Floral beach tributes are being laid on the sand for a nine-year-old boy who died when he became stuck between rocks at a popular beach on the New South Wales mid-north coast.

00:57This is a popular holiday spot and those who've been coming here for years say it's common to see children playing on and around the rocks that sit just offshore from the Main Beach.
