00:00News coming in right now, DGMOs of Indian Army and Pakistan Army to speak today on ceasefire agreed between them.
00:09The three DGMOs will also address a press conference today with special focus on Indian Air Force strikes across the border.
00:18That's what sources are telling India today right now.
00:25Shivani has more details.
00:27Shivani, it's around noon, I think that the DGMO level talks are expected to take place.
00:33Could you tell us the importance of these talks, especially after ceasefire was agreed?
00:42Harshit, these will be very important talks between the DGMOs of India and Pakistan as was planned after 10th of May when at 5pm the ceasefire was announced.
00:53It was also then decided that on 12th of May, that is today, there will be a DGMO level talks between India and Pakistan.
01:01So when these officials will be talking today, India will be keeping ahead its warning to Pakistan that we are ready for any kind of retribution.
01:10It was a request from Pakistan that had come for the ceasefire after it started escalating the situation post-Pahal Kam attack and India's Operation Sindhu.
01:19So the DGMO of India will definitely raise this issue with Pakistan that this take it as a warning that India is ready and in a state of high alert on all the borders.
01:29And if it comes to the airspace also, we are on a high alert and if any kind of breach of ceasefire happens again, it will be dealt very strictly in a very adequate response and a befitting response.
01:43This time we also learn that the DGMOs will be speaking and then the DGMOs of Army, Navy and the Air Force will again be taking on a briefing in the evening.
01:54This will also be important in terms of the air strikes that India has taken on the air bases of Pakistan, inflicting damages, heavy damages, not only to the infrastructure, their radars, their hangars, their air defence systems.
02:09So this will be another big press conference briefing by the DGMOs of the Army after the talks happen.
02:16Shivani, what time could we be expecting that press briefing in the evening?
02:20Because it was quite a press conference yesterday in the past 24 hours and it put a lot of facts in public domain that I think the Indian public and I'm sure the Pakistanis as well watching very carefully.
02:33But why do you think that briefing will come today?
02:36There's been a lull at the border.
02:38Why do you believe that the DGMOs believe that there needs to be another round of press conference and what are we expecting on that?
02:44Pooja Sea Operation Sindoor has been an unprecedented historic operation that has been taken by the Indian forces and there is much detail that needs to be known to the people because, you know, Pakistan has been indulging into fake narrative setting and bringing out false agenda against India and India's defence forces.
03:08So it is required to bust that agenda.
03:11We've heard in a detailed briefing that happened yesterday evening, Pooja, there were so many facts that were put forth by the DGMOs.
03:19But today is yet another important call between the DGMOs of India and Pakistan, where we are learning that the DGMOs of India will be warning strictly to Pakistan.
03:30And we'll also be maintaining a vigil as we do, as we come to know that through these borders, there is a vigil, a high alert state.
03:39And today evening, what we are learning that on the specifically on the airstrike that India has conducted throughout these five days when operations in Luz started and when the attempts of Pakistan's air intrusions were also thwarted,
03:54how we retaliated, how we destroyed the systems out there on the park air bases, including the military infrastructure, the hangars and all the other important support vehicles, the support systems,
04:06we have actually given it a very hard lesson.
04:09But yes, Pakistan conducted, Pakistan DGISPR had addressed a briefing late, late last night.
04:17There were a lot of false facts that were brought out.
04:20So what we believe is that in today's briefing, the timing will be confirmed very shortly, Pooja, about this briefing where the DGMOs of the Army, Navy and Air Force will be there.
04:31But certainly those myths, that myth will be busted once again.
04:35Those facts will be corrected and checked and a very strong warning will once again.
04:38India always believed that we are fighting terrorism and against with regard to Pakistan and that we don't have to put out those facts and perspectives consistently.
04:48But it's also the age of communication warfare and it's important while Pakistan is spreading false propagandas,
04:54we need to not only bust it but also let them know this time with evidence precisely exactly the damage that has been caused on their territory.
05:01Shivani, please stay on with me.
05:02How is India using all its resources to ensure our people, our armed forces are kept safe?
05:08Let's take a look at the big news coming in.
05:10Isro satellites are keeping a watch on our borders and our seashore.
05:22That's the kind of effort, remember?
05:24The positive contribution that India made to the world in the field of space and science.
05:31Now, the round-the-clock watch by 10 Isro satellites is being done.
05:36Isro chief has said this and that must ensure safety through satellites.
05:42This is, remember, where India is a country that's been progressing, whether it's economy, whether it's our space missions, whether it's on the ground, whether it's people.
05:50Shivani, stay on with me as we listen in to the Isro chief V. Narayana.
06:06If we have to ensure safety of this country, we have to really serve through the satellite.
06:15We have to monitor the entire 7,500 km sea-sore area, we have to monitor.
06:21And the entire northern part, we have to monitor continuously.
06:25Without satellite technology, without drone technology, we cannot achieve that.
06:28Today, I am happy to inform that at least 10 satellites are continuously working, 24 by 7 working, for the strategic purpose to ensure safety and security of the citizens of this country.
06:41Araiza Shivani joins us on this.
06:44Shivani, isn't this exactly the differentiation between India and Pakistan?
06:48We have launch pads for space, for space missions, for science.
06:53Pakistan has launch pads for terror outfits.
06:58And this time, these science launch pads and space launch pads are helping us to ensure that our country could be kept safe.
07:04Tell me more about this.
07:05Isro chief is saying, Isro satellites are keeping a watch.
07:09What does that mean?
07:10How are we ensuring that our satellites will be, will keep it on the radar to check any kind of suspicious movement?
07:17See, what Isro chief has said, he was speaking in a program in Impal, where he's made it very clear that 10 satellites are working, 24 by 7, only for the strategic purposes.
07:32That means, only for security purposes, so that any kind of unfavorable movement towards India can be checked and thwarted.
07:40That is the synergy between the armed forces, the Isro, where the scientists have been working relentlessly for national security.
07:48And here, when Operation Sindhuur was on and even before that and even after that.
07:54So, all the time, we've seen that how the satellites that are being installed, they are ready for any kind of surveillance purposes.
08:02They can check the movements in the skies.
08:04They can derive information from the enemy movement.
08:07And so, this is how the 70,000 kilometers of the shore, the sea, the coastal distance, and also the northern distance, that's what the chairman also said, that we have to be vigilant 24 by 7, and we are much capable of that.
08:24The science and technology, the scientists of the country, be it the Isro, be it the DRDO, they have been working for national security purposes.
08:32And that's what we've been doing.
08:34And here, the exemplary operations of the Indian Armed Forces are a result of this combination of efforts by the scientists, the Isro scientists, the weapon systems we possess, the skill of our armed forces.
08:47So, once again, this comes to me as an acknowledgement of the fact that India is ready for any kind of...
08:52Whether from on the ground, in the air, in the sea, or in space as much.
08:56That's how Isro is ensuring our country is kept safe.
08:59Shivani, stay on with me.
09:00Now, here's the latest.
09:02Monday morning, what is the week looking like?
09:05A big thumbs up from the Indian Armed Forces to the success of India's Operation Sindhuur.
09:11Military leadership revealed the key details of the operation and with evidence.
09:15Pakistan Army is reported to have lost approximately 35 to 40 personnel in artillery and small arms firing on the line of control.
09:22This was between 7th to 10th May.
09:24India also has lost five of its braves in this operation.
09:27Now, Indian military emphasising that the operation was launched to punish the perpetrators and planners of terror and not just, remember, not just Pehelgaam, but all these years.
09:37The aim has been, therefore, to only target in turn the terror infrastructure.
09:42Indian Armed Forces also making it very clear.
09:44Any threat to the nation's sovereignty will be met with a decisive force.
09:48The Armed Forces also have confirmed that over 100 terrorists in the first strike were neutralised in the strikes.
09:55Among them were key operatives, remember, involved, according to reports surfacing, in the IC814 hijacking and the Pulwama terror attack.
10:03Indian Armed Forces also further stating several Pakistani fighter jets were shot down during this engagement.
10:09And not just their multiple air bases.
10:11Radar stations in Pakistan have been destroyed.
10:14All of this were with images that were shared during the press briefing.
10:18But they also asserted that a ceasefire deal or an understanding announced after India's strikes on Pakistan airbase was initiated at the request of Pakistan DGMO.
10:28We have thus far, ladies and gentlemen, exercised, and my colleague, Pramod, highlighted this, immense restraint, and our actions have been focused, measured, and non-escalatory.
10:45However, any threat to the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and safety of our citizens will be met with decisive force.
10:58I would not like to comment on that because we are still in a combat situation.
11:07And if I comment on anything, it will only be advantage-adversary.
11:14So we don't want to give him any advantage at this stage.
11:18All I can say is that we have achieved our objectives that we selected, and all our pilots are back home.
11:28Our fight was neither with the Pakistani military nor with anybody else who is there on the other side.
11:37Our fight was with the terrorists.
11:39We neutralized the terrorists that we selected to be neutralized.
11:43And thereafter, we only maintained the air defense posture.
11:48However, we were relentlessly pounded by waves after waves, night after night, by his U-caps, by his drones, and by his other unmanned aerial systems.
12:01And that left us with no choice but to retaliate.
12:06And yet, our retaliation was calibrated, it was graduated, and it was proportionate.
12:11In the aftermath of the cowardly attacks on innocent tourists at Pahlgham in Jammu and Kashmir by Pakistani-sponsored terrorists on 22nd April,
12:22the Indian Navy's carrier battle group, surface forces, submarines, and aviation assets were immediately deployed at sea
12:30with full combat readiness in concert with the joint operation plan of the Indian Defense Forces.
12:38You may be aware that we tested and refined tactics and procedures at sea during multiple weapon firings in the Arabian Sea
12:48within 96 hours of the terrorist attack.
12:52The aim was to revalidate our crew, armament, equipment, and platform readiness
12:59to deliver various ordnance on selected targets precisely.
13:04Thereafter, our forces remained forward deployed in the Northern Arabian Sea in a decisive and deterrent posture
13:14with full readiness and capacity to strike select targets at sea and on land, including Karachi, at time of our choosing.
13:27The forward deployment of the Indian Navy compelled Pakistani naval and air units to be in a defensive posture,
13:37mostly inside harbors or very close to the coast, which we monitored continuously.
13:44The Indian Navy maintained seamless maritime domain awareness throughout the duration
13:50and was entirely aware of the location and movement of Pakistani units.
13:58In effect, we had and continue to have good battle space transparency using our maritime domain awareness grid.
14:09As you are aware, our response has been measured, proportionate, non-escalatory, and responsible from day one.
14:19Accordingly, the calibrated approach considered all options, including the ability of the Indian Navy
14:28for offensive action from and at sea.
14:33As part of this escalation control mechanism, the application of force by the Navy was planned in a synchronized manner
14:42in coordination with the Army and Air Force, the highlight being teams from the three services working closely in an integrated manner.
14:53Along with the kinetic actions by the Indian Army and Indian Air Force,
14:59the overwhelming operational edge of Indian Navy at sea contributed towards Pakistan's urgent request for a ceasefire yesterday.
15:10As we speak, Indian Navy remains deployed at sea in a credible deterrent posture
15:17to respond decisively to any inimical action by Pakistan or Pakistan-based terrorists.
15:26My colleague, Shivani Sharma, all these days has been reporting from border areas of JNK.
15:31She joins me now on this.
15:32Shivani, for the viewer tuning in right now, just in case they missed the briefing,
15:35let's discuss three key points on Pakistani fighter jets that were downed,
15:40also the kind of damage that were caused to the Pakistan air bases,
15:44and importantly, what happens next when the question was posed,
15:48if there is an attack, whether terror or military from Pakistan into Indian Territory,
15:52how will the response going to be?
15:54So, let's just break it down for the viewer now.
16:00Pooja, let's tell our viewers that this was an extraordinary operation by the armed forces,
16:06synergizing and heavy damages have been inflicted onto Pakistan in terms of hitting its around 20 bases,
16:13the military bases, the air bases, different locations where heavy damages have been inflicted,
16:18the runways are destroyed, the infrastructure has been destroyed,
16:22there is a loss of property to these military infrastructure,
16:27loss of personnel on the line of control as Indian Army retaliated strongly to the CS5 violations.
16:32Around 40 personnel on the line of control alone on the Pakistan side have lost their life.
16:38That was specified in the briefing yesterday.
16:41And much more loss in terms of personnel and fighter jets,
16:46many fighter jets, in fact, have been downed, the Pakistani fighter jets,
16:49that was being told to us yesterday's briefing.
16:53So, that means a very strong message has gone, a very strong action has been taken.
16:57India has hit Pakistan very hard.
17:00Second very important thing is that Pakistan has been giving out false and fake narrative.
17:05It has been just playing the information warfare and trying to win the narrative,
17:09but actually it has been lying all the time, right from the leadership of the PM to the army chief out there,
17:17the DGISPR, all the facts they've been bringing.
17:19In fact, last evening when they were showing the pictures of Udhampur Air Base with the crater,
17:25that was a false tailored picture.
17:27So, again, this false narrative has been busted.
17:31Very important point here is that India remains in a high alert of preparedness.
17:36India is much more stronger than Pakistan.
17:38We have chosen to be measured in our strikes and we can do much more if one more time Pakistan tries to escalate attention.
17:46Despite them launching terror attacks one after another, with military attacks as well,
17:51India's response has been measured, calibrated, coordinated.
17:55And that reflects on the kind of democracy in the nation that we are.
17:59Shivani, thank you for now and keep tracking all the latest on that.
18:03But I want to take you through the big takeaways of India's Operation Sindur.
18:08Remember, nine terror hubs were destroyed.
18:11And this is not just a claim or a mention.
18:13It was all revealed with evidence before and after through satellite images, through ground images as well.
18:18One hundred plus terrorists killed when you attack Bahawalpur, when you strike at Muridke.
18:24Imagine the kind of impact.
18:26These were the hubs of Lashkar-e-Taybha and Jaish-e-Mohammad.
18:29But it's not just about the terror strike.
18:31When Pakistan military also attacked the Indian territory, tried to, of course, intercepted by our defence system.
18:37In turn, that's when the military responded to the military targets in which, according to the armed forces,
18:4235 to 40 Pakistan army personnel have also lost their life.
18:46All of this confirmed coming in from, remember, visuals from Pakistan too.
18:51But importantly, when the terror targets were struck, hijackers of the IC814 reportedly have also been killed in these strikes.
18:59Pulwama plotters with regard to Jaish-e-Mohammad in Bahawalpur have also been neutralised in these strikes.
19:05And then a confirmation came in from the air marshal that several Pakistan jets have been downed and destroyed too.
19:13Pakistan Air Force bases destroyed.
19:15Again, images were shared before and after.
19:18Ground images as well.
19:19Multiple Pakistan radar stations have been destroyed too.
19:23So heavy damage in different parts have been inflicted on the air bases and more.
19:28And this is important.
19:30For you wondering how did we reach this ceasefire understanding,
19:33it was an emergency call by Pakistan DGMO over the hotline.
19:38Pakistan requested for talks and ceasefire.
19:41Pakistan violated the ceasefire though.
19:43Sadly, again, unexpected how Pakistan behaves.
19:46And has been told in all clear terms now that any future act of terror will be seen as an act of war.
19:53However, for now, according to the armed forces, all goals related to the mission have been achieved.
19:58There was a thumbs up shown by the senior officers.
20:00But remember, amid all of this, it is also a fact that we have lost five of our brave Indian soldiers,
20:07especially along the line of control and IB, where the attacks were happening from Pakistan.
20:14But to any query, any clarity, all Indian pilots have been safe.
20:18Back home is what was said.
20:20Don't fall for Pakistani propaganda because all of our pilots are safe currently.
20:24But Indian Navy is prowling near Karachi.
20:27Operation Sindhoor is still ongoing.
20:30And therefore, any detail to come in will be measured and to ensure that operational details only give out the facts,
20:37but do not hamper further in any way.
20:39But let me now tell you, what did Operation Sindhoor achieve?
20:42Because that's one question that has been circulating on social media, I'll tell you.
20:4511 Pakistan air bases have been struck within three hours.
20:50This, remember, what happened two days ago.
20:53And within three hours, heavy damage inflicted on 11 Pakistan air bases, three of them including Noor Khan, most important.
21:0120% of Pakistan air force infrastructure has been destroyed.
21:0550 killed at Pakistan's Bolari air base, including, as has been a confirmation squadron leader, one, Usman Yusuf.
21:12Pakistan jets have been downed and destroyed at the Bolari air base.
21:17Indian armed forces bypassed.
21:20This is with regard to the air defence grid, jamming it for Pakistan.
21:25This was important.
21:26Jamming Pakistan's air defence grid is, in many ways, reflection of Chinese-made systems that are being sold to Pakistan at a high price.
21:35It was fielded by Pakistan.
21:38It was completely penetrated by the Indian strikes and systems.
21:41Nine high-value terror launchpads across Pakistan, even in POJK, were neutralised.
21:47This was our first try.
21:48You launch a terror attack, your terror targets will be hit, and it was done successfully.
21:53Several terrorists on India's most wanted list have been reportedly neutralised.
21:57Leadership, importantly, of multiple terror modules have been wiped out.
22:01This does not mean that, possibly, Pakistan has learnt any lesson.
22:05But the fact is, at least they realise now that India can penetrate and hit where it will hurt Pakistan.
22:11In what is being hailed clearly as a watershed moment in India's military and diplomatic history,
22:16India's Operation Sindur has delivered a resounding success.
22:20Military, political, and importantly, psychological.
22:23The military success of Operation Sindur is unequivocal.
22:27Strikes on the terror hubs, Bahawalpur, Mureetke, Muzaffarabad, and I can tell you, Pakistan never expected this.
22:31And it's not just symbolic.
22:33Devastatingly effective, because there have been ground evidence, not just satellite images or claims.
22:39Prime Minister Modi's words echoed across the country as well.
22:42As the sources have confirmed, he has told the armed forces and, of course, to the public as much,
22:48Mitti mein mila denge, aur mitti mein mila diya.
22:51Perhaps even more striking is India's strategic use of diplomacy.
22:55In this water treaty, remember the first step that we took?
22:58Linking the treaty's discontinuation to end cross-border terror.
23:02India has also decided to take forth one key piece of international diplomacy,
23:06and without breaching it, really.
23:08Government sources have said it will not allow India's water to nurture terror.
23:13This is assertive and legal.
23:15But Operation Sindhu, remember, apart from all of this, is a psychological victory as well.
23:21And I'll tell you why.
23:22It isn't just about hitting enemy targets or military targets.
23:26Deep inside enemy territory, military installations, key air bases, terror targets,
23:31that were once perceived untouchable by Pakistan.
23:35And remember that Modi government has been saying,
23:38ghuske maareenge.
23:39It was a political rhetoric, of course, a few years ago.
23:42It appears to have now become a military reality.
23:45Let me take you to surveillance visuals, confirming that these standing terror camps,
23:50barely a few years ago, have been eliminated.
23:53Not just infrastructure, but also key operatives.
23:55All these, remember, once were nerve centers for Pakistan.
23:59Images on your screen.
24:00Look at the before.
24:00And then, by 10th of May, it looked completely flattened.
24:05These are air bases, which have witnessed extreme damage.
24:10Then there are terror camps, like in Bahawalpur and others.
24:13Look at the Chaklala airfield.
24:14The Noor Khan, specifically in Rawalpindi.
24:17So, that's what you have, with evidence, not just claims from the armed forces.
24:24Operation Sindhuur was conceptualized with a clear military aim
24:29to punish the perpetrators and planners of terror
24:33and to destroy their terror infrastructure.
24:38What I do not state here, of course,
24:41is the often stated determination of India
24:44and its intolerance to terror.
24:47It set into motion a very diligent and microscopic scarring
24:53of the terror landscape across the borders
24:57and the identification of terror camps
25:00and training sites.
25:08And this Monday morning, I can tell you,
25:10the markets have also given a mega thumbs up.
25:12Not just the armed forces,
25:13but the markets also to the border truce
25:16and the stability that is coming in.
25:18And, of course, with regard to now the victory of the armed forces,
25:21markets giving a mega thumbs up too.
25:23What does that mean?
25:23Sensex jumps 1,800 points after the ceasefire understanding.
25:28Sensex is at 81,238.65 right now.
25:32Nifty is at 24,556,
25:35which means that also a 2.28% increase is what is being seen.
25:39Look at that.
25:40You see the slum that we witnessed in the past few days.
25:43There's definitely been a rise and stability.
25:47Business Today's Chetan Bhutani joins me this morning.
25:49Chetan, good morning.
25:50Tell me more about this.
25:52What does it mean?
25:53Is it really, do you think,
25:54with regard to the ceasefire understanding
25:56and a certain stability achieved
25:57that we see markets opening to this?
26:00Well, Pooja, you know,
26:01three global factors that are actually
26:03sharing the investor sentiment here is, of course,
26:06the number one reason
26:07is the India-Pakistan ceasefire agreement.
26:09Well, a significant boost to investor sentiment
26:11comes from the announcement of a full and immediate ceasefire
26:14between India and Pakistan.
26:16This development has,
26:17Alivia had actually elevated
26:18geopolitical tension
26:19that had previously unsettled the market.
26:21Second reason, Pooja,
26:23is what is active in the progress
26:25in U.S.-China trade talks.
26:26Global markets, including India,
26:28are buoyed by positive developments
26:29in U.S.-China trade negotiations.
26:31Both nations have reported substantial progress
26:33in talks aimed at de-escalating trade tensions,
26:36which has led to a surge in U.S. stock futures
26:38and a rally in Asian markets as well.
26:40Thirdly, Pooja, what really is also one of the good news
26:44that's coming in over the weekend
26:45was the Russia-Ukraine ceasefire prospect.
26:48Well, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy has called
26:50for an unconditional 30-day ceasefire
26:52starting May 12 as a pre-requisite
26:54for direct peace talks with Russia.
26:56Russian President Putin has also, in fact,
26:58proposed negotiations to begin on 15th May
26:59in Istanbul,
27:00though without agreeing to the unconditional ceasefire.
27:03But, yes, these three reasons
27:04are categorically, you know,
27:07adding to the investor sentiment
27:09of a peaceful and, of course,
27:12de-escalation globally.
27:14In fact, if I give you a sectoral highlight,
27:15Pooja, banking and financial,
27:17S-Bank and SBI,
27:18and I'm on the top gainers,
27:19with S-Bank rising over 4%,
27:21different stocks,
27:22companies in the defense sector
27:23are witnessing renewed buying interest
27:24as immediate geopolitical risk of sight.
27:27However, the pharmaceutical sector, Pooja,
27:29is not really in the best of its updates
27:31because of, of course,
27:32the U.S. President's announcement
27:34on pharmaceuticals.
27:35So, Sun Pharma, as we've seen,
27:37is down by about 5% of yearly.
27:39Markets are reacting very happily
27:40as of now,
27:41as the tuberctions have been subsiding.
27:43But, yes,
27:44Chetan, keep tracking
27:45because through the day
27:46we'll know how the markets are responding.
27:48But, remember,
27:49who doesn't like stability?
27:50Well, India always did.
27:52But when you have a nation
27:53as a neighbor like Pakistan,
27:55there are sometimes moments
27:57like we've witnessed
27:57in the past few days.
28:01But when it came to serving
28:04the military purpose,
28:05government sources have said
28:06Prime Minister Modi set out
28:07a clear objective
28:07that the terror camps
28:09need to be razed,
28:10the ones operating in Pakistan
28:12and to the ground.
28:13Seventh May strikes, remember,
28:15targeted training
28:16and logistical infrastructure
28:17and that is where
28:18Prime Minister Modi's
28:19Mitti Me Mila Denge objective
28:20as according to the armed forces
28:22have been achieved.
28:22An unparalleled success
28:30in India's glorious war record.
28:33A crushing Indian airstrike
28:35at Sargoda,
28:37Pakistan Army's
28:38nuclear weapons storage site.
28:41Another lethal Indian air raid
28:43at Chaklala
28:44in Pakistan's Ravalpindi,
28:46the seat of Pakistani army.
28:48First time ever
28:50in India's military history.
28:54A massive win,
28:55unthinkable
28:56until May 10th.
28:57India decisively achieved
28:59every strategic objective.
29:07Militarily,
29:08India demonstrated
29:09overwhelming superiority.
29:11India struck deep
29:12inside Pakistani territory,
29:14targeting cities
29:15and airfields at will.
29:19Pakistani counter-attacks
29:21were neutralized
29:22with surgical efficiency.
29:24Park fantasies
29:25of downing a Rafal
29:26or disabling an S-400,
29:29maintaining air superiority,
29:31remain just that,
29:32delusions.
29:33In reality,
29:34Prime Minister Modi's
29:35Mitti Me Mila Denge
29:36is done and delivered.
29:38Politically,
29:46the script changed
29:47like never before.
29:48After Uri,
29:49India allowed Pakistan
29:51the luxury
29:51of plausible deniability.
29:54Even post-Balakot,
29:56Pakistan spun
29:57a temporary PR win
29:58with the Abhinandan episode.
30:01This time,
30:02there was no such consolation.
30:04Pakistani PM
30:05can claim victory,
30:06but the world knows
30:08whose cities
30:09and airfields
30:10were bombed.
30:18Strategically,
30:19India has redefined
30:20the rules of engagement.
30:22A bankrupt state
30:23that once poured billions
30:25into nuclear capability
30:26post-1971
30:28is now compelled
30:29to divert
30:30its dwindling reserves
30:32towards air defense.
30:34The fear
30:34that India has struck
30:35with ghuz ke maaring
30:37in narrative
30:37will haunt Pakistan
30:39for decades to come.
30:41With Sandeep Unnithan,
30:43Bureau Report,
30:44India Today.
30:47I want to bring in
30:49India Today's
30:49Sandeep Unnithan
30:50for a perspective on this.
30:52Sandeep,
30:52tell me this,
30:53I think of 1962
30:54here when the
30:55offensive power
30:56of the Indian Air Force
30:57wasn't really used
30:58to now the Indian Air Force
30:59in many ways
31:00leading the strike
31:01inside Pakistan.
31:02Can we say that
31:03this moment
31:04in India's military history
31:06stands unparalleled?
31:09Well,
31:09extremely strategically
31:11significant.
31:12This is the first time
31:13in independent India's history
31:15that such sustained
31:17air power operations
31:18have been launched
31:19in counter-terrorist missions.
31:22Operation Sindhu
31:23that was launched
31:24on the 6th of May
31:26was meant to target
31:28terrorist infrastructure
31:29in Pakistan.
31:30That initial operation
31:32resulted in the killing
31:34of a hundred terrorists
31:36and hitting of
31:36nine terror training camps,
31:39launch pads,
31:39headquarters
31:40all across Pakistan
31:41in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir
31:43and in Pakistan's
31:45Punjab province.
31:46The second phase
31:47of that operation
31:48resulted in damage
31:49and destruction
31:50of military targets
31:52inside Pakistan.
31:53That was,
31:54of course,
31:54in response
31:54to what Pakistan did
31:56after the first phase
31:57of the operation.
31:58and finally,
31:59the third phase
32:00of Operation Sindhu
32:01saw the Indian Air Force
32:02striking at targets
32:04inside Pakistan.
32:05Pakistan air bases,
32:07military installations,
32:08radar sites,
32:10ammunition dumps,
32:11command and control centers.
32:13Eleven locations
32:14were struck
32:14inside Pakistan.
32:15A very,
32:16very big strategic move
32:18by India
32:19the first time
32:20since 1947.
32:21Sandeep,
32:24there have been
32:24clearly a lot of questions
32:25you must have also seen
32:26circulating on social media.
32:28What goals has India
32:29achieved through
32:30Operation Sindhuur?
32:31You want to break it down
32:32for us on that?
32:35Well,
32:36India has killed
32:37many birds with one stone
32:39with Operation Sindhuur.
32:41The first is that
32:42it's indicated
32:43that Pakistan's
32:45low-cost option
32:47of using terrorism
32:48as an instrument
32:49of state policy
32:50against India
32:51is going to have
32:52very high costs.
32:54And as Pakistan
32:55looks at its smashed
32:56air bases
32:57and radar sites,
32:59they would look
33:00at this very seriously.
33:02The second message
33:03is that terrorism,
33:06terror infrastructure
33:06cannot continue
33:08to be hosted
33:09in Pakistan
33:10with the impunity
33:11that it has
33:12over the last few years.
33:14And finally,
33:15the third
33:16and the most important
33:17message
33:18coming out of
33:19Operation Sindhuur
33:20is that
33:20Pakistan has used
33:22nuclear weapons
33:24enabled terrorism
33:25against India.
33:26It has used
33:27nuclear weapons
33:28and its conventional
33:29military
33:30to shelter terrorism,
33:32the terrorist
33:33infrastructure.
33:34The Pakistan Air Force
33:35has launched
33:35strikes against India
33:37in response to
33:38India's strikes
33:39on terrorism.
33:40India,
33:40through Operation Sindhuur,
33:42has signaled
33:42that
33:43nuclear weapons
33:44enabled terrorism,
33:46sheltering terrorism
33:47with conventional
33:48weapons,
33:49is not going to work.
33:50India will be
33:51undeterred
33:52by the use
33:53of either
33:53nuclear weapons
33:54or conventional
33:55weapons to protect
33:56terrorist infrastructure.
33:57It will strike
33:58a terrorist
33:59wherever they are
34:00located inside Pakistan.
34:02I do have
34:02one more question,
34:03Sandeep.
34:04Can we say that
34:04this Operation Sindhuur
34:06has also redefined
34:07how India can respond
34:08as and when required
34:09in moments like this?
34:11Is it a new war
34:11doctrine,
34:12so to say?
34:14Well,
34:15in some senses,
34:16Operation Sindhuur
34:17has redefined
34:18India's war doctrine.
34:21We have seen
34:22for the first time
34:23in that briefing
34:24on the 11th of May,
34:26the Tri-Services briefing,
34:28where the representatives,
34:29the DJMOs of the Army,
34:31the Navy,
34:32and the Air Force
34:32were all present
34:33on the same platform.
34:35All three services
34:36being used
34:37as part of Operation Sindhuur,
34:40a Tri-Services
34:41counter-terrorist operation
34:43where India has signaled
34:45its intent
34:46to strike at terrorism
34:48wherever it's located
34:49in Pakistan
34:49and it has indicated
34:51that it is not
34:52averse to using
34:54its military
34:55to target Pakistan
34:57and Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.
34:59This was,
35:00in the past,
35:01the fact that
35:03Pakistan used
35:04its military
35:05to protect terrorists
35:07was not known
35:08as clearly
35:08as it was
35:09in the aftermath
35:10of Operation Sindhuur.
35:12Now,
35:12the government of India
35:13has indicated
35:14through this
35:15very, very important signal
35:16that there is
35:18a slight shift
35:19in our doctrine.
35:21The three services
35:22will henceforth
35:23be used
35:23in such
35:24counter-terrorist operations,
35:26sending out
35:26a very big signal
35:27to the Pakistan military
35:28that,
35:29once again,
35:30you're sheltering terrorists
35:32and protecting them
35:33with conventional
35:33and nuclear weapons
35:34is not a low-cost option.
35:36It does not deter India
35:37from using its military
35:39to target those terrorists
35:41and terrorist infrastructure.
35:42Sandeep,
35:43thank you for your perspective
35:44and updates on that.
35:46And remember
35:46that the press conference
35:47that was done
35:48on Sunday,
35:49highlighting key achievements
35:50of Operation Sindhuur,
35:51put a lot of facts
35:53in public domain.
35:54Now,
35:54the top officials
35:55of the forces
35:55explained how India
35:56carried out
35:57precision strikes
35:58and at terror hubs
35:59deep inside Pakistan.
36:01These were terror training
36:03camps,
36:03launch pads,
36:04especially in
36:05Bahawalpur
36:06and Murid Cape.
36:07They were the pivotal targets
36:08and hit by India.
36:09It was the Air Force
36:10executing precision
36:12strikes using
36:12air-to-surface
36:13guided ammunition
36:14to ensure
36:15effective engagement,
36:16but also,
36:17amid all of this,
36:18minimum collateral damage.
36:20Air Marshal
36:20A.K. Bharti
36:21showed these detailed
36:22missile images
36:22on your screen.
36:23These were impact videos
36:24at the Bahawalpur
36:26terror camp.
36:26The Indian Armed Forces
36:27underscoring that India
36:28eliminated high-value targets,
36:30for example,
36:31Yusuf Azhar,
36:32Abdulmalik Rao,
36:33and Mudassar Ahmed.
36:35Now,
36:35among them
36:36were,
36:37you must know,
36:38leading the hijack
36:39of the 1999
36:40IC 8.4
36:41and the
36:42Pulwama attack
36:43of 2019.
36:45Air Marshal
36:45Bharti
36:46elaborating how
36:46the Indian Armed Forces
36:47were confronted
36:48with a series
36:48of Pakistan drone attacks
36:50after Operation Sindhuur.
36:51It came in waves
36:52and over civilian areas
36:54in different parts
36:55of the border states.
36:57Military installations
36:58were also attempted
36:58to be targeted.
37:00It was our robust
37:01S-400 air defence system
37:03that ensured
37:03no damage
37:04was caused
37:05in our cities.
37:06Saving and protecting
37:07our civilians
37:08was the most important priority.
37:10And that is when
37:11Indian forces
37:12carried out
37:12a series of precision strikes
37:14at military facilities.
37:18And after the strike,
37:20this is what has
37:21happened.
37:22This radar
37:22has been taken out
37:23completely burnt.
37:25Next slide, please.
37:28The Tunia air defence radar
37:30which was taken out

37:33This is the radar site.
37:37A blown up
37:38photograph
37:39once again
37:41on a tower.
37:42Not very clear.
37:44But what you see
37:44very clearly
37:46is the after effect
37:48after we have stuck.
37:50The radar
37:50head has been
37:52completely decapitated.
37:57Arifwala
37:57air defence radar.
38:00In this complex
38:01you see how it looked
38:04before
38:04blown up
38:06image
38:07and
38:08after
38:09really blown up.
38:12Next.
38:12Now coming to
38:15Sargoda
38:15airfield.
38:17Remember
38:17this is
38:18one of their
38:19important airfields
38:20wherein they have
38:21a lot of assets
38:22F-16s
38:23other assets
38:24which they keep getting.
38:26Training institutes.
38:30And
38:31we have

38:33it is not

39:07So this is how
39:07it looked before
39:08and the same
39:09you see a big
39:11crater
39:11another crater
39:12here

39:29This was the
39:30chosen complex
39:30that we needed to
39:31we intended
39:32to strike
39:33and convey
39:34a message.
39:35Next slide
39:36please.
39:37This is how
39:38it looked before
39:39and this is
39:40how it looked
39:41after our
39:42strike.
39:45Next.
39:47Sakkar.
39:48We chose
39:49the radar
39:49site at
39:50Sakkar.
39:52This is the
39:53radar site
39:53and

40:15Next.
40:17Bolari airfield
40:18aircraft hangar
40:20this is how
40:22it looked
40:22before
40:22and this is
40:24how it
40:24looked after
40:25the precision
40:26strike.
40:27Next.
40:27Jakobabad
40:31aircraft hangar
40:34and this
40:35is how
40:35it looked
40:36after.
40:37But remember
40:38it is
40:38after all
40:39about two
40:40nuclear
40:40nations.
40:41Pakistan's
40:41nuke
40:42infra
40:42is it
40:43on the
40:43Indian
40:43radar.
40:45India

40:47in Pakistan
40:47it's where
40:48Sargoda
40:48is where
40:49the Pakistan

40:50depot
40:51has been.
40:52Pakistan

40:59The
41:00strategic
41:00division
41:00oversees
41:02Pakistan
41:03nuke.
41:03So these
41:03are the
41:04details
41:04that are
41:04coming in
41:05to help
41:05you understand
41:06precisely
41:07that at
41:07this
41:08juncture
41:08India
41:09has all
41:10the
41:10coordinates.
41:11Days
41:11after
41:12India's
41:12deep
41:12strikes
41:12in
41:13Pakistan
41:13especially
41:13the

41:26most
41:26powerful
41:26of the
41:26operation.
41:27While
41:28there
41:28were
41:28nine

41:29that
41:29were

41:31stood
41:31out.
41:31One
41:32for the
41:32location
41:33for the
41:33strategic
41:33impact
41:34and the
41:34symbolism.
41:35Now
41:36among
41:36the

45:56proving the cross-border launch targeting Jaish's headquarters in Bahawalpur.
46:04Despite claims of a high alert defence posture, Pakistan failed to intercept the missile.
46:18But of course it's all about the names.
46:20And remember the first strike in terror camps of Jaish-e-Mohommed in Bahawalpur, of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Mureedke, among others.
46:27The names that have surfaced, and not just with regard to our agencies, but visuals on your screen.
46:33Abu Jundal to Masood Sken, at least top five Lashkar and Jaish terrorists have been wiped out.
46:38Details in this report.
46:39A 25-minute multi-domain assault on nine terror camps in Pakistan and POK.
46:50Terror hotbeds reduced to rubble.
46:54Most wanted terrorists and terror pads destroyed by Indian forces in a precise strike.
47:01Exclusive information accessed by India Today reveals the elimination of over 100 terrorists on May 7.
47:09Among those killed in Operation Sindhur were five top operatives from Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohommed involved in planning and executing attacks against India.
47:21Sources say Indian forces neutralised Mudassar Khadiyan Khas, also known as Abu Jundal, an elite terrorist who was in charge of Marqas Taiba in Mureedke.
47:33Jundal received a guard of honour at his funeral from Pakistan Army.
47:37Among the attendees were a serving lieutenant general and IG of Punjab police.
47:42The prayer was led by U.S.-designated Lashkar terrorist Hafiz Abdul Rauf.
47:49Another key target eliminated was Jaish-e-Mohommed's Hafiz Muhammad Jameel, the eldest brother-in-law of Masood Azhar.
47:58Jameel was in charge of Marqas Subhanallah in Bahawalpur.
48:01He was involved in radical indoctrination and fundraising for J.E.M.
48:06Also killed was Muhammad Yusuf Azhar, known by several aliases including Ustadji and Muhammad Salim.
48:15A Jaish-e-Mohommed terrorist, Yusuf Azhar was brother-in-law of Masood Azhar.
48:20He was the weapons trainer for J.E.M.
48:22He was also suspected in the Kandahar IC-814 hijacking and linked to multiple terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.
48:31Another top Lashkar operative Khalid, alias Abu Aksha, was also confirmed dead.
48:37He had orchestrated multiple terror strikes in Jammu and Kashmir.
48:41Khalid was involved in weapons smuggling from Afghanistan.
48:44The fifth high-value target was Muhammad Hassan Khan, a next-generation Jaish leader.
48:53He was a son of Mufti Azgar Khan Kashmiri, an operational commander of the Jaish-e-Mohommed in Pakistan, occupied Kashmir.
49:01Hassan Khan coordinated terror operations in Jammu and Kashmir.
49:06Operation Sindur was not just retaliatory, but a show of India's resolve and capability in dismantling terror infrastructure.
49:15The operation followed the April 22nd terror attack in Pehelgaam that left 26 dead.
