00:05One day after two teenagers were arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of 18-year-old
00:09Caleb Quick, Clovis Police Chief Kurt Fleming is scheduled to provide a public update on the
00:14case Saturday morning at 10 a.m. The arrest stemmed from a shooting that occurred on the
00:19night of April 23 outside a McDonald's restaurant located at Willow and Knees Avenues.
00:24Surveillance footage captured a suspect dressed in black following Caleb Quick for approximately
00:2813 minutes before fatally shooting him outside the business.
00:33Following the incident, the investigation stalled for more than a week.
00:37However, progress was made when Clovis Police released surveillance images of a white Tesla
00:42believed to have been used as a getaway vehicle. A teenage girl scene in connection with the vehicle
00:47was initially detained but later released. On Friday, developments accelerated.
00:53Clovis Police arrested two 16-year-olds, identified as Cassie Michael and Byron Rangel,
00:59in connection with the homicide. Both have been formally charged.
