00:00This, I think, is a pretty cool idea.
00:03This one's going to be good.
00:04You know, we had yesterday a friend from hers stop in and they brought the mix.
00:08Loved it.
00:08Brand, which, you know, put like salt and vinegar and barbecue chips together.
00:12Three new brands.
00:13There are cereal options in this way.
00:17New Kellogg's Mashup Cereal is hitting store shelves and everybody's going to want to buy an extra box.
00:23It's a limited edition cereal that combines two favorite iconic brands into one tasty treat.
00:29So, the Kellogg's Mashup Cereal puts Frosted Flakes and Froot Loops into one box.
00:36Not enough sugar for me.
00:40You can add sugar to it.
00:42No, it's...
00:44We used to add sugar to Frosted Flakes to already sugary cereals.
00:49Oh, my God, yes.
00:50Hey, I see, you know, I see these things on like Instagram and stuff all the time and I can't remember how the video ended.
00:56So, maybe you guys can refresh my memory.
00:58Maybe you saw this as well.
01:00Somebody was taking cereal and they put it in one of those food processes.
01:03So, here it is.
01:04Okay.
01:04Oh.
01:05That story right here.
01:05Parents are getting creative when it comes to occupying their children.
01:10There's a woman on TikTok that shared how she makes edible sand for her kids.
01:14That's it.
01:15By grinding up Cheerios in a blender.
01:18Edible sand.
01:18I got you, bro.
01:19Yeah.
01:20Thank you, man.
01:20And though it's a method of making sensory play sand that's been online for years, a lot of parents apparently did not know about it before this particular post.
01:31Many commented that it's the perfect solution if they had a child that is too young to understand that they should not eat sand.
01:38And the post also inspired other moms to share videos of how they make the Cheerios sand and give their kids chicken items, kitchen items to play with.
01:53Chicken items.
01:54Wait a second.
01:55What was that?
01:56You're telling me that sand is made from chickens?
01:58No.
02:00What were you supposed to say?
02:02Kitchen.
02:02Kitchen.
02:03Chicken.
02:03Oh, that's like Girl Interrupted.
02:06She had an eat-in chicken.
02:08Do you remember that?
02:09Eat-in chicken.
02:10Brittany Murphy's character.
02:11She was stashed chicken.
02:12She was stashed chicken bones under her bed.
02:15And she kept calling her kitchen an eat-in chicken.
02:18Oh, really?
02:18Yes.
02:19No, I didn't catch that.
02:19I don't remember much from that movie, but those are the two things that I remember.
02:22But, Steve, you know what I was thinking while we were looking at sand made from Cheerios,
02:28you could also take your beloved cheese puffs and grind those up and make like an orange sandy thing.
02:34That's actually excellent.
02:36I do love those cheese puffs.
02:37You know, and the new thing from her is the, um, those, uh...
02:41The Dippin' Dots balls?
02:42Yes, the Oreo and...
02:43You could do that?
02:44Oh, my God, they're so good.
02:45And that's sand you could eat.
02:47When there was no meat, we ate fowl.
02:49And when there was no fowl, we ate crowed in.
02:52And when there was no crowed that had to be fowl, we ate sand.
02:55You ate what?
02:56We ate sand.
02:58You ate sand?
02:59That's right.
03:02I love that clip.
03:03Cage is so good in that.
03:04You know what?
03:06Yeah, Raising Arizona is probably his best movie.
03:09I think that every cereal naturally produces its own dust, right?
03:13And Cheerios dust is probably the worst out of all of them.
03:16You choke on it.
03:17But, Steve, you mentioned Frosted Mini Wheats.
03:19And the dust that's created by Frosted Mini Wheats is its own little delectable treat.
03:23It's wonderful.
03:24And you can pour it on top of the cereal.
03:26You can have it in its own bowl of milk.
03:28It's almost like its own garnish.
03:29Yes, it is.
03:29Yeah, yeah.
03:30It's its own little dessert.
03:32But I don't know why the Cheerios dust is so disgusting.
03:34I'm glad that babies are enjoying it, but I don't find it particularly enjoyable.
03:37Well, now you can turn it into sand.
03:38Yeah.
03:39So you can eat sand.
03:40And, you know what, like, thinking of that, yes, as a kid, and especially Frosted Mini
03:45Wheats, my kids will, they will take some kind of food, whatever it is, and just mush
03:51it to death.
03:52And just, my son will sit there and just mix, mix, and mix.
03:55This is Carter.
03:55Mix, mix, mix, mix, just mush and smash and smash.
03:58I'm like, dude, what are you doing?
04:00Stop that.
04:01Gross.
04:02But you know what I used to do?
04:02But to him, it's not.
04:03Yeah.
04:03What I used to do as a kid, and I loved, was mushing my ice cream up into, like, a very
04:08fine, like a paste, almost like a paste.
04:12But you would have to eat it before it really melted.
04:15But kids in sand, they, you know, at a certain point, you know, you have to sort of, like,
04:20age into hating sand in your mouth.
04:23Right.
04:23Because kids, like, up to a certain age, like, they don't mind it at all.
04:27Most people stop eating sand at around 18.
04:30Some people are pointing out that this might actually teach children that they can eat sand.
04:33That's what I was thinking, but I didn't want to be, like, the Debbie Downer, but I'm
04:36like, well, this is a way that they're going to get to the beach and take a handful of sand
04:40in their mouth.
04:41You raise a good point, Kathy, because you remember the Play-Doh fun factor, or whatever
04:45it was, that replicated where you could make little dough burgers and stuff like that?
04:49Yeah, food.
04:49They said that had a side effect that's, oh, I guess I can eat all of this stuff that
04:55I play with.
04:56Well, and that Play-Doh comes in such vibrant colors.
04:58If you made a burger with, like, a nice tomato and lettuce, it would look good.
05:01That looks pretty tasty.
05:02But then again, if they try taking a fistful at the beach in their mouth, they'll go,
05:08I don't take that care of you.
05:09However, we had somebody in, Kathy, was it your friend who ate sand?
05:13No, it was my cousin's, well, it's now his ex-wife.
05:16It was my cousin's wife.
05:18And my other family members went over to their house for dinner once.
05:22And we knew she was a little off a rocker.
05:24But she, you know, served everyone else dinner, and she didn't have anything on her plate.
05:28And so someone said, are you not eating with us?
05:31Oh, no.
05:31I don't eat that.
05:32I'll be right back.
05:33And this is a true story.
05:34She went outside, and she scooped up sand from her beds, I guess, flower beds.
05:39She had sand out back.
05:41And she put it on a plate, and she came in, and they said she was spooning it into her mouth.
05:46And, like, you could hear her crunching on the sand while they were sitting there for dinner
05:52that she had prepared for them.
05:54But she didn't eat it.
05:55She had sand.
05:56It's called Pika, right?
05:57Yeah.
05:57This is where you like foam rubber.
06:00Hey, we were watching.
06:01Caroline was watching the other day, My Strange Addiction.
06:04Oh, really?
06:04And there was a woman whose thing was, she liked to eat Vicks VapoRub.
06:10Wow.
06:11And my daughter has no reference as to how gross that is.
06:15I'm like, you have no idea.
06:17I have it right here.
06:17How horrible that stuff is.
06:18I'll try a little bit.
06:19Yeah.
06:20You're going to eat it?
06:20Stop it.
06:21It doesn't taste good.
06:22What does the warning say?
06:24Does it say it's okay to eat?
06:25It says, do not even joke about this.
06:27Don't place a little bit on your tongue.
06:28And there was another woman who, Kathy, would eat makeup.
06:31That was her thing.
06:32Oh.
06:32Like eye shadow.
06:35Eye shadow, the powdery.
06:36The powdery stuff.
06:37She had like green all over her mouth and stuff.
06:40That's disgusting.
06:40It's so stupid.
06:41Lip gloss though, right?
06:43The stuff that smells good, you can eat that, right?
06:46I don't know.
06:47I mean, I wouldn't chow down on it, but it goes on your lips.
06:49Yeah, so it's not going to be poisonous or anything along those lines.
06:52It's like Ulta Cosmetics for many is kind of like a luncheonette.
06:56Does that smell edible?
06:59Oh, yeah.
06:59Like, hmm.
06:59I remember as a younger man, maybe even a child, I probably ate some of that stuff.
07:07Yeah.
07:07I remember when I used to eat cosmetics.
07:09I was a younger man back then.
07:12I would have a Rouge burger.
07:15It had the smell like food, though.
07:17Okay.
07:18So, you know, and what cosmetics do smell like food?
07:21Lip gloss.
07:22Yeah, like a vanilla lip gloss.
07:24Cherry.
07:25Yeah.
07:25Okay, I got you.
07:26Yeah.
07:26So, you did, didn't you?
07:27Yeah.
07:27You got me roast beef, right?
07:29Yeah, I got you.
07:29Yeah.
