00:00...for the MX2 qualifier race here in Switzerland, 20 minutos plus 2 laps.
00:05Liam Everett's closest to us, there's the helmet there of DeWolf, number 1.
00:09Kaz Falk next to him, Adamo and Langenfelder there, Timo Mendonsohn as well.
00:13So the first sort of 6, 7 gates on the right-hand side.
00:18Look at Kunin, tried to get across aggressively and it's cost him his right-of-way at the back.
00:25And it's Lata who leads, Adamo second, Kaz Falk in third.
00:30And Falk, looking to strike early, doubles his way in past Adamo and into second position.
00:39He's going to get squeezed at the back here though by Lata.
00:50So Valerio Lata leads, dropping into this turn, turn 6, the right-hander.
00:57Everybody seems like they're okay.
01:00DeWolf there in third, Adamo fourth, Everett's in fifth as they stretch out through the right.
01:04Left-hander, Langenfelder 6, Gwerda 7, Oliver 8, Braceres and McClellan.
01:09They are your top 10.
01:10And then we've got Beniston, Mikkel Ozenki, Elzingi, Ferez, Elzinga, sorry.
01:15DeWolf down inside of Volk, takes back that second position.
01:22But look at Lata already making a break for it.
01:27Sasha Kunin didn't do himself any favours, did he? He's in 20th place at the moment, came out very hot, tried to get across, bounced off of somebody.
01:35He's not the biggest lad in the world either, so he bounced right back in the opposite direction where he came from.
01:45Get these guys over the line at the end of this first lap, shall we?
01:47But it's Lata who continues to lead, DeWolf second, Kasvold 172 third, Adamo fourth looking to go around the outside there with that single.
01:55And then Langenfelder, Everett's, Oliver, Gwerda, Braceres, McClellan now up into ninth place though.
01:59Circuit now, very rugged, this part of the track, just a little bit sort of narrow as you get out of that long left part, sort of double apex left, left again before you drop across the start straight.
02:18Especially when it's sticky like this, you've got that high wall bank built up.
02:23But it's Lata who leads, he's got 1.8 seconds over Kai DeWolf.
02:26Block there, we've got pushed down to third by the number one, the red plate holder, the defending champion.
02:35Sacha Kuna's up into 17th after 20th on the, what, first half a lap or so?
02:46Here's McClellan, number eight on the Montenegro Triumph, he's up to ninth.
02:52Going after Mike Gwerda, the Swiss rider.
02:56Haven't seen him for a couple rounds, Gwerda, on this Swiss Moto HTS KTM team.
03:03He's going to be all the way to the outside, he may just hang himself out to dry here.
03:07As McClellan will come barging down the inside, take inside route number one.
03:11Gets on the power earlier, muscles his way past, Captain McClellan now up into eighth place.
03:18Just behind them, Thibaut Beniston, and Benny looking to go around the outside, and he's got Zanke behind him on the number 73 as well, in 11th place.
03:34And Guillaume Perez, welcome return to racing for the Monster Energy Triumph rider.
03:41Dwarf has done a great job of whittling down that, what was about a two-second gap to nothing here as they head over the line at the end of lap two.
03:57Dwarf is going to set the fastest lap of the race, it's down to eight-tenths.
04:07Crashed out spectacularly on that liquid body jump a year ago, didn't he, Kiderwolf?
04:11We'll be hoping to avoid such dramas here this weekend.
04:23Volk, about two seconds further back, as these two dispute the lead.
04:29Valerio Latta, he'll enjoy his time at the front, and it's one of those situations, isn't it, for the Honda HR-C rider?
04:33You get there, you stay for a lap, and then you do it again, you stay for a couple of laps, and then you do it again, stay for maybe three or four laps.
04:41This kind of intensity at the head of the field comes with experience, and the more times you stay there pushing this pace,
04:47OK, you might fade a little bit mid-race, or the last ten minutes of the race, or whatever it is,
04:52but you don't get that without the experience, and you know then how to change your training program up for the second half of the year, or maybe for the winter.
05:03He's doing a great job of keeping DeWolf there behind him.
05:08It's difficult to sort of stress how sticky this dirt is, very grippy, very sticky.
05:16You think you can just move across, and all of a sudden it's like you shut off, and it grabs you into the ground,
05:21in some parts of the racetrack, especially over on the far side of the circuit, not this side so much.
05:26But DeWolf iron up the young Italian, cuts to the inside, tries to make a shorter run through that chicane,
05:39over the finish line jump, again.
05:42These two separated by half a second now.
05:45Vogt, the fastest rider on track with the fastest lap of the race,
05:47and then Adamo immediately eclipses that time.
05:51Because those two now sense that DeWolf is being held up here by Valerio Latta.
05:57A mistake there from the number one.
05:59Cost him a little bit of time, but he'll be harder on the brakes into this right-hand turn.
06:02Maybe pull two or three tenths further back.
06:09Beniston 9, Zanke 10, Ferez up to 11, Guerta down a 12.
06:12So the Swiss rider, not used to this kind of intensity, already dropping out of the top ten now.
06:23And DeWolf having another look, for the lead.
06:31Elzinger in 16th place as I gaze over the leaderboard.
06:37Like here, very stodgy, the ground.
06:47Kind of almost feel like the bike is holding you back.
06:51Maybe a power issue, but it's just the sort of swampy nature of the ground on that part of the racetrack.
07:02Latta just trying to be precise, hit his marks, do his laps, all the rest of it.
07:06He's had three laps at the head of the field at the moment, but a slight bobble there.
07:10And that's enough for DeWolf to capitalise.
07:13We've got a new leader at the end of lap four, and it is Kai DeWolf.
07:17So DeWolf goes through, 1.42, 4.07.
07:27Adamo still the fastest lap in consecutive laps, but then Everts sets the fastest time now in sixth place.
07:34So there's not a lot in it between the first six riders, all pretty much wheel to wheel, separated by less than six seconds.
07:44There's Everts at the top end of the circuit.
07:47Where's Sacha Kunin? He's got himself up into 14th after his poor start.
07:50Volk, just a quick look across, checks where Adamo is.
07:59Well, the answer is right there, and now you'll see him.
08:02Now you know, Adamo goes by, moves up into third place.
08:05Not hanging around, is he, the Italian?
08:07Volk tries to get back though, but as he does that, Langenfelder goes through as well.
08:20Langenfelder now up into fourth, as Volk loses two positions in the lap.
08:25Looking over his shoulder, looking very nervous, Kaz Volk at the minute.
08:32Ah, Adamo.
08:33Slight problem there, Lata went to go defensive, Adamo will go to the outside, and then outside again here, he goes for the distance.
08:45Two into one, won't go just there, not yet anyway.
08:51Hard riding from the Italian though, on the number 18.
08:58Just coming in with so much more confidence this year, isn't he, Adamo?
09:03Won the championship two years ago, never really looked settled last year for a lot of different reasons.
09:10But this year he's come out swinging, he's got three podiums on the bounce the last three rounds.
09:15It's in a good place.
09:16Right, where's Evans?
09:28There he is, closing in on Volk in the background, and two riders come together there.
09:33Lata looks back to see if Adamo stayed up right.
09:36Well, he didn't, and Adamo picks himself up just ahead of McLennan in seventh place.
09:42So, unfortunate error there for Adamo, trying to find his way past Lata.
09:49And Evans finds his way past Volk, and moves up into fourth now.
10:02Volk's trying to fight back, but Evans just parks him there.
10:08So the 26 now, up into fourth position.
10:11Still six seconds off the lead, which is his teammate, Kaida Wolf.
10:14Back over into the sort of main arena, if you like.
10:31See where it's dry and slick and loose in some places.
10:34Here comes Oriol, Oliver.
10:43He fancies a little bit of Kaz Volk at the moment as well, because Volk in fifth, Oliver in sixth.
10:49Oliver.
10:52Scored in a couple of qualifying races this year.
10:57Got a ninth and a seventh.
10:58Kosari's best in seventh place.
11:00Looking to add more World Championship points to the tally, if he can.
11:15Well, Polario Lata still hanging on to second position.
11:21Seymour Langenfelder now.
11:23Kiering up behind him.
11:24Be the second Red Bull KTM to do so.
11:26Mikola only completed one lap on his tier.
11:43Disappointment for the Czech rider.
11:45But Valerio Lata.
11:52This is a lap a go.
11:53Watch this.
11:54Adamo trying to get down the inside of him here.
11:58Then just...
11:59That's a little bit too much of himself.
12:01His mistake.
12:04He'll be annoyed with that, because that's down to seventh now for the number eighting.
12:12Although he's got Oliver right there in his sights.
12:14Once again, less than half a second between those two.
12:18Meanwhile, the batter for second.
12:19Lata and Langenfelder.
12:23Lata not real comfortable, is he?
12:25With that left-hander at the end of pit lane.
12:31Since Langenfelder's got the pace
12:33on the Italian.
12:35I thought he was about to lose balance there, the German.
12:52Gap between Dwarf and Lata.
12:53Is he just keeping it stable?
12:56It's only 2.3 seconds, but it doesn't matter, does it?
12:58You win by a week, by a bike.
13:00Still the same point haul.
13:03Enough line there for Langenfelder when he came in to land.
13:06And Everts is closing in all of a sudden.
13:08He's just gone fastest in sector one.
13:10Beat Thibaut Beniston, though.
13:11A few positions further back in ninth.
13:13Goes a tenth quicker.
13:22Langenfelder can't afford to switch off here.
13:26Taken too long to find his way past Valerio Lata.
13:29Let's bring in Liam Everts into play.
13:31Let's go in the shortest route through.
13:41Taken another tenth or two out
13:43of the rider ahead of him.
13:48He's done a good job to bridge this gap, actually, as Everts.
13:56Adama is now up into sixth.
13:59Wasn't pretty, but he got the job done.
14:04Didn't really leave Oliver much room to work there, did he?
14:15Seven laps.
14:16Eight laps complete now.
14:18As DeWolf goes through.
14:20Lata and Langenfelder about 2.3 seconds further back.
14:23Everts 1.3 adrift.
14:25In fourth.
14:26Adama, two seconds behind.
14:30Katz-Volk.
14:32Having just moved it to sixth.
14:35With his pass on, uh,
14:37Orio Oliver.
14:38There's some deep ruts out there now in some of these corners and down some of these straights.
14:48But this circuit, the Brownfield, frustrating, Langenfelder, desperate now to find a way past the young Italian.
14:58Valerio Lata on the 18.
14:59For under HRC.
15:05He's trying everything.
15:06You see what I mean?
15:07From that drone shot.
15:10Ruts long as, sticky as.
15:12Once you're in, you're fixed in, you're zoned in.
15:15Then you add a bit of speed to that and a bit of lean angle.
15:19These guys definitely know what they're doing.
15:30Langenfelder knows he's being caught here by Everts.
15:32Just out of shot at the moment.
15:41Three-way battle for second now.
15:43Langenfelder will go to the outside.
15:44This has not been the best corner for Adama, for, uh, Lata.
15:47A little bit more efficient that time around, though.
15:51And it was Langenfelder who wasn't so clean and tidy.
16:01You sense that Langenfelder and Everts are slightly quicker than Valerio Lata.
16:07With four minutes plus two laps to go.
16:11Again, looks across, tried to defend.
16:13Langenfelder was right there, though.
16:15Langenfelder now second.
16:17And in the blink of an eye,
16:27Liam Everts all over the back of Valerio Lata
16:30as he eyes up third.
16:36Adama and Volk in the opposite screen
16:39over on the right-hand side.
16:41End of the straight.
16:42We've got a back marker there.
16:43Sorry, uh...
16:45Everts forces his way down the inside of Lata.
16:49Just looked up, saw a flash of blue there.
16:51I thought, oh, these two are gonna be an interesting couple of corners here
16:54for these two, but it was Langenfelder
16:56who was obviously pulling away from these guys,
16:58but great riding that from Everts.
17:00Moves up into third.
17:04And Adama.
17:07Up into fifth.
17:08Sun low as the riders hit the monster energy jump right in their eyes.
17:24That's Sun.
17:25Dwarf with his best lap last time around, 142.288.
17:31Fastest lap was at 141.512 of Everts, though.
17:36It's on lap four, five laps to go.
17:41Just over two and a half minutes plus two laps to go here.
17:45It's Kaida Wolf.
17:48Deals with a couple of back markers here and there.
17:50He's got 4.2 seconds over Langenfelder.
17:55Thibaut Beniston has found his way past Oliver as he moves into seventh place.
18:00Adama up to fifth with that move on Volk.
18:04Both Langenfelder and Everts going past Lata that time around.
18:08Second and third.
18:10Anyway, leading the way, Kaida Wolf.
18:14He'd already been pushed back to third by Kaz Volk early on,
18:17but this was going back from third to second.
18:20He moved back up the inside.
18:21Had to work hard for it.
18:23Then he got onto the rear wheel of the Polario Lata.
18:28Was just a little bit more efficient through the turn on the exit.
18:33That was for the lead.
18:34Adamo has closed in and gets around the outside of Valerio Lata.
18:41He moves up in the fourth.
18:49Good fight back this for Adamo.
18:53Despite that rider error, he just went from third to seventh.
18:57He's got himself back up into fourth place now.
19:00Liam Everts is about three and a half seconds further up the track though.
19:07Time ticking away.
19:11Barring any sort of nonsense.
19:16That should be where he stays.
19:18But look at Thibaut Beniston putting in a late charge as well.
19:21He's now up into, oh and he almost goes down there on the exit of the turn.
19:25He's found his way past Volk into sixth.
19:29He got Lata right there ahead of him in fifth place.
19:42Two lap board will be ready next time out.
19:51So who have we got here then with 20 seconds to go.
20:01Kaida Wolf leading the way.
20:03Langenfelder second.
20:04Hevers third.
20:05Adamo fourth.
20:07Lata in fifth.
20:09Timo Beniston here.
20:10Monster Nation Abahar.
20:11He's in sixth on the number nine.
20:17Battle hard to get there I think.
20:19And then McLelland seven.
20:22Volk eight.
20:22Oliver nine.
20:23Zanke ten.
20:25Ferez, Rachel Esprunier.
20:27Sasha Coonan and Rick Elzinger.
20:30And then we've got Maxim Grobe.
20:32Mike Werder.
20:35Magnus Smith.
20:36Saad Sulemanic and David Braceres.
20:39We've only the first ten riders score points to their world championship tally.
20:43Benistan has got a nice line up there hasn't he but he's going to get squeezed here.
20:53Let it go even tighter when he goes in and out.
20:55Tries to get on a flat bit of dirt rather than stay in the rut.
20:58Tries to get on a flat bit of dirt rather than stay in the rut.
20:59And then we're going to get on a flat bit of dirt rather than stay in the rut.
21:01And then we're going to get on a flat bit of dirt rather than stay in the rut.
21:02Promising this.
21:05Promising this from Valerio Latta.
21:06But meanwhile.
21:08Towards the end of lap 12.
21:11Lagerfelder and Evertz here on the right hand side.
21:13Lagerfelder and Benistan fighting over that second position.
21:24Then we've got Adamo for Lagerfelder and Benistan fighting over that fifth place.
21:30This would be a best finish for Valerio Latta.
21:33If he can stay there in that fifth position but he's got Kevner McClellan joining the party as well.
21:39Twice.
21:42Valerio Latta has finished seventh in the qualifying races so far this year.
21:46Saint-Jean d'Angeline, Trentino one week ago.
21:53Kenny holding together for the next two laps.
22:01Lagerfelder going defensive.
22:04Evertz can't find a way through.
22:05The middle rider in shot.
22:06Second rider in shot now.
22:09Evertz can't find a way through.
22:18See how the track is just opening up.
22:20Some of those lines that were a little bit sort of 90 degree right.
22:24These guys have barged through them.
22:26Opened up the turn.
22:27Coming out of that bottom right hander.
22:28Quick pull of the tear off there for Evertz.
22:41Still circulating in third place.
22:43It's only one time he's finished outside of the top three in these qualifying races on a Saturday.
22:51That was the opening round in Argentina.
22:53When he wasn't even close to being ready.
22:56Somehow came away fourth overall in that Grand Prix.
22:58But he's been third on two other occasions.
23:04Second and first.
23:05Two rounds ago in Trentino.
23:07Sorry, last weekend in Trentino.
23:08Adamo coming back for more.
23:14Look, we're into the final lap.
23:19Evertz knows he can't afford to hang around.
23:20And he gets good drive through here.
23:26Is it an inside outside move that's going to pay off?
23:29Or is he going to cut back to the inside?
23:31Can't.
23:32Can't get across.
23:33Ruts are too high.
23:34Too deep.
23:37Adamo closing in on both of them.
23:40Coming in hot.
23:42Round the outside on the number 80.
23:50Great race this from Adamo.
23:58Another personal best lap for him last time around in the 41s.
24:01When you look at DeWolf at 43.4.
24:04Langerfeld at 44.5.
24:06Evertz 44.2.
24:08And then Adamo 41.6 lap time.
24:13Gives you an indication as to how hard the former world champion is pushing.
24:18He knows every point is vital.
24:26DeWolf and Langerfelder were separated by 12 points coming in to this qualifying race.
24:33And as Kai DeWolf crosses the line, he'll take another maximum 10 points
24:38in his championship.
24:39The first time he wins a qualifying race in 2025.
24:44Kai DeWolf getting off to a great start.
24:47Langerfelder crossing the line in second.
24:50Evertz third.
24:52Adamo fourth.
24:56And Thibaut Benet.
