bye.
14:28So, do you have to run off too?
14:30No.
14:31I'm all yours.
14:32Okay, I wanted to ask you about something you mentioned earlier.
14:36You said that you made a decision to put off the article about adoption.
14:42I just want to know why.
14:44It made me think about the people I love, and I'm wondering if I should still write the
14:52article, because writing the piece might hurt those people.
14:57I gotta say, I hate hearing you say you and your mom aren't gonna be close again.
15:02I know how much she loves you.
15:03That's gotta count for something.
15:05I know my mom loves me too.
15:07I do.
15:08But that doesn't make what she did right or okay.
15:11In fact, it actually makes it hurt more.
15:13Okay, I get it.
15:14But Dad and I have been in a very, very similar situation.
15:18Yeah?
15:18Yeah.
15:20Yeah, I mean, I didn't trust him for a long time.
15:23But through talking and connecting, we got past that.
15:26And if it was possible for us, it's definitely possible for you and Alexis.
15:29I just want to bring my family back together.
15:32I just, I want us to spend time with each other for Danny and Scout.
15:35I mean, that's what Sam would have wanted.
15:38Yeah, it is.
15:41I think if, if there is any good to come from what my mom did, it's, Molly really had my back.
15:49And that felt really good.
15:50You know, we're closer than ever right now.
15:52Well, hey, that's a silver lining, right?
15:55And if all those fails, you have me.
15:59Thanks, I love you.
16:00Yeah, I love you too.
16:06Having said that, I feel like there's something else going on.
16:08Because I'm not just your brother, I do happen to be a detective.
16:12So whatever's bothering you, I hope you know you can tell me about it.
16:16It's imperative that you find Rick's totaled car.
16:20For some reason, no one seems to know where it is.
16:22Right, so we begin at the beginning.
16:24You said the accident was due to black ice?
16:26It would seem so.
16:27Well, then, barring any unforeseen circumstances, this should present low difficulty.
16:33Um, may I?
16:34Yeah, thank you.
16:34So I do find myself pondering the why behind your request.
16:38I mean, what, what do you want with Rick's car?
16:40And if this was deemed settled by various authorities, what do you think you'll find?
16:45I would prefer not to say.
16:48So can you find the car or not?
16:51Spray that annoyed exasperation?
16:53It was like I was talking to Samantha.
16:58I should be able to find the car by lunch.
17:00I remember telling you to slow down and you couldn't.
17:06Do you remember that?
17:09I do.
17:10Um, and I couldn't because of the black ice.
17:15You know, the tires were slipping all over the road and I couldn't steer through it.
17:18Um, I don't remember that part.
17:22Well, look, don't torture yourself over it.
17:25I can remember enough for both of us.
17:28Besides, it doesn't really matter.
17:29The insurance company collected the car from the impound lot already, so it's gone.
17:35Look, you and I are both recovering and I think the best thing to do is to just put this whole horrible incident behind us.
17:42Wow, I'm surprised.
17:45Rick I know would have already tried to sue the city for the black ice to pay for that new fancy car of yours.
17:51Wow.
17:53After all these years, you look at me as an ambulance chaser.
17:58Look, Elizabeth, I hope you know if you had been seriously injured, I would have made sure that somebody paid for it.
18:04I can't believe Michael's doing this.
18:10And he refused to even talk to me about it first.
18:13Yeah, I don't understand this either.
18:14Why would Michael push for full custody when he isn't even here to fight for it?
18:19I got here as soon as I could.
18:25I'm so sorry that this is happening.
18:27No, I'm just, I'm glad you're here.
18:29Okay, so this, let me have a look.
18:31Look, so Michael is really doing this.
18:34What, what is wrong with him?
18:37It doesn't make any sense.
18:38Why would Michael push for full custody now?
18:40Especially when I never even responded to his initial filing.
18:43Because he's as vindictive as the rest of the family, that's why.
18:47I don't even know what to do at this point.
18:49Martin's out of town.
18:50Well, the first thing that we gotta do is we gotta get a lawyer.
18:53And I know exactly who to call.
18:55Okay, our options at this point are extremely limited.
18:59Now, I can ask for a postponement citing a medical setback for Michael.
19:06If that's our only choice, I guess we have to take it.
19:08And that option comes with a significant risk.
19:12What kind of risk?
19:14Asking for a postponement on medical grounds is going to hand Drew and Willow ammunition on a silver platter.
19:20They can, and they will argue, that Michael's health is preventing him from being able to raise his children.
19:28And they will cite the fact that he's not able to be in the courtroom as proof of that fact.
19:33And frankly, if I'm being honest, it's a very persuasive argument.
19:36Okay, so by scheduling the court date without talking to Michael, we may have opened the door for Willow to get full custody of the kids.
19:45I can't believe it's Nurse's Mall already.
19:53I know, right?
19:53I feel like we were just rehearsing for the last one.
19:55I know, right?
19:56Do you know what you're gonna wear?
19:58Or where we should party afterwards?
20:00Um, you know, I haven't really thought about it yet.
20:04Well, we could do the Savoy.
20:05Okay.
20:05Hey, I'm pitching this whole night to myself.
20:11I'm already in.
20:15I'm sorry.
20:16Um, I've been wanting to talk to you about this for a while, but we're just not home at the same time, and I really wanted to do it in person.
20:24Okay, now I'm worried.
20:26I'm really excited about performing with you.
20:29But, as soon as we're done, I'm leaving.
20:32Still working hard, I see.
20:36Yes, ma'am.
20:38My doctor can see me for himself, and my physical therapist can vouch for me.
20:41And that way, I can be discharged and walk the red carpet with Trina.
20:46I'm sorry, son.
20:47That's not happening.
20:51After Michael found out that Drew and I were together, we both realized our marriage was over, and Michael agreed to let me take our kids with me.
20:59To my house for the night.
21:01He never said forever.
21:02Whose side are you on, Nina?
21:04Drew.
21:05Rick has to know everything if he's going to be prepared.
21:08Yeah, no, no, no.
21:09She's right.
21:09Okay.
21:10Continue.
21:11But when I went to D.C. with Drew and Wiley...
21:15Without telling Michael.
21:17What?
21:18I didn't tell Michael.
21:20And after that, he changed his mind and filed for full custody.
21:24His accident happened later that same day.
21:26So things have been at a standstill since then.
21:29Okay, so since Michael has been recovering, nothing has happened until now.
21:35Tracy Quartermain took my kids and tried to keep them at the mansion.
21:38I'd stare clear of them.
21:40Those people can't be trusted.
21:41About anything.
21:42That's why the kids and I stayed with my mom for a while before we moved in here, where it's much safer.
21:47But now, for some reason, Michael's moving forward with his plan for full custody.
21:51It's got Carly's fingerprints all over it.
21:53Okay, um, after, uh, everything that you've told me, I, uh, I'm happy to come on as counsel.
22:03Why do I think that you're interested in this case for reasons that have nothing to do with advocating for my daughter?
22:11Well, I'm not going to lie, Nina.
22:14It's not every day that I get to fight a high-profile custody case involving a congressman.
22:19And I always love taking down Diane Miller in court.
22:21Plus, I'm not particularly fond of my nephew, and if all of this happens to aggravate my brother, Sonny, then all the better.
22:29Now that sounds right.
22:31Does this mean you actually think we stand a chance of winning?
22:37I wouldn't be here if I didn't think we could.
22:44No, we're not giving Willow anything.
22:46We're not going to ask for a postponement.
22:48We're going to keep the June 2nd court date.
22:50Okay, great.
22:50If that is the plan, then I will contact Michael.
22:53I will apprise him of this situation, and I will ask what he wants to do.
22:56No!
22:57Michael cannot rush his recovery.
22:59He has to stay and heal.
23:00Carly, Michael has to be in court to fight for his kids, or he has to be the one to request a postponement.
23:05No, he doesn't.
23:06I will fight for Wiley and Amelia on Michael's behalf.
23:09How?
23:09I'm sorry, sweetheart, but I just spoke to your doctor.
23:15And he said that there is no way that someone who had the kind of surgery that you did can be released this soon.
23:22No matter how strong you feel you are, you still need to be monitored.
23:27I can't believe this.
23:29Like, I feel great, and I've been moving around even better than I expected.
23:32I really thought the doctor would say yes.
23:34I know you did.
23:35And I hated to be the one to come in and tell you.
23:38I'd rather hear it from you.
23:39Look, I know how much you want to go to that nurse's ball and support Trina, but you just keep working hard.
23:47Tomorrow's another day.
23:52Hang on.
23:55I, I'm not forging any signatures, not even for you.
23:59That was plan B anyway.
24:00So, I can't be discharged today, but is there a chance I can still be discharged in time for the nurse's ball?
24:06Well, as I like to say, anything is possible.
24:13You're bailing right after the show?
24:16Why?
24:17Is it because of Kai?
24:19Yeah.
24:20He's been going through a lot with the surgery, and he just needs me right now.
24:25And I feel like it's really important that I'm there for him.
24:28That's really amazing of you.
24:30No.
24:31He's amazing.
24:32Really.
24:32Kai has been handling this whole thing so well.
24:38But football and his team, that was, that was everything to him.
24:44And then he lost them both.
24:47And, and I know what it feels like to just have your whole world just ripped away from you, you know?
24:52And I also know what it feels like to just, to have somebody there for you at your lowest point.
24:59I understand completely.
25:02I know you do.
25:04Because you were that for me.
25:06And you were that person for me.
25:08And I just want to pay the gift forward with Kai.
25:10I tapped into the city's database, which was woefully unsecured.
25:16And I found the lot that Rick's car was taken to after the accident.
25:19Then I peeked into their system, which really, James could have done.
25:22Really, we as a people ought to give more thought to cybersecurity.
25:26When we're done here, that's all I'll think about.
25:29Um, so I, the lot has Rick's car marked as destroyed.
25:34But since you're searching for it, that's clearly not the case.
25:38I have reason to believe that someone paid off the lot to remove the car.
25:43So what I want to know is if you can find any tow trucks that came onto the lot somewhere inside of three or four days that were picking up and not dropping off.
25:51Right.
25:52Running a citywide sweep for any tow trucks picking up vehicles from the lot during that time frame will take some time.
25:59But it should give us the interest that we're looking for.
26:04Hey, how was breakfast?
26:07Oh, uh, yeah, it's always good to catch up with Mom and Lulu.
26:12Everyone's relieved that Rocco's okay.
26:15And now Lulu has something to hold over his head for, you know, forever.
26:20So, you know, it's all good.
26:22Well, as a mom, you gotta have a few cards up your sleeve.
26:25You know, Lulu never forgets anything.
26:26So I think Rocco's grandchildren are probably gonna hear about what he did.
26:31What about you?
26:32You doing okay?
26:33Can I get you anything?
26:34Yeah, no, I'm fine.
26:36Rick stopped by earlier to show off his new Porsche.
26:41That's typical.
26:43But while we were talking, I remembered something about the crash.
26:48Oh, yeah?
26:52What?
26:53I remembered telling Rick to slow down right before we crashed.
26:58And Rick remembers losing control of the car because he hit black ice.
27:04Oh.
27:06Does, uh, does Rick remember anything else?
27:09My job as mayor and your job as a journalist are kind of similar in that both of our positions
27:17ask us to be responsible to the people and to do the right thing.
27:22And that's exactly what I'm struggling with.
27:24I'm not even sure what the right thing to do is.
27:27As a journalist, the truth I write can change lives, and I'm not sure I'm ready for that.
27:32Well, if you're changing people's lives for the worse, you can always say you're taking
27:35after your mother.
27:36Do you mind?
27:37Do you mind?
27:38I am having breakfast with my daughter.
27:41And if there is something that you need to discuss with me, you can always make an appointment
27:44with my office.
27:45Or you know what?
27:46You could just go and make more snarky comments to the press or on social media.
27:52You're such a threat.
27:53I'm sensing tension.
27:55What are you gonna do?
27:56Sick your best friend Sonny Corinthos on me?
27:58Given Drew's recent scandal, the fact that he's partying with high-class escorts, he
28:07is testing positive for drugs, we can file an emergency petition for custody.
28:14Yeah, but is there a real chance Carly can get it or not?
28:17You can never predict these things, but we have the video proof.
28:22We've got photos of his debauched behavior.
28:24And we have his press release, where he basically admits that he has ketamine in his system.
28:28Okay, so Drew's sleaziness is a gift to us.
28:31Possibly.
28:32Emergency petitions exist to protect children from imminent danger.
28:36One could argue that living with Drew in that house with him, Michael's children are in danger.
28:44So there's a legitimate reason to file.
28:47And a very good chance that I can beat Willow and Drew and rescue my grandchildren.
28:51So, if we're all in agreement, I'd like to reach out to Martin, have his office send over all the notes and files on your case.
28:59That sounds great.
29:01Okay then.
29:02You should know that Martin and my mom thought our best strategy would be to investigate Michael.
29:07Well, we were hoping to find something incriminating so we could use it against him in court.
29:11Did you have any luck?
29:13Martin hired a PI, but they didn't find anything.
29:15Well, Martin and I are very different lawyers, so if there is anything to find, I bet I can find it.
29:22But we are going to have to ask for a postponement.
29:26But won't that look bad for us?
29:28Well, the court frowns on it a little bit, but it's not going to matter if we take the time to get what we need to use against Michael.
29:35We're not going to need a postponement.
29:36I got the perfect strategy to make sure that Willow gets full custody of her kids.
29:42Who the hell do you think you are?
29:49You can't talk to my mom like that.
29:51Take it easy.
29:52We're just talking politics.
29:54Your mother is a colleague.
29:55Oh, I know exactly who and what you are, and soon the world will, too.
29:58I think I just found my next piece.
30:01Threatening me with a hit piece?
30:03My goodness.
30:05No one is going to take it seriously when it's written by the mayor's daughter.
30:07Okay, that's enough.
30:08That's enough, sweetheart.
30:09Thank you very much, but I will handle this.
30:11Ezra, this is not...
30:12It's so sanctimonious and insufferable.
30:14It's easy to see why your grandson would turn to the old bottle in order to cope.
30:19My grandson is none of your business.
30:22You're out of line.
30:23You're completely out of line.
30:24No, you get out of here right now, Ezra, before this goes any further.
30:28Oh, it's going to go much further, and I'm going to enjoy every second of it.
30:31Now, if you don't think you can take it, I suggest you drop out right now.
30:33It's not about me.
30:34Because the story about your underage grandson's near-death experience from alcohol poisoning is just the beginning.
30:41How dare you, you bastard!
30:43Just promise me you're not going to worry about me, okay?
30:53Because I'm going to be fine, really.
30:55Everything's okay.
30:57I'm going to be fine.
30:57I think my mom was just picking up on how worried I was about Molly's dad.
31:02You know, I was with her when she got the call, so...
31:05That had to have been rough.
31:07Yeah.
31:08And then I was also with her while she was in the hospital, waiting to find out if her dad was going to live or die.
31:13Sitting in the hospital, waiting for information, that's...
31:19It's kind of awful you don't forget.
31:23Yeah.
31:24I know.
31:25It was really triggering.
31:27It brought back a lot of terrible memories.
31:29Man, that accident was really bad.
31:31I mean, the entire passenger side of Rick's car was completely demolished.
31:37Thank God Rick and Elizabeth are okay.
31:39Yeah, you know, I have a paramedic friend who was on the scene.
31:42He said it was like a miracle they survived.
31:46Wait.
31:47How did you see Rick's car that night?
31:52Victory is ours!
31:53At last.
31:53What'd you find?
31:54Right.
31:55Thor tow trucks visited the impound lot within those three days following Rick and Elizabeth's accident.
32:00And only three of them went to legitimate destinations, i.e. auto body shops, garages.
32:06One of them went to a storage facility on 12th Street.
32:10Did you look at the records?
32:11Of course I did, nice one.
32:13So it lines up perfectly with a timeline that starts with the tow truck departing the impound lot.
32:19And only one account was opened that day.
32:24Jerome, comma, A.
32:27Yes!
32:30Rick said he's remembered a few things about the accident, but when I asked him about it, he said we just need to let it go.
32:39But the insurance company has already taken the car from the impound lot, and since it's gone, there's really nothing for us to do but move on.
32:48That's good. He's moving on from all of this.
32:52Yeah.
32:53Wait, did you say the insurance company took his car?
32:57Yeah, that's what Rick said.
32:58In my opinion, a petition arguing that Willow has placed the children in an unsafe environment is the best.
33:09No, actually, it's our only strategy.
33:12Judge is going to have a very difficult time ignoring the video and photo evidence of Drew's wild night out.
33:18And keeping the children in his home reflects very poorly on Willow's judgment.
33:26It should.
33:27And I just want to protect my grandchildren.
33:29I don't know. Maybe this could work.
33:31There's just one last consideration.
33:34What?
33:35All the evidence damning Drew may be enough to strip Willow of custody, but it doesn't mean that you're going to get it.
33:44Wiley and Amelia could be placed with their other grandmother.
33:48Nina.
33:48It's a risk I'm willing to take.
33:54Anything to get those kids away from Drew and Willow.
34:00I can't believe I have to worry about what a court will decide to do with my children.
34:04Again.
34:05Judges don't take kids away from their mother, especially when they've done nothing wrong.
34:10Drew, we had an affair.
34:13And now we're living together.
34:15My kids haven't exactly had the most stable home life lately.
34:17People fall in love, and judges know that.
34:20Yes, they do.
34:22But can we talk about that legal strategy that you just mentioned earlier?
34:26Fine. Fine.
34:28All right.
34:30It's true.
34:31Of course, Michael is receiving treatment for his injuries, but he chose to leave the country for that treatment.
34:38There was an option that would have kept him close to his kids in their lives and chose not to take that option.
34:43And he has not reached out to his kids once through their mother.
34:48He's only called or video chatted when the kids were with Christina, Monica, or Carly.
34:53So as far as Willow's concerned, Michael has been completely MIA.
34:57That's true.
34:58And the night of the Christmas party, Michael encouraged Willow to take the kids that night.
35:03Both Nina and Carly witnessed that.
35:05We did.
35:06So we paint Michael like an absentee father who's effectively abandoned his kids.
35:13We frame him like that.
35:17There's no chance he's going to get custody of his kids.
35:19There's no chance he's got to take the kids.
35:20Thanks.
