00:00Congress' Adirajan Chaudhary has questioned the credibility of the women's panel, the NCW,
00:11the National Commission for Women delegation that had visited Murshidabad.
00:15Adirajan Chaudhary, who himself had been to Murshidabad a few days ago,
00:19has questioned if these women's panels are even neutral, saying that the NCW works for the BJP.
00:25This comes even as the NCW delegation has visited Murshidabad and submitted a report to the central government.
00:33Now, Adirajan Chaudhary has claimed the NCW works for the BJP and the state women's panel works for the Trinamore Congress,
00:40effectively saying that he has no faith in any of these women's commissions.
00:44Adirajan Chaudhary has said that the NCW stands for BJP and theæŗ•åŽ˜

01:26Indrajit Kundu is joining us live with more details on this Indrajit, the political fight
01:41now over these delegations of the state women's panel, the National Women's Commission and
01:46whatnot with Adirajan Chaudhary questioning the authenticity of the reports really that
01:51they submit and the timing here is crucial.
01:53It's happened just as the NCW chief has submitted her report to the center.
01:56Well, that's right and you know, Adirajan Chaudhary did this press conference in Baharampur
02:02in Murshindabad itself.
02:03He has in fact, you know, met the victims' families over the past couple of days.
02:08He was the erstwhile MP from Baharampur and somebody who is very influential in Murshindabad district
02:14at that.
02:15What Adirajan Chaudhary is saying is that all these delegations that are going, especially
02:20the central and the state agencies, you know, they are all playing at the behest of one political
02:25party or the other.
02:26He says, essentially, the National Commission of Women is, you know, playing at the behest
02:30of the BJP at the center.
02:31If the state commission goes, which they haven't because Mamata Banerjee has said that she doesn't
02:36want to visit the place because she doesn't want to.
02:38She wants normalcy to return and do not want things to aggravate further.
02:42And that's the reason why Mamata Banerjee has already announced that she has asked the
02:47State Women's Commission or the State Human Rights Commission not to visit the location
02:50till such time things are back to normal.
02:53Adirajan Chaudhary is saying that just as during the NCW's visit, there was Archana Majumdar,
02:58there was Sri Rupa Mitra.
03:00These are BJP leaders who accompanied the National Commission for Women.
03:04Adirajan Chaudhary raising a stink about that, saying that now that the state commission,
03:08if at all they visit, they might be accompanied by Trinidad Moor leaders as well.
03:12So it's basically not serving any purpose right now.
03:16And what is the need of the hour is to, you know, somehow keep politics aside and, you
03:23know, let normalcy prevail on the ground.
03:25All right.
03:25Thanks, Indrajeet, for joining us with those details.
