Im Sportdrama Spiel der Könige (OT: The Long Game) tun sich im Jahr 1955 fünf junge mexikanisch-amerikanische Caddies zusammen, um ihre Liebe zum Gold auszuleben, dem sie sonst nur als Angestellte beiwohnen dürfen. Gemeinsam bauen sie ihren eigenen Golfplatz auf. Ihre Ausrüstung ist veraltet, ihre Ausbildung alles andere als professionell.
