Breaking a 200-year-old tradition, Mahant Premdas stepped out of Hanuman Garhi for the first time in a royal procession to visit the Ayodhya Ram Temple.

00:00Breaking the centuries-old tradition, 70-year-old Mahant Premdas of Hanuman Gadi stepped out
00:07for the first time in a grand spiritual procession on 30 April 2025.
00:12Mahant Premdas led the procession by carrying the Akhada flag from Hanuman Gadi to the Ram Mandir.
00:16He arrived at Saryo Ghat with the mark of Hanuman Gadi, took a holy dip in the river and anointed it with milk.
00:38After completing the rituals with an 11-metre long chunnery,
00:41the grand procession proceeded toward the Ram Temple complex via Rampant.
00:44The constitution of Hanuman Gadi states that the Gadi Nashin, the chief priest,
00:48should never leave the 52 biga premises of the Gadi.
00:52However, Mahant Premdas said Lord Hanuman appeared in his dreams, urging him to visit the Ram Temple.
00:56The Nirwani Akhada Panchayat agreed, seeing it as a divine command.
01:00This step of Hanuman Gadi's Gaddin-Shin Premdas Ji Maharaj is proving to give a new dimension to the religious traditions of Ayodhya.
