00:00Hello and welcome to What Would Your Kid Do?
00:04Have you ever wanted to know what your kids get up to when you're not looking?
00:08Oopsie, they love Richard's like the Dandy did it now.
00:12This is the show that finds out how well we really know our kids.
00:16Do you know who Donald Trump is?
00:19He's like, we need to build a wall.
00:23Is your child a rule breaker?
00:26Are you cheating?
00:27Or a little angel?
00:30I'm a bit in the middle.
00:31Can they decide between right and wrong?
00:34Take a cake.
00:36I don't think I'm allowed.
00:38Vanilla.
00:40And is it ever okay to cheat?
00:42I have never taken a lie.
00:45We've tested kids from across Britain in hidden camera experiments.
00:50Oopsie.
00:50So that tonight, we can test their parents.
00:55Speaks this.
00:56To find out how well they know their six-year-olds.
00:59Oh my...
01:00By asking one simple question.
01:02What would your kid do?
01:03Hello and welcome to What Would Your Kid Do?
01:12The show that asks how well we really know our kids.
01:16Tonight, we're joined by three families.
01:18The grown-ups will stay here with me in the studio, whilst their kids are transported to a school, rigged with hidden cameras.
01:26The children think they're taking part in regular classes.
01:29But actually, we are secretly testing them, so that we can publicly test their parents, by asking one very simple question.
01:36What would your kid do?
01:38It's like a reverse parents' evening, where we get to see how the grown-ups have done for once.
01:43Shall we meet tonight's families?
01:44Yeah!
01:44Please give a warm welcome to Madeline and her parents, Alyssa and Gareth, Jacob, and his parents, Adele and Mark and Sophie, with her parents, Nicola and David.
01:57Welcome, everyone.
02:01Hello, Madeline.
02:02How are you?
02:03Good.
02:04And who are these two?
02:05Are these your flatmates?
02:06No!
02:07They're my parents!
02:08Oh, of course, of course.
02:09You just said it.
02:10I did say it, to be fair.
02:11I met my matches.
02:12Mum and Dad, you've just come on this show, so there's a chaperone to look after for an hour, haven't you?
02:16Absolutely.
02:17And how well can you predict what Madeline will do or say?
02:20I'd like to say we do.
02:22Yeah.
02:23In reality, probably not.
02:25OK.
02:26Jacob, hello.
02:27Hello.
02:28How are you?
02:29Good.
02:30OK.
02:31And who are these two people with us?
02:32Mark and Adele.
02:33Is that what you call them at home?
02:34No, I call them Mummy and Daddy.
02:36That's probably better, yeah.
02:37I like your outfit today.
02:39That's great.
02:40When I look at Dad there, is that who you look for for your fashion inspiration?
02:43Harry Potter.
02:44Harry Potter.
02:45I didn't know Dave Grohl was in Harry Potter.
02:48Well, we will look forward to learning more about you tonight.
02:52And we, of course, have Sophie as well.
02:53Hello, Sophie.
02:54Hello.
02:55Hello.
02:56How are you?
02:57Good.
02:58How are you?
02:59I'm well.
03:00Thank you very much for the first child that asked.
03:01By the way, Madeline Jane.
03:02And there, what does Daddy do?
03:05My Dad likes driving me in his car and my Mum is a manager.
03:09A manager?
03:10Of a football club?
03:11No.
03:12She wished.
03:13No.
03:14She wished.
03:15Daddy wished.
03:16Are you going to be able to predict what she's going to do and say?
03:19Probably not, no.
03:20I hope so.
03:21I hope so.
03:22I hope so.
03:23We want to win.
03:24Well, we're looking forward to getting to know you all this season.
03:30Oh, that is the school bell.
03:32It's time for school.
03:33Off we go.
03:34OK, Madeline, up you go to school.
03:47Jacob's going to school.
03:50Yeah, that's it.
03:53Lovely.
03:56Off you go to school, my love.
03:57Oh, how quiet it is.
04:09Oh, it's lovely that, isn't it?
04:11You miss them when they're gone, don't you?
04:13I mean, not for the first five hours, but, you know, a while after that.
04:16So, for our little ones, it's just another fun day at school.
04:20But for the grown-ups, this is when the pressure is on.
04:24Because it's not about whether the kids are good or bad or right and wrong.
04:28It's about how well you, as parents, can predict your little angels
04:32and how they'll react in various situations.
04:35You feeling confident?
04:36No.
04:38No-one is judging your parenting skills here.
04:44I mean, we're totally judging.
04:45But the stakes are high because whoever most accurately predicts their kids' behaviour
04:50will get to play for some amazing prizes at the end of the show.
04:54All right, we are about to join the kids to see how good they are at following rules.
05:00What could go wrong?
05:02Well done.
05:03Well done.
05:04Stay in the line, Dr. Carly.
05:07Blow the knees up.
05:09In class, the kids are playing hide the block,
05:11a game with some very clear rules to follow.
05:14You have to cover your eyes.
05:15You're not allowed to look, so no peeking from any of you.
05:19I'm not peeking.
05:20My eyes are completely closed.
05:23Do you always follow the rules, Jacob?
05:26Of course not.
05:27That's a silly question.
05:31You ready?
05:33No, not yet.
05:34Ready now?
05:36No!
05:37We have 20 walls in our house.
05:40No running down the stairs, no running upstairs.
05:43Don't shout to your little brother.
05:46Does it sound like a barrel of laughs?
05:48No, it's boring.
05:50He's looking.
05:52I see his eye.
05:53We've got a lot of rules, but we can't do.
05:57You're not allowed to cheat if you're, like, on a test.
06:02OK, are you done?
06:03Wait, see, look!
06:04He was looking!
06:06Around the age of six, kids start to question rules and push boundaries.
06:10Cover your eyes.
06:11Don't peek.
06:12In order to learn about the world around them.
06:19So, to see if our kids will follow the rules when they think no one is watching,
06:23the teacher has set up a test.
06:25Don't touch the boxes.
06:28This is a guessing game.
06:31The kids think they're playing a simple guessing game
06:34to win the prizes under each of the boxes.
06:36What would you like to be under these boxes?
06:40Toys.
06:43We'll start with the first box.
06:44It's a loud noise.
06:47Planes?
06:47I'll give you a clue.
06:52Football referees wear these around them.
06:54Whistle!
06:55Let's have a look.
07:01Cool.
07:01I've never had one of them.
07:03Shall we move on to the next box?
07:04Yes!
07:05Yeah, OK.
07:06It turns round and round.
07:08Clock.
07:09You're actually taking the storage out of my brain.
07:20Fidget spinner.
07:21Let's see.
07:23A blue fidget spinner.
07:24I do not have a blue fidget spinner.
07:27I've already got a green one.
07:30I thought green was your favourite colour.
07:31It is!
07:33The kids have done great so far,
07:35but now for the chance to win the main prize.
07:39So, there's something great inside this box.
07:43Are you going to give me a clue?
07:44Yeah, but before I do that,
07:46I've just got to go and get something.
07:49Just stay there.
07:51I won't be a minute.
07:53So when the kids are left alone in the room,
07:56can they follow the one clear rule they've been given?
08:01Don't peek.
08:03Yep.
08:09You're taking the storage out of my brain.
08:13I'm going to start using that at dinner parties.
08:15Anyone just talking at me?
08:17Now, we left the kids alone, like I said,
08:18for ten minutes in the classroom with a simple instruction.
08:21Just don't peek.
08:22But the golden question is,
08:24what would your kid do?
08:25So, Madeleine,
08:26I think she's going to peek.
08:28You think she's going to peek?
08:29Yeah.
08:29I think because she thinks nobody's there,
08:31it doesn't count.
08:33Ah, interesting, OK.
08:34Ten minutes is a long time,
08:35so I sit still.
08:36For Madeleine, it's a very long time to sit still.
08:38I don't know, it's still.
08:39What do we think about Jacob?
08:41Does he usually do what he's told?
08:42No.
08:43No, definitely, definitely peek, I think.
08:45We think he'll peek, I think.
08:46Yeah, because ten minutes is far too long.
08:48It is long.
08:48You think he'll have a lot?
08:49Yeah.
08:49OK.
08:50And what about Sophie?
08:52Oh, I think she might peek.
08:54You don't know.
08:55No.
08:55OK, we'll go with you.
08:56We're going to go with Dad.
08:57No.
08:58OK.
08:58So Sophie's parents,
09:00you're the only ones who think that your child will stick to the rules
09:02and not peek.
09:04Mm.
09:04Time to find out just how well you know your kids.
09:38Can't like pink?
09:48One...
10:06Three...
10:07Three...
10:08Four...
10:09They touched it, but it fell...
10:14I can't, no I'm not, I'm just going to leave it.
10:2533, 34, 35, 36, oh, I was just counting.
10:33Did you peak?
10:34No.
10:35No.
10:36They fell over!
10:38No, no.
10:44Wow.
10:46I tell you what, I have never related to someone on television more than Sophie right there.
10:52Well, unbelievably, not a single one of you correctly predicted that your kid would do.
10:59Madeline and Jacob's parents, you both thought that they'd peak and they didn't.
11:03And Sophie's parents, double whammy I'm afraid, you got it wrong, and she'd peak.
11:07But don't worry, apparently 80% of kids would also peak in that same scenario.
11:14And according to the experts, kids who frequently break the rules often go on to be big earners.
11:19So you may as well start planning your early retirement.
11:22At the end of that round, you're all still on zero.
11:26I'm not angry, I'm just disappointed.
11:29But don't worry, there is plenty of time to make amends after the break,
11:33as your cheeky monkeys will meet our clever monkey, Charlie.
11:37I know all the answers to the quiz. Would you like me to help you?
11:41But will they be tempted to cheat?
11:44Welcome back to What Would Your Kid Do, the show that's like opening Pandora's box,
11:57when Pandora was told not to look in the box while the teacher was out of the room.
12:00Next up, we're going to explore how readily our little angels will be tempted to cheat.
12:06Parents, you're starting to look a little bit worried now, after that first round.
12:11Let's join the kids at storytime.
12:13It's storytime in class, and our kids are learning all about a very clever monkey.
12:21Charlie the monkey was a very clever monkey.
12:25Charlie found homework really easy, so he would offer to do all of the children's schoolwork for them.
12:33Do you think what Charlie is doing is cheating?
12:36He really shouldn't help anyone, because they aren't really learning anything.
12:42I never cheat. Never, ever.
12:46If he knows how to work out the number problems or something,
12:50I'll just call Charlie, and then he'll come to me.
12:54What do you think of cheating, Jacob?
12:57That's a tricky one.
13:02So, to see if Madeline, Jacob and Sophie can be tempted to cheat,
13:06we're going to put them to the test with a general knowledge quiz.
13:10Every answer you get correct, you can choose a prize.
13:15Wow, that's cool.
13:17Yeah?
13:18Do you know what? Yes, I am going to fill this up,
13:20because it's not quite enough in there, in case you get them all right.
13:23So, just wait a minute in here for me.
13:27Some of my favourite toys are planes, not planes that are metal,
13:32planes that are plastic that don't break.
13:34Right, I'll see what I can find in the cupboard, okay?
13:38While the kids think they're being left to play alone,
13:41they're about to meet our very own clever monkey, Charlie.
13:50Psst!
13:53Hi?
13:54My name's Charlie. What's your name?
13:56Jacob J.
13:58Are you real?
14:00I'm a real toy monkey.
14:02Oh my, I've never met a real monkey.
14:06Careful for my feet, I'm ticklish.
14:08Okay.
14:11So, what are you doing today?
14:13Well, I was just going to do a quiz.
14:16I know all the answers to the quiz.
14:18Would you like me to help you?
14:19Yeah.
14:20I mean, it would be cheating, but the teacher will never know.
14:24No, never know.
14:26I know it's cheating, but...
14:28just...
14:30you can sneak and do it.
14:33How about...
14:34we come up with a plan so that you can win all the prizes?
14:38That would be wonderful.
14:40If you don't know the answer, you say,
14:42ooh, that's a tricky one.
14:45Okay.
14:46If the answer's yes, I'll do this.
14:49Okay.
14:50And if the answer's no, I'll do this.
14:54I know... I know what... I know what to do.
14:57I think the teacher's coming back.
14:59Quick, sit down.
15:00Shh!
15:01Don't you stop, Ty!
15:03Wait, what do I say?
15:04Oh, that's a tricky one.
15:06That's a tricky one.
15:07Bye.
15:09Bye.
15:10Bye.
15:11Whoo!
15:12Sit still.
15:15Right.
15:16First question.
15:17So, when it comes to the crunch,
15:19will our kids follow Charlie's lead
15:21and ask for some extra help?
15:26So, the quiz is about to start
15:28and there are some prizes up for grabs.
15:31For Jacob's sake, I do hope there are some toy planes in there.
15:34Not the metal ones, the plastic ones that don't break.
15:36But when the questions get tough,
15:38will they cheat and give the monkey the signal for help?
15:42It's time for the all-important question.
15:45What would your kid do?
15:47So, Madeline, will she ask for help?
15:49What do you think she would do?
15:51Oh, I don't know.
15:53I don't know.
15:54No, I'd like to think not.
15:55Okay, you think she'll stay honest?
15:57I think so.
15:58Okay.
15:59What do we think about Jacob?
16:00Would the temptation of the prize
16:02affect what he normally would do?
16:04He would, yeah, because he's really competitive
16:07and he's quite a bad loser.
16:09So, do you think he'll ask for help?
16:10I think so.
16:11Yes, I think he will.
16:12Yeah.
16:13And what about Sophie?
16:15Do you think she's the sort of girl
16:17who would ask for help?
16:19Yes.
16:20I think so.
16:21After the last round, yes.
16:22After one round, he's lost all faith.
16:23All right.
16:24Madeline's parents, you are the only ones who think that your child will resist the temptation
16:33to cheat, which is, she's very brave because she's never seen a real monkey before.
16:38Let's see if you're right.
16:40First question.
16:41Do chickens hatch from eggs, yes or no?
16:45Yes.
16:46Yes.
16:47Yes?
16:48Yes.
16:49Correct.
16:50Yes.
16:51Is a lion a herbivore, yes or no?
16:55No.
16:56It's a carnivore.
16:57It's a tricky one.
16:58No.
16:59No.
17:00Well done.
17:01Ooh, that's a tricky one.
17:02Okay.
17:03I'll read it one more time.
17:04No.
17:05It is.
17:06It is.
17:07Correct.
17:08A lion isn't a herbivore.
17:09No.
17:10No.
17:11No.
17:12Well done.
17:13Ooh, that's a tricky one.
17:14I'll read it one more time.
17:15It is.
17:16No.
17:17Correct.
17:18A lion isn't a herbivore.
17:19No.
17:20Does a cow have four stomachs?
17:21Yes or no?
17:22No.
17:23Oh.
17:24I mean, yes.
17:25No.
17:26No.
17:27No.
17:28No.
17:29No.
17:30No.
17:31No.
17:32No.
17:33No.
17:34No.
17:35No.
17:36No.
17:39No.
17:40Oh.
17:41I mean, yes.
17:42Ooh, that's a tricky one.
17:44It certainly is.
17:45Yes.
17:46Yes!
17:47Well done!
17:49Ooh, that one's a tricky one.
17:51Mm-hmm.
17:52It really is.
17:53Oh my gosh.
17:54Oh my gosh.
17:55Oh my gosh.
17:56Shall I read it again?
17:58Yes.
18:00Yes!
18:01Well done!
18:03Do you know what?
18:04You know what you did really well
18:09Surprises are in here for you to choose you one
18:17Does you know these look like on me? Yeah
18:19I
18:30Mean to be fair is quite the charismatic monkey as we saw all of the kids cheated at the game
18:36But at least that means a few of you have scored at some point Sophie and Jacob's parents
18:41Well, don't you both predicted that they would ask the monkey for help didn't come as any surprise
18:46to you then straight in there
18:48Madeline's parents
18:50Not only did you underestimate her ability to cheat and get away with it. She had an almost vaudeville
18:56Old-school delivery. Oh, that's a tricky
19:05So the scores so far Madeline's parents still on zero Jacob and Sophie's parents both on one point
19:12Next up we're going to be looking at risk-taking fair to say you brought your kids on national TV with no control over what they might say or do so clearly you guys enjoy a risk
19:25But do the little ones follow in their footsteps? Why don't we see?
19:34Allowing kids to take a risk when they're young I want you to build the tallest tower you can
19:40Working as a team means they'll be better at taking risks wisely when they're older
19:46Up the staircase
19:51Jacob would you ever take a risk like you risk your life don't think we need to go that far pal
19:57We can do it. I don't prefer to play it safe because I because I don't really like
20:05I don't think we're staying here
20:10Thank you guys
20:13So we set up a little game to test exactly how comfortable with risk our six-year-olds are
20:19This is the tower building challenge. What's the tallest tower you've ever seen?
20:24Empire State Building
20:26Wow, where is it?
20:30Probably in London somewhere
20:32The first part of the challenge is building the tower using just the pink block
20:38If you succeed without it falling over you will win this blue star
20:45The children think they're playing a simple building game
20:48But really we are testing them to see if they play it safe or are willing to take a risk
20:54Are you ready?
20:55Yeah
20:55Yeah
20:55Oh that's just easy
21:02Is it?
21:04Wow
21:05Very good Jacob there you go you won a blue star
21:10Yes well done
21:14Now you have a choice
21:16The kids could take a risk and continue building
21:19But if the tower falls they'll lose the sticker they've already won
21:28And any chance of winning the gold star prize
21:31What do you think? Do you want to continue building?
21:43Now the experts say that being young and having less experience of failure makes you more likely to take risks
21:49But what would your kid do?
21:51Madeline, what do you think? Will she risk it and carry on building?
21:55She does like a challenge
21:57I think she would
21:57I think she would
21:58I think she would
21:59Yeah
22:00Okay, Jacob will he be tempted for that giant gold star?
22:03I don't know he does like stickers doesn't he?
22:05Yeah, he does like stickers
22:07I think he possibly would maybe
22:09No, I don't think he will
22:10Uh oh
22:11Do you need to set this out in the car park?
22:12LAUGHTER
22:15Alright, I'll go with you
22:16No
22:16I don't think he will
22:17Yeah, you compromised there well done
22:18Yeah, yeah
22:20And what about Sophie?
22:21I don't think she'll risk it
22:22I've got to go with her
22:23Seems to be a trend
22:27So only Madeline's parents think she'll take the risk and play on
22:30Now I don't want to jinx it guys
22:32But as you're the only ones who haven't scored a point yet
22:34That does seem a bit risky to me
22:37Let's find out
22:40Do you want to continue building?
22:44You just get one chance
22:48What do you think?
22:54Of course
22:57Build it
23:00It's getting wobbly
23:01Come on, Madeline, you can do it
23:13Come on, Madeline, you can do it
23:21Fantastic job, Madeline, very good
23:25You won
23:30Yes
23:30Out
23:31Fantastic
23:41Gold stars all round
23:43Well for the kids that is, not the parents
23:45Jacob and Sophie's parents you didn't think that they would take the risk and they did
23:51So no points to you
23:52I'm learning
23:54That's quite
23:54Well, you're learning what your husband already knew
23:58Sorry, did I say that out loud?
24:01And what about Madeline's parents?
24:02She said that she'd risk it and she proved you right
24:06You're finally in the game
24:09And that means that you're all level pegging with one point each
24:12Time for a short break now, but when we return, it's feeding time at the zoo and not just for the animals
24:20Welcome back to what would your kid do?
24:34Now school is over for the day, but the challenges continue because Madeline, Jacob and Sophie also went on a day trip to the zoo
24:42And I volunteered to go along as well
24:44Let's have a look
24:45Okay guys welcome to london zoo home of 750 species of animals 753 obviously with you what here
25:0120 000 mouths to feed that's a lot of mouths isn't it imagine that every day
25:07They're so hungry
25:13To learn more about the animals and test how adventurous the kids are at trying new things come on then
25:20I'm going to serve up some of the animals foods
25:23This is the prep kitchen at the zoo i'm hungry are you hungry
25:27Yeah
25:29So how many foods will our little animals be brave enough to try
25:34I'm literally going to be sick
25:40So it's feeding time at the zoo but it's going to be your little monkeys who will be doing the eating
25:45We borrowed some flowers from the giant snails
25:48Raw fish from the penguins and crickets from the iguanas
25:52So which if any do you think they'll try and just to be clear licking it and putting it back does not count we're not at a harvester
26:03Madeline's parents what do you think i think maybe she'd try the flowers yeah
26:07That's not food
26:09In terms of the raw fish and the cricket no no okay what about jacob he has become very fussy recently right unless it's cheese flavored
26:17He will eat it i don't think he'd eat the raw fish or the cricket no i think you try the flower okay
26:23And what about sophie is she an adventurous eater at home or is she the same as others definitely not before she's even looked at something she'll say no
26:29That's the one that gets me that yeah
26:31And you know that they really like it i know
26:34But you don't think she'll try any of the things no okay okay
26:37So what we're saying is that jacob and madeline will only try the flowers and sophie won't try a single thing let's find out
26:47We've got some food for us the first thing that i'm going to show you
26:50This gets eaten by the giant snail okay why don't you take the lid off there it is
26:58flowers flowers which of course shouldn't be eaten at home
27:04Wow i'm gonna try this are you gonna try wow that's a quite a big one to start with
27:12What do you think guys not bad
27:17i just actually swallowed it did you
27:20i don't like it you've got a little bit of petal on your uh
27:23i really don't
27:24That's disgusting hey you all tried it all three of you tried it so well done well done
27:31right the next one

27:34our favorite animals the penguins
27:38this is raw fish i'll show you

27:41what's
27:42i'm literally gonna be sick i'm gonna take a bite okay go for it
27:46oh
27:48oh
27:50so
27:51okay next up i'm gonna show you what the iguanas eat are you ready
28:03okay
28:04okay
28:04is it good or bad well if you're an iguana really good
28:11ready they are crickets
28:13oh
28:14no
28:14no
28:15no
28:15no
28:15no
28:15no
28:15no
28:15no
28:16no
28:16i'm gonna say at this point it doesn't matter
28:18oh just ripped his leg off
28:20oh my god
28:22so grim
28:26oh here we go madeline
28:30i don't think that can count as trying it
28:34you can't jacob no
28:37okay sophie
28:47get your nice little one get your nice little one there you go look at that open your hand
28:50that one's bigger there you go here we go sophie sophie's turn
28:56bite it
28:57what it tastes like
29:00it's actually not that bad
29:03she ate the cricket
29:05you did eat a cricket high five well done
29:08i do crickets every day
29:11so we've tried some of the animals food i think it's time to go and feed some of the animals what do you think
29:17oh
29:20yeah
29:21let's go
29:22come on then
29:23i'll take your hand for so that you can
29:25yeah
29:25thank you i'll bring you a bit of snack
29:28thank you
29:34sophie even took some snacking crickets for the rest of the day
29:37speechless
29:39i can see well you said she'd try absolutely nothing and she was the only one
29:45to try everything it was amazing okay well no points for you guys
29:50jacob's parents do you got it spot on you only would try the flower and you got that right so all three
29:55points to you at one point i thought he was going to faint yeah
29:58it was very dramatic and madeline's parents are getting you the same and she did try the raw fish so two
30:05points for you pretty happy with that yeah yeah start introducing some raw fish
30:10well we've got just time to squeeze one more challenge in and this is a simple bravery test
30:16child versus beast fight to the death
30:19yeah i'm not only messing it's not ancient rome or channel five uh we wanted to see if the
30:24children were brave enough to hand feed the tallest animals in the zoo the mighty giraffe
30:31madeline's folks what do you think i'd love to do that so i think she'd love to do that all right
30:35well maybe you should bring your mum on the show next time
30:38i'll do it that way around so you think she'll do it all right okay jacob is he much of an animal
30:44lover yes yeah he likes animals doesn't he yeah he thinks they're quite cute even though they're huge
30:48think you'll do it yeah yeah okay okay so you think he'll feed it and sophie's parents
30:53i mean does it matter what you think anymore yeah very unpredictable yeah she will all saying
31:01that they will do i hope those giraffes are hungry
31:07what do you reckon is the tallest animal at the zoo
31:09wow let's go and say hello
31:12giraffe hello that's a big giraffe oh you are now tongs they're pretty important aren't they
31:20stick your tongs out let's have a look our tongs are four inches long a giraffe tongue 20 inches
31:3020 this long imagine that okay it's time for the breakfast so we're going to put food in our
31:36hands and then we're going to feed i don't really want to do that so you'll feel that tongue on your

32:26No.
32:27Okay, you come back round.
32:28How was that?
32:30Um, a bit scary.
32:32Okay, who wants to go next, Sophie or Jacob?
32:34No, not me.
32:35You?
32:36Okay, off you go, say hello to the zookeeper.
32:37Amy.
32:38Hello, Jacob.
32:39Hello, Amy.
32:40Do you want to grab a carrot and feed her?
32:42Yeah.
32:43Let go then.
32:44Oh, you do it.
32:47How about you try that one?
32:48Now just let go when she gives her tongue.
32:50Wait, see, you've done it.
32:51Yay!
32:52Do another one.
32:53Oh, it almost ripped me.
32:56Jacob, well done, pal.
32:57You come back round.
32:59Oh, I loved that!
33:03What do you think, Sophie?
33:04Do you think you want to feed a giraffe?

33:10Hi!
33:11You want to feed a giraffe?

33:14You want to feed a giraffe?
33:15You want to feed a giraffe?
33:16Oh, wow.
33:17Straight in.
33:18I think we've got a zookeeper.
33:20I think we've got a zookeeper.
33:21Have you felt the tongue on your hand?
33:22Is it all slimy?
33:23Did she just touch it?
33:24Did she just touch it?
33:25Did she just touch it?
33:26Right, you lot.
33:27Let's go and wash those hands.
33:28Wow.
33:29I've got to say that was an absolutely wonderful thing to do.
33:42Beautiful creatures.
33:43And the kids were fantastic.
33:44Now, Jacob's parents, you said that he would do it, so you do get a point.
33:48I mean, his hand was up straight away, wasn't it?
33:50Yeah.
33:51He loved it.
33:52Madeline's parents?
33:53Oh, she was the first one to put her hand up and then, I think, got there and thought,
33:56whoa.
33:57You said that she would try it, but unfortunately, at the last moment, she didn't, so no points
34:02to you, I'm afraid.
34:03And Sophie's parents, spot on, she did it and you said she would.
34:07Finally, the daughter that you know and love.
34:10Well, as you know, it's only the family who proves that they know their kid the best,
34:16who can play for the prizes at the end of the show.
34:19So let's reveal the final scores.
34:22Jacob's parents, well done.
34:24Five points.
34:26We've got our winning family.
34:29Shall we bring back out the stars of the show?
34:32Please welcome back, Madeline, Jacob and Sophie.
34:36Hello, Pickle.
34:41Well, guys, you've been absolutely brilliant.
34:44Madeline and Sophie, I'm afraid it's time to say goodbye.
34:47But nobody leaves this show empty-handed.
34:50You've won some vouchers to spend on whatever you like.
34:56But for Jacob and his parents, Adele and Mark, it is not over.
35:01They'll get to play for some big prizes after the break.
35:04But what they don't know is it'll be Jacob who gets to choose their prizes.
35:10Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
35:22Welcome back to the show that Ask Parents on national TV.
35:27What would your kid do?
35:28Your kid do and I'll be honest with you some of them haven't got the foggiest unlike you two of course
35:33Adele and mark who know their kid Jacob pretty well see you surprised to be here. Yes
35:40He's actually backstage now Jacob there. He is just playing with toys. We didn't even know that lit up before he played with it
35:47So here is how this game works
35:50I'm gonna ask Jacob three questions all you need to do is tell me how you think he'll respond
35:58Well, so far the more answers you match the more prizes you get very very simple that all make sense
36:04Yeah, yeah, all right. Here's your first question. Which one of these is the Queen? Is it a?
36:14Be the actual Queen or see
36:22What do you think yeah, I'd like to think you know something yeah, it's an easy one that one he's seen a fiver exactly
36:28Yeah, okay, let's get that in
36:32Next one which of these is a swashbuckling pirate is it a?
36:38Russell Brown
36:40Is it B?
36:41Boy George, or is it see?
36:44Johnny Depp
36:46Hasn't seen no yeah, but I think it's like the most yeah the pirate. Yeah, I'd say yeah
36:52Let's go with see Johnny Depp as
36:56Captain Jack Sparrow
36:58Okay, the final question which one of these is not a famous singer is it a?
37:06Adele B
37:08Diane Abbott
37:10Or is it see?
37:12Kate Bush so we've got two who've got lovely voices and one who likes the sound of her own yeah, yes
37:17I think you know this I think so yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Diane Abbott
37:24So mom and dad you've done all you can do we're gonna ask Jacob to come down
37:28I'm gonna ask him the same questions, so you're gonna head up there and we're gonna welcome Jacob back into the studio
37:32Yeah, yeah, yeah, you made some nice friends. Yeah mom and dad are there. Let's have a little look hello
37:48Now I'm gonna ask you three questions Jacob. Okay very simple. There's no right or wrong answer for you. Don't worry about it
37:55It's more about whether your mom and dad and match it up. I'm gonna be perfect. You're gonna be perfect
38:01The more matches that you get the more prizes that you get to take home
38:06Do you like prizes? Oh, yeah, I love prizes
38:09Okay, are you ready for your questions? Let's turn you around so you can see
38:12Here we go question number one is which one of these is the Queen a
38:17B or C B I've definitely seen B. Where have you seen B?
38:22um, on telly on
38:24My Rembrandt Day, I don't know
38:26Rembrandt Day of course of course good lad. Okay, and I can tell you that is the actual Queen. Yes, you did very well there
38:35Yes, I know
38:36I know you know
38:38I know you know
38:40I have to tell the world that you know
38:42You can tell the Queen. I will tell the Queen. I'm sure she's watching at home. Oh, I'm glad he knows who I am
38:46That's so well done. The question is though will your mom and dad think you know who it is?
38:53Yes
38:53Yeah, what they did so well done. That is the correct answer
39:01Let's see if we can win you some more. Okay. Oh, yeah
39:05Second question which one of these is a swashbuckling pirate
39:10See straight in as well. It's because I know the film. I've seen it before. Oh, yeah
39:21Why are we even messing around let's get on with it
39:28Did your parents know that you get that yeah, yeah reckon well you'd be right that's two prizes coming your way my friend
39:40Yes, all right third one for all three prizes which one of these is not a famous singer
39:48Should we have a talk through them? Yeah. Yeah, okay
39:51So a what do you think of a she looked like a singer? Well a bit a bit. What about B?
39:57What do you think to be she doesn't look like a singer? What do you think she looks like? She looks like she's just a learner
40:05What do you think she's learning and is she learning fast enough?
40:10So which one do you think it is out of the three that's not the singer the middle one be the middle one be it is
40:17The correct answer what did your parents think that you knew it was B?
40:22You don't know they did think you'd get B. So that's three prizes
40:32No exactly what those prizes are is all up to you. So are you ready for your first choice?
40:40Oh

40:44Prize number one
40:47Some premium bonds
40:49Oh

40:53Some magic ones
40:55Now
40:57Jacob before you make a decision do you know much about premium bonds?
41:01I don't know what that is. Okay. Well, let me tell you there are savings products very popular especially with the interest rates being so low
41:09Have you thought about your future? Have you got a pension?
41:11Magic one
41:12Okay, magic one
41:15So do you want that one? Yes. Okay, you're gonna have the magic set. Okay, that is your first choice
41:21Well done Jacob. Good choice now, but I think you're gonna regret that in about 70 years time
