00:00Government's Kadiwa stores have been a godsend to consumers seeking to stretch every peso in the food budget.

00:07And the number of stores continue to grow in the megacity, with the Department of Agriculture putting them on a short leash to ensure they keep their prices low.

00:15PTV correspondent Noel Talacay dwells on the locations of Kadiwa stores and the prices of a number of food items in this report.

00:22The Department of Agriculture, DA, continues to provide affordable basic commodities through Kadiwa ng Pangulo.

00:32In Quezon City, the Kadiwa ng Pangulo is located at the ADC Kadiwa Central Office of DA along Electrical Road.

00:40In Paranaque City, it is located at the Petron Gasoline Station of Barangay San Antonio, Area 6 Covered Court, 4th State Covered Court, and Bricktown Subdivision Covered Court Galaxy Street, Barangay Moonwalk.

00:55In Valenzuela, AMBA, MPC Housing, La Mesa Street, Barangay Ugong.

01:02In the City of Manila, at the Kadiwa Center of Bureau of Plant and Industry, San Andres Malate, and on General Solano Street of San Miguel along Department of Budget and Management.

01:14In Malabon City, Kadiwa Center, PFCC 812 on Portero, the Kadiwa na Pangulo starts its operation at 8 o'clock in the morning and it is open until supplies last.

01:29Meanwhile, the Agriculture Department also continues its price monitoring to all basic commodities being sold in the region.

01:36For imported commercial rice, regular to special milled rice, prices ranges from P40 to P60 per kilo.

01:45Local commercial rice, P33 to P65 per kilo.

01:49And the Kadiwa rice for all offers, P35 per kilo.

01:54For fish like round scad or galunggong, P120 to P350 per kilo.

02:00P120 to P180 per kilo for tilapia.

02:04While milked fish is at P140 to P250 per kilo.

02:10The price of whole chicken ranges from P120 to P220 per kilo.

02:16While a kilo of pork fetches from P300 to P400 per kilo depending on the part and or cut.

02:25While the beef, P320 to P510 per kilo still depending on its part.

02:32For egg, P5.50 to P13 per piece depending on size.

02:38Here are the prices per kilo for onions, garlic, and chili.
