00:00We're at day 10 now. We were displaced from our property Friday week ago.
00:05There is a subsidence on the hill, 370 metres above us and off to one side.
00:12The fracture line is above the embankment on Lighthouse Road.
00:17It's significant, there's probably over 1,000 cubic metres in volume.
00:23It's destabilised and obviously there's a sliding zone.
00:27I understand that the authorities that are managing the process have to do their due diligence and that sort of thing.
00:33But at the end of the day, a landslide won't go away by itself. It needs remediation.
00:39So I think they need to get on and do some work.
00:42Since the flood that happened about 10 days ago now, we just have had to completely shut.
00:48We run tours to Pohatu Flea Bay with four-wheel drive minivans.
00:53And the only road accessing the bay has been, you know, completely blocked.
00:58It's a potential big sleep.
01:01And I know that geotechnicians from the council have been there and they've been studying the area.
01:05And we're hoping that maybe today or tomorrow, we would have a bit more of an update as to what's happening.
01:13And they might allow remote access or restricted access to the area.
01:19And so potentially in the next few days, we might be able to reopen our tours.
01:25But, you know, that would just be a bit different than what we commonly do.
