Kosovo President Dr Vjosa Osmani Sadriu arrived in Malaysia on Thursday (May 1) for a four-day official visit, marking her first visit to the country since assuming office on April 4, 2021.

00:00Kosovo President Dr. Vyosa Osmani Sadriu arrived in Malaysia on Thursday for a four-day official visit,
00:07her first since assuming office on April 4, 2021.
00:12Osmani landed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, KLIA Terminal 1, on a commercial flight
00:18and was warmly welcomed at the Bunga Raya complex at 5.25 p.m. by Education Minister Fadlina Siddik.
00:25She then inspected a guard of honour comprising 28 officers and personnel
00:31from the 1st Battalion of the Royal Ranger Regiment, led by Captain Muhammad Nafis Norsid.
00:38According to Visma Putra, an official welcoming ceremony will be held at the Perdana Putra complex on Friday,
00:44followed by a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Datuk Shri Anwar Ibrahim.
00:49The discussions are expected to focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation in key sectors.
00:55including trade, investment, education and people-to-people ties.
01:01Both leaders are expected to also exchange views on regional and international matters of mutual interest,
01:08including Malaysia's chairmanship of ASEAN this year.
01:12Malaysia was among the first Asian countries to recognise Kosovo, doing so on October 30, 2008.
01:19Formal diplomatic relations were established on March 18, 2011.
