Rob Deering, Katya Jones, Jayne Middlemiss, Phil Tufnell

Series 6, Week 2, Day 5

Every day this week, celebrity contestants Rob Deering, Katya Jones, Jayne Middlemiss and Phil Tufnell take on a series of quiz rounds selected by the host, quiz legend Richard Osman.

A daily winner is declared following a quickfire round at the end of each show, and the scores are tallied across the week, resulting in an overall champion being crowned on Friday.

Will the winning stars opt for the much-coveted House of Games decanter, or will they be tempted with the House of Games fondue set?

00:00Hello, everybody. It's Friday.
00:11That means it's time for the final of House of Games.
00:14Listen to the joy in the studio.
00:17At the end of today's show, somebody, probably Rob Dearing,
00:21but you never know, somebody is going home with this trophy right here.
00:27Shall we meet our players for the final time this week?
00:30They are Jane Middlemiss. Hello.
00:33Katja Jones. Bill Tufnel.
00:37There he has been a long week, Bill, hasn't he?
00:39And Rob Dearing.
00:42Rob, three wins out of four.
00:45Two prizes you gave your pasta maker away yesterday to either Katja or Jane.
00:49They wanted it.
00:50There's only one thing you really want to take home this week, though,
00:52and that's the trophy, right?
00:53Yeah, well, that would be nice.
00:54Be all right, wouldn't it?
00:55It's been nice, we kind of played together nicely as a team,
00:57but, you know, it's trophy time now.
00:58Until today, my friend.
00:59Until today.
01:00Phil.
01:01Yes.
01:02Phil, a win on Wednesday.
01:03Shall we take a look at the weekly leaderboards?
01:04Let's do it.
01:05So you're four points behind, Rob, but it is double points Friday today.
01:08Yeah.
01:09There are eight points for a win.
01:10Yeah.
01:11Six for second and four for third.
01:12And that would look very good.
01:14Wouldn't it, Jess?
01:16Six.
01:17I think it would be lovely after your long career...
01:18Yes.
01:19..for you to finally have a trophy.
01:20Yes.
01:21Pride and play.
01:22That would be nice, wouldn't it?
01:23Sorry.
01:24Katja, second place yesterday.
01:25I was very happy.
01:27Not bad going.
01:28Can you go one better?
01:29I certainly can.
01:30Let's do it.
01:31Let's do it.
01:32Jane, can you win a day?
01:34Oh, it would be lovely, wouldn't it?
01:36If you did win today, should we take a look at the prizes?
01:38Yes, please.
01:39OK, you would take home one of these.
01:42Oh!
01:43There is the cushion.
01:45There's the deck chair, the bread bin.
01:47There's the gentleman's cologne.
01:49And there are the book ends.
01:51Which would you take?
01:52Bread bin.
01:53Bread bin.
01:54Katja?
01:55I think I need the book ends to read more books.
01:58Book ends.
01:59OK, Phil?
02:00Cologne, of course.
02:02Of course.
02:03What does that smell of?
02:04Well...
02:06And Rob?
02:08Yeah, I like the look of that bread bin, but I'm thinking cushion.
02:11Cushion.
02:12It's good to cushion.
02:13Shall we get on and quiz for the final time?
02:15Yep.
02:16Our first round is...
02:21Hidden in Plain Sight.
02:22I'm going to read you each a question.
02:25And inside that question is the answer to the question.
02:28And the answers to the first round of questions are all...
02:32invertebrates.
02:33So I'll read you a question.
02:34Somewhere inside that question, the actual answer will be written, Jane.
02:37So here's yours.
02:38My posh aunt enjoys terribly fancy starters, such as this bivalve shellfish,
02:44which she necks in one go.
02:48OK, so...
02:51Is it oyster?
02:53Is it oyster?
02:54And where is oyster?
02:55Enjoys terribly.
02:56Enjoys terribly.
02:57Oyster?
02:58Yes.
02:59Very good.
03:00Catcher, one for you now.
03:01OK.
03:02The chowder I prepare with this edible mollusk always receives great acclamation.
03:15Clam.
03:16And where is that?
03:17An acclamation.
03:18Well done.
03:19Absolutely right.
03:20It is.
03:21I can find some.
03:22Clam.
03:23Well played, Catcher.
03:24Fluffers.
03:25Yes.
03:26An invertebrate for you.
03:27Ooh.
03:28OK, hidden away.
03:29This porous creature is something I clasp on gently in the bath.
03:34Right.
03:35So that would be sponge, which is clasp on gently.
03:39Clasp on gently.
03:40Well done.
03:41Very good.
03:42Spong.
03:43Must be played.
03:44And Rob.
03:45To get four out of four.
03:46Mmm.
03:47Which invertebrate have we hidden away here?
03:49These wasps have a reputation for being aggressive and would probably hate to be trapped.
03:55They must abhor nets.
03:57I've got that.
03:59Hornets.
04:00Sometimes they're easier than others.
04:02Oh, God!
04:04They abhor nets.
04:05What are we looking for?
04:06Hornets is absolutely right, Rob.
04:08Well done.
04:09Jane, we go back to you.
04:10We have a new category.
04:11OK.
04:12I like this.
04:13European cities.
04:14We've hidden a European city in this question.
04:17OK.
04:18We've hidden a European city in this question.
04:19If you want to chat to locals outside the Reichstag, then remember lingo like
04:24Wieland Dank.
04:25Oh.
04:26OK.
04:27Whoa.
04:28Is it Vienna?
04:30It is not, I'm afraid.
04:33Oh, catcher.
04:35Berlin.
04:36Berlin, and where is it?
04:38Remember lingo.
04:39Remember lingo.
04:40Oh, yes!
04:41You're right.
04:42Well played catcher.
04:43Berlin.
04:44And catcher, it's your question now.
04:46While the Mona Lisa may make you weep, a risky tour of the catacombs is more likely to
04:53elicit a scream.
04:59Paris.
05:00Weep a risky.
05:01Weep a risky is absolutely right, catcher.
05:03Well played.
05:04Paris.
05:05Even the comma didn't put me off.
05:06No.
05:07That's a really good comma.
05:08Phil.
05:09Yeah.
05:10A European city for you.
05:11OK.
05:12Legend has it that this city's name is derived from a giant called Antigonus.
05:17But that could have been made up by some Belgian twerp.
05:20Oh, I got that.
05:23Oh, have you?
05:24European city.
05:26Oh, I've got one, yes.
05:28Antwerp.
05:29Again, some are easier than others.
05:31Yes, yes.
05:32I'm not even going to ask you where it is.
05:34Right at the end there.
05:35Belgian twerp.
05:36Antwerp.
05:37Well done, Phil.
05:38Belgian twerp.
05:39And final question in this round goes to Rob Dearing.
05:42A European city for you.
05:53Lisbon.
05:54Lisbon.
05:55Capital is Bonita.
05:56Capital is Bonita.
05:57Very cool.
05:58Well played, Rob.
05:59Well played, everybody.
06:00Lovely round.
06:01Let's take a look at our first leaderboard on our final day of the week.
06:05You'd love to see it.
06:08Our early leader is Catcher Jones with three points.
06:11Come on.
06:12Well played, Catcher.
06:13Jane with one.
06:14Phil and Rob two each.
06:15Catcher there in the lead.
06:16Well played, Catcher.
06:18Shall we play our final pairs game of the week?
06:20Yes.
06:21OK.
06:22It's going to be...
06:26Password, one, two, three.
06:28It's really hard, this one is.
06:30Jane, you get to choose a partner.
06:32Who would you like to play with?
06:33Rob.
06:34I think with Rob.
06:36So, Jane and Phil, if you'll swap places, please.
06:39Yes.
06:42Phil and Catcher.
06:44You are a team.
06:45Jane and Rob are a team as well.
06:47Phil and Catcher.
06:48The first thing I'm going to do is show you the name of four celebrities.
06:50And essentially you're going to be guessing the internet password
06:52of one of these people.
06:54Who would you like?
06:55Have we got Ringo Starr, Eddie Murphy, Jennifer Lopez or Zoe Ball?
06:59Do you know anything about Zoe Ball?
07:01Well, a little bit.
07:03Between both of us.
07:05Go on then, you were confident there, Kat.
07:06No?
07:07Yeah, no, go on, you went straight in.
07:08Let's go with Zoe Ball.
07:09At least we know her in pass.
07:10Part of the Strictly family?
07:11Yes.
07:12Now, you're going to guess Zoe Ball's internet password
07:14by guessing the answers to her two security questions.
07:17Right.
07:18Which are...
07:21Your son shares his name with which character from Toy Story?
07:25And...
07:27In what place did you finish when you took part in Strictly Come Dancing in 2005?
07:31So, if you combine those two answers, you'll get her password.
07:33You will have three attempts to guess her password.
07:36Didn't she win?
07:37Or she came second?
07:39OK.
07:40I think she won.
07:41I think she won.
07:42So, you'll say one.
07:43And so, you want a character from Toy Story.
07:45Number.
07:47What's the bloke with the hat on called in...
07:51What is the bloke with the hat called?
07:52Tom Hanks spoke...
07:54The little cowboy.
07:55Yeah.
07:56Billy.
07:57Tommy.
07:58No.
07:59Well, the only one I can remember is Buzz Lightyear.
08:01No, no, no, no, no.
08:02Her son shares the name with the character from Toy Story.
08:05She's not going to have a son called Buzz Lightyear.
08:07No, that's what I mean.
08:08Buzz Lightyear.
08:09I think it's...
08:10It might be Buzz One.
08:11No, her name, his name is...
08:12Yeah.
08:13Shall we go with Buzz One for now?
08:15Yeah, let's go with Buzz One.
08:16No, let's go...
08:17Well, could you get three chances?
08:18Yeah, let's go with Buzz One.
08:19Oh, OK.
08:20OK, let's take a look.
08:21At least we know which part is right.
08:22Is Zoe Ball's password Buzz One?
08:26It is not, and you have neither part correct.
08:28Oh, so she must be second.
08:30Neither part correct.
08:31What is the bloke's name, the geyser's name?
08:35People will be screaming at me over the tail.
08:38It's W, no?
08:39Willy!
08:40No, it's not Willy.
08:41Yeah, it's something like that.
08:43Is it Willy?
08:44Will, Will.
08:45Willy.
08:46Shall we go Willy second?
08:47Let's go Willy two.
08:48Willy second.
08:49Willy second?
08:50Let's take a look.
08:51Is it Willy second?
08:52Oh, God.
08:53It is not, you have neither part correct.
08:55Oh, wow.
08:56You have one more guess.
08:57What?
08:58Guess where she finished and the name...
09:00Oh, I've got it!
09:01I've got it!
09:02Come on then!
09:03I've got it, it's Woody!
09:04Woody!
09:05Woody!
09:06Woody Ball!
09:07Yes, it's Woody!
09:08Oh!
09:09But where did they come?
09:10Woody three?
09:11Woody...
09:12I don't know.
09:13Four or five?
09:14Go on then, you decide.
09:16Fourth.
09:17OK, Woody fourth, you're saying.
09:19Come on.
09:20Is the answer Woody fourth?
09:22Oh!
09:23After all the...
09:24It is not.
09:25Let's take a look at the answer.
09:27Don't tell me it's fifth.
09:28Fifth.
09:29Three.
09:30Woody third.
09:31Jane said that about eight hours ago.
09:33Did you?
09:34Did you?
09:35That's the true Strictly fan, I guess.
09:38Woody third.
09:39I know Zoe.
09:40Very well done.
09:41I know where she came.
09:42Jane and Rob, you've seen how to play this round.
09:45Whose password would you like to guess?
09:48Who would you go?
09:50I'd probably go...
09:51I think Ringo Starr, I feel like I know least about.
09:53Oh, really?
09:54I was going to go Ringo Starr.
09:55Who do you know?
09:57All of them are even.
09:58It doesn't matter.
09:59If you fancy Ringo, let's do it.
10:00You're going to go with Ringo Starr?
10:02Yeah.
10:03Ringo Starr?
10:04OK, you've got to guess Ringo Starr's password,
10:06and here are the two password hints.
10:10What colour is in the title of the song,
10:14released as the double A side with Eleanor Rigby in 1966?
10:18And what number does Thomas the Tank Engine
10:21have painted on his side?
10:23Well, I think that the double A side is going to be
10:26a yellow submarine.
10:27So it's yellow.
10:28OK.
10:29And I think...
10:31Come on, you don't...
10:32Thomas is one, isn't he?
10:33No, he's not number one.
10:35Maybe he's one.
10:36For a minute, I thought he was three,
10:38but I think that's James.
10:39I think he's five.
10:40James is the red one.
10:41Yeah, you're right.
10:42I think he is...
10:43No, I thought James was five.
10:44There are different...
10:45No, I think it's the other way around.
10:46Yellow five?
10:47Yeah.
10:48Yellow five.
10:49Yellow five, you can go four.
10:50Yellow five, what do you think at home?
10:51Agree, disagree?
10:52Let's take a look.
10:53First attempt.
10:54Is that Ringo Starr's password?
10:56Ooh!
10:57Not.
10:58You have got one part correct, though.
11:00Yeah.
11:01I think I know Thomas' number.
11:03Do you?
11:04I think it's yellow.
11:05You're cocky now, but it's not your turn.
11:08Yeah.
11:09Try yellow three.
11:10Yellow three, you're going to say.
11:12Yellow three.
11:13Let's take a look.
11:14Is yellow three Ringo Starr's password?
11:17Oh!
11:18It is not.
11:19You still have one part correct, though.
11:21Who's got a one, then?
11:22Is it not one?
11:23What do we have?
11:24Five and three?
11:25You want to go yellow one or yellow two?
11:26It's your final choice.
11:27What should we choose?
11:28It's only a game.
11:29Yellow two.
11:30So, you're going to go with...
11:31How could...
11:32Yellow one.
11:33Oh, you just changed it.
11:34Yellow one.
11:35Yellow one, you're going with?
11:36What do you think at home?
11:37Agree or disagree?
11:38Is yellow one Ringo Starr's password?
11:40It is yellow.
11:43Oh!
11:44I can't believe it.
11:45He's going to take off.
11:46Your instincts are good.
11:47That's exciting.
11:48Catcher, Phil.
11:49Yeah.
11:50Who would you like to go with now?
11:51Eddie Murphy or Jennifer Lopez?
11:52What are you after there?
11:53Jennifer Lopez.
11:54J-Lo?
11:55Yeah, come on.
11:56J-Lo.
11:57And her two password hints are...
11:58Which type of snake shares its name with the 1997 horror film that you starred in alongside Ice Cube and Jon Voight?
12:09And what are the last two digits of the year in which you had your first UK Top 10 single?
12:14That's really hard.
12:15What is the name?
12:16What type of snake?
12:17Python.
12:18Or a cobra.
12:19Do you remember a horror movie?
12:21An adder.
12:22It's terrifying.
12:25It's an adder.
12:26A bit gross.
12:27Oh, yes.
12:28Or the last digits of the year in which you had your first UK Top 10.
12:33Go on, then.
12:34So when would Jennifer have had a...
12:36We don't know, do we?
12:37She's 50 now.
12:38Is she?
12:39Yeah.
12:40Wow.
12:41What, J-Lo?
12:42J-Lo, that's right.
12:43Wow.
12:44And she would have been in her, like, 20s, right?
12:47Well, let's go.
12:49Cobra, 95.
12:51Yeah.
12:5293.
12:53So we'll say Cobra 93, is that Jennifer Lopez's password?
12:56No.
12:57No.
12:58It is not neither part is correct.
13:01Well, funny.
13:02I thought Cobra, I thought that was a good question.
13:04Let's go Python.
13:05Python 95.
13:06Yeah, go on.
13:08Python 95?
13:09Python 95.
13:10OK, let's have a look.
13:11Is Jennifer Lopez's password Python 95?
13:1491.
13:15It is not neither part correct.
13:18Ooh, give me other snakes.
13:20Might be Viper.
13:22Is that a movie called that?
13:24I don't know.
13:25I'm not big on horror films.
13:26They scare me.
13:27What do you think at home?
13:28Do you know this one?
13:29Think of a year where she might have done.
13:31We go Viper.
13:32Pull one out, Katya.
13:3491.
13:35Go on, then.
13:36Viper 91.
13:37We're going to say, what do you think at home?
13:39Agree, disagree.
13:40Is Jennifer Lopez's password Viper 91?
13:42It's a good one.
13:44It is not, I'm afraid.
13:46Can we try?
13:47And we haven't got either part.
13:48You can try.
13:49There's not a point, but you can try.
13:50We think it's anaconda.
13:51Anaconda 99.
13:52Anaconda 99.
13:53Anaconda 99.
13:54Anaconda 99.
13:55Anaconda 99.
13:56Interesting.
13:57Anaconda 99.
13:58Let's take a look.
13:59Oh!
14:00Yay!
14:01Very good.
14:02Well done.
14:03Nice.
14:04Anaconda.
14:05That seems a terrible shame you don't get a point for it.
14:07There it is.
14:08Anaconda.
14:09Anaconda 99.
14:10And the final question in this round goes to you, Jane and Rob.
14:14Eddie Murphy.
14:15And here are the two password hints.
14:20What animal did you voice in the Shrek films?
14:24And in which borough of New York City were you born?
14:27Oh!
14:28It's easy.
14:29Well, it's donkey something.
14:31I think we're talking Bronx, Brooklyn, Staten Island, Manhattan.
14:35Shoulda, woulda.
14:36And what's the other one?
14:37Bronx.
14:38Bronx?
14:39It's a great password.
14:40Donkey Bronx.
14:41Donkey Bronx is good.
14:42Donkey Bronx is fun to say.
14:43Yeah!
14:44Let's try it.
14:45Donkey Bronx!
14:46Donkey Bronx.
14:47How lovely to say donkey.
14:48Yes.
14:49Lovely.
14:50What do you think at home?
14:51Do you agree?
