00:00So the Seeds of Sunflower project came about when a local resident messaged me and said to me about there not being much support for mental health and well-being in the community, particularly if you've just had, you know, a particularly bad mental health episode.
00:13So I myself have got bipolar and have experience with that myself and I totally agreed and we decided to set up, I used my CLF funding to set up Seeds of Sunflower mental health and well-being support sessions.
00:28They're on a Tuesdays from 7 to 8 at the Hurlington Centre so it covers both automobile and automobile ward but we also welcome people from across the city.
00:36We have an hour session where we talk about a number of things including medication, holistic therapies and we've now set up a programme of events and with some leaflets to advertise it with different speakers from April all the way through until September.
00:51So we welcome anyone that, we welcome anyone actually that either knows a friend or family member or maybe is just really interested in well-being, connecting with other people in their community and just interested in making friends but we open it up to everyone.
01:06So far some people that have come to the sessions have themselves mental health issues that they've talked through, sometimes it's family members but actually we have a well-being element that also links to, particularly with some of the speakers, that links to how you can be well without having to have a mental health issue as well.
01:25So it could be a variety of people really.
01:28Is there a website or a phone number or how can people find out a bit more about what's going on, when's it happening?
01:34So on the leaflets people can contact me on my phone number or on my council email to find out a bit more.
01:40I'm welcome to drop the programme of event leaflets off to people, to their houses and anyone from Peterborough can come along to these sessions.
