00:00Adela, let me ask you then, what do you make of this level of outrage?
00:04Do you think it's justified?
00:07I think the level of outrage is absolutely justified.
00:10And I do find it interesting how we're talking about how the media focusing on this
00:15is a ploy to get attention away from what's happening in Gaza when it was itself a media stunt.
00:21The goal was publicity.
00:23If you ask why did he go on stage at Coachella in front of an audience of hundreds of thousands,
00:28not only in person, but we're talking about social media, we're talking about the mainstream
00:32media, and display those messages, it is because you're looking for publicity.
00:37So that was the goal.
00:38So we can't be upset with the media for doing exactly what the band intended to do with their
00:42messaging, which is blow it up as far as we can.
00:45In terms of policing, I think that something that's important of looking at here, it's
00:48not just that they were displaying messages against Israel.
00:51The messages said, up Hamas and up Hezbollah.
00:53And those are two very different things than just saying, you know, down with a specific
00:59government.
01:00If you're saying up Hamas, up Hezbollah, recognize terrorist organizations, and not only
01:04terrorists when it comes to the Israeli context, if you ask any citizen of Lebanon whether or
01:08not Hezbollah is a terrorist organization, you'll find that the overwhelming majority would
01:12agree.
01:12So when you're glorifying terror acts, and then you're upset that people are looking at
01:17you for glorifying terror acts in a media optic, then yes, of course, the outrage is justified.
