01:44Hey, everybody.
01:46You all right?
01:48How are you?
01:50Nice to see you.
01:52Nice to see you.
01:54Nice to see you.
01:56Nice to see you.
01:57Nice to see you.
01:58Nice to see you.
01:59Nice to see you.
02:00Great-looking group of people, huh?
02:02That's the John over there with the whole crew.
02:04I like my hand.
02:06Congratulations.
02:08Thank you, sir.
02:09Well, thank you very much, everybody.
02:10This is a very important day.
02:12It's a day that we're delighted to swear in Dr. Mehmet Oz as the next administrator of the Centers for Medicine and Medicaid Services, which is a big deal.
02:26Congratulations to Dr. Oz and his beautiful wife, Lisa, and their friends and family on this really incredible achievement.
02:36Come a long way, huh?
02:38This is amazing.
02:39Dr. Oz comes to this position as one of the nation's most talented and beloved medical professionals.
02:46He graduated from Harvard University.
02:49Ah, Harvard.
02:50Well, how convenient.
02:53Should we talk about Harvard?
02:55Before obtaining his M.D. at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, a great one.
03:01And really some amazing education while also earning an MBA from the wonderful Wharton School of Business.
03:11He completed his medical residency at the world-renowned New York Presbyterian Columbia University Medical Center.
03:18Dr. Oz then had a sterling medical career in which he became an internationally acclaimed heart and lung surgeon, highly respected.
03:27He served as director of the Cardiovascular Institute and integrative medicine program at New York Presbyterian and as a long-time professor at Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons.
03:42Boy, oh boy.
03:43Dr., I thought he just did a show.
03:45I only know the show.
03:47You know why I know the show?
03:48Because he said, I'm a little overweight.
03:49I should lose some weight.
03:50I did a show and that's what I got out of it.
03:52That was not good.
03:54But I'm looking at all of his others.
03:56This is very impressive.
03:57Dr. Oz authored more than 400 contributions to academic and scientific publications and all several patents for technologies that revolutionized cardiovascular surgery.
04:09And Dr. Oz later translated his experience into an extraordinary successful television career, making him one of the most trusted voices on healthcare.
04:19And he also got very high ratings.
04:21I can tell you that he did great with the television thing.
04:25As CMS administrator, Dr. Oz will work tirelessly to strengthen and protect Medicare for our nation's seniors and Medicaid for the needy.
04:35Just as I promised, there will be no cuts.
04:38We're not going to have any cuts.
04:39We're going to have only help.
04:41Dr. Oz will work to improve the quality of care for decades to come and he'll ensure that criminals, fraudsters, and illegal aliens are not permitted to rob America's seniors.
04:52They are trying, but they're not going to get away with it.
04:55He will also work alongside Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
05:01I've heard of him.
05:02He's a pretty famous guy.
05:03He's doing a great job to address the crisis of chronic illness and to make America healthy again.
05:10So I want to just thank Dr. Oz because this is a big commitment he's making.
05:14He has a lot of options and this is a big, big commitment.
05:17And I want to congratulate you and your family on really an amazing life.
05:22And I think this is going to be by far the most important part of an already incredible life.
05:28So thank you very much.
05:29Thank you very much.
05:30God bless you.
05:31Thank you very much.
05:32Thank you for taking care of yourself.
05:33Congratulations.
05:34It's amazing.
05:36Congratulations.
05:37Wow.
05:38Good job, huh?
05:39Are you ready, Bobby?
05:40I sure am.
05:41Let's do it.
05:42You put your hand on the Bible, your left hand, and raise your right hand.
05:48And repeat after me.
05:49I, Mehmet Oz, do solemnly swear.
05:50I, Mehmet Oz, do solemnly swear.
05:51That I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States.
06:04That I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States.
06:07Against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
06:09Against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
06:12That I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same.
06:16That I take this obligation freely.
06:20That I take this obligation freely.
06:23Without any mental reservation.
06:26Without any mental reservation.
06:27Or purpose of evasion.
06:29Or purpose of evasion.
06:31And that I will well and faithfully.
06:33And that I will well and faithfully.
06:35Discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter.
06:39Discharge the duties of the office upon I am about to enter.
06:42So help me, God.
06:43So help me, God.
06:44God bless you.
06:45Congratulations.
06:58I've got to start off by thanking three people.
07:01Mr. President, thank you very much.
07:03God bless you for leading our nation.
07:05But also courageously leading the Maha movement.
07:08Really earnestly in your heart wanting to get America to be healthy again.
07:11And for giving me an opportunity to help with that mission.
07:14Secretary Kennedy has been leading the charge at Health and Human Services.
07:19A dear friend, like a brother, has done unbelievably courageous work.
07:23Because he's curious.
07:24And he started answering a lot of important questions.
07:26And I will treasure for the rest of my days your trust in me to help you with this progress.
07:32And, of course, Lisa, the family, but Lisa in particular, who's had an uncanny ability to identify opportunities and to always keep a clear North Star to keep our family grounded.
07:43God bless you, my beautiful one.
07:46Let me start with a simple premise.
07:48Every great society, everyone, has an opportunity to take care of its most vulnerable and treasures that opportunity.
07:55And we're a great people, so we will do the same.
07:58As we enter the main building, the Humphreys building, where Health and Human Services is located, there's a placard of Hubert Humphrey.
08:06And it says that it's a moral opportunity, a moral obligation of government to take care of people in the dawn of their life, the kids.
08:15In the twilight of their life, the elderly, the mature, the seniors.
08:20And those in the shadows of life, those struggling with disabilities.
08:24We want to provide America with access to great care.
08:28We want to save the public health insurance programs of this country.
08:32That's what President Trump asked me to do when he took this position to administer the programs at CMS.
08:38Now, if we're going to do that, you've got to be honest with each other.
08:41And a physician, President Trump, has to always do that, right?
08:44We've got to share news, so do presidents, that folks don't want to hear, but it's important for our well-being.
08:49I'm going to give you four bullet points to remember.
08:52Bullet point number one, and they're all numbered in order for a reason.
08:55Medicaid is the number one budget item for many states, and it is crowding out education, other important social programs.
09:02The states are having a big problem, and that's with the federal government paying most of the bill.
09:07Item number two, health care expenditures are increasing at 2% higher, higher than the economy is growing.
09:14And because of that, we spend more than two times per person on health care than any other country on the planet, and we're not getting value for that.
09:22Because number three is that we are, in America, experiencing an unfortunate problem, which is medical errors are the number three cause of death.
09:30Did you know that, Mr. President?
09:32It's surprising, with that much money invested, we're still having problems.
09:35And number four, our life expectancy, despite all this investment, is continuing to slip back.
09:41We're now more than four years shorter in our life expectancy than countries that we used to be equal to.
09:47But I am optimistic. Why? Because we control our destiny.
09:50Because at its very core, we have a generational opportunity, a unique ability to save the health care system, because we control all the big pieces.
09:59America is too great for small dreams.
10:02So I've got some big ideas I'd like to share that we've worked through with my staff who are cordoned off over there, and there's a lot of us.
10:07We've got almost more than 6,000 people at CMS working on this, and 40,000 contractors helping.
10:13So we've got a lot of people. What are we going to do? First, we're going to reduce chronic disease. How do you do that?
10:17Seventy percent of the health care expenditures of this country are driven by chronic disease.
10:22And it is your patriotic duty, I'll say it again, the patriotic duty of all Americans to take care of themselves,
10:28because it's important for serving in the military, but it's also important because healthy people don't consume health care resources.
10:34The best way to reduce drug spending is to use less drugs, because you don't need them because you're healthy.
10:38And it feels a lot better as well.
10:40The President and Secretary Kennedy have been pushing the Maha agenda because it makes it easier for people to do the right thing,
10:46especially the mothers of this great land, because they're the ones who really get caught with this responsibility.
10:52They're the ones deciding for their kids. They're the ones we want to empower.
10:55And curiosity, which is the key word here, truly asking questions you want the answers to, will allow the Maha movement to thrive.
11:02The next big thing we want to focus on is modernizing Medicare and Medicaid.
11:06That's how Americans will get the care that they want, need and deserve, need to empower patients and providers, both.
11:12The doctors and the patients both have to be equipped with better tools.
11:15And the President is showing that he actually does love and cherish Medicare with all these executive orders,
11:21like the one on transparency, sir, that really helps us by making sure people are equipped with information.
11:26So you shine a light in the dark shadows where so much of the problems happen with the health care system.
11:30And remember, the most expensive care is bad quality care. That's what we want to stamp on.
11:35And finally, we want to crush fraud, waste and abuse. This is stunning to me.
11:39I've got a message for all the bad guys from me, the Secretary and the President.
11:43We are going to stop people from stealing from our most vulnerable, from stealing with the taxpayers of America,
11:49who are honestly trying to support these programs. And we're going to be able to do it in quite a few ways.
11:54We are coming for you. And I'll give you a couple of examples.
11:56Mr. President, these are ones that you may want to use in some of your first future conversations.
12:01Almost a quarter million people, American citizens, were fraudulently enrolled, without their knowledge,
12:07in exchange programs by brokers who were unscrupulous, stealing from the U.S. government
12:12by pretending these people were on programs they never told them about.
12:15Tens of millions of dollars, Mr. President, are being spent on illegal immigrants receiving Medicaid in California,
12:21and they're pushing the bill to us. Should we stop that? I think so. That will not continue.
12:26We're spending about a billion dollars on Medicaid programs for dual-state eligible patients,
12:31which means you live in one state, but the system thinks you're in another state,
12:34and maybe a third state, and we're paying all three states for services you're not getting
12:38because you don't live in three states all at once.
12:40And finally, and this one really bothers me, there are states who are using Medicaid.
12:44Medicaid dollars for people who are vulnerable are being used for non-medical purposes.
12:48For example, public labor unions are getting childcare through some of this money.
12:52That doesn't make sense to me. Housekeeping. I wish I could get that for my home.
12:56There's a big problem with student loan repayments taking place with Medicaid dollars.
13:00That's not where it should be used. And we are paying for DEI programs.
13:03I could go on, but these are all programs, Mr. President, that we have created a war room at CMS to go after,
13:09to cash to fraud in real time before the money leaves the federal coffers,
13:12so we have the money to reinvest in health care to make it even stronger than it's been before.
13:16Together we're going to make the care better, we're going to make the outcomes improve,
13:20and we're going to make sure that America can actually be the healthiest country that could ever possibly be.
13:25We'll make America healthy again. God bless you both, sir.
13:40Mr. President, Secretary Rubio said that the U.S. will have to figure out whether a deal can be done between Russia and Ukraine in a matter of days,
13:55or you will just move on.
13:57Yeah, very shortly.
13:58How many days is that?
13:59No specific number of days, but quickly, we want to get it done.
14:04We're talking about here people dying, and we're talking about over there people are dying also,
14:09like on average 2,500 young people soldiers.
14:13They're not from America.
14:14They're not from anywhere else other than Ukraine and Russia, but we want to save these lives.
14:20So it's 2,500 a week being killed in battle.
14:24It's a vicious battle with the best equipment, the best everything, and it is brutal.
14:302,500 young people a week, some of them not so young, actually.
14:35They're getting older.
14:36They're getting older by the month.
14:38But 2,500 a week, and we're going to get it stopped ideally.
14:42Now, if for some reason one of the two parties makes it very difficult,
14:48we're just going to say you're foolish, you're fools, you're horrible people,
14:52and we're going to just take a pass.
14:54But hopefully we won't have to do that.
14:57And Marco is right in saying we want to see it end.
15:01Think of it.
15:02Every day a lot of people are being killed as we talk about, you know, as they play games.
15:09So we're not going to take that, and we will see.
15:13I think we have a good chance of solving the problem, however.
15:16What do you need to see?
15:17Are you prepared to walk away completely from these efforts and these talks?
15:20Well, I don't want to say that, but we want to see it end.
15:24We want to see it end.
15:25Yeah.
15:26Is Vladimir Putin stalling, in your view, Mr. President?
15:28I hope not.
15:29I'm going to let you know about that soon, if he is, but I hope not.
15:32He's got a big force out there.
15:35Big force.
15:36It's a war that should have never happened.
15:38It would have never happened if I was president.
15:40And it didn't happen for four years.
15:42That's a war that should have never happened.
15:44October 7th, Israel would have never happened.
15:47Iran was broke.
15:48And now we'll see what happens with Iran.
15:50We have a lot of them out there.
15:51We have a lot of things that we're working on right now that shouldn't have happened.
15:55None of it.
15:56Ukraine would have never happened with Russia.
15:59October 7th would have never happened, so you wouldn't have had all the problems in the Middle East.
16:04The Afghanistan embarrassment, probably the most embarrassing day in the history of our country, would have never happened.
16:10Inflation would have never happened.
16:12By the way, prices are down.
16:15Groceries are down.
16:16Eggs, which you hit me so hard, I'll never forget the first day, first week in office they were screaming at me about eggs.
16:25I said, what's going on with eggs?
16:27They were doubling and tripling.
16:29I said, I just got here.
16:31They were up like double, triple, and you couldn't get any.
16:34They said, you won't have eggs for Easter.
16:36Well, you can have all the eggs you want.
16:38I'll tell you, Brooke Rollins, Secretary of Agriculture, did a great job.
16:41And the egg prices are down 87%.
16:46But nobody talks about that.
16:48You can have all the eggs you want.
16:50We have too many eggs.
16:51In fact, if anything, the prices are getting too low.
16:54So I just want to let you know, prices are down.
16:58Gasoline yesterday in three states hit $1.98 a gallon.
17:05And it looks like it's at a level that it hasn't seen since my days, my four years.
17:11So it's about two, I'd say maybe, I think we're going to average, we're going to be averaging $2.25 very soon.
17:20So I just want to let you know, though, because I keep hearing about prices and inflation, prices are coming down, not going up.
17:28Only the fake news says they're going up.
17:30The only thing that's even are interest rates.
17:33And if we had a Fed chairman that understood what he was doing, interest rates would be coming down, too.
17:38He should bring them down.
17:40Yeah, please.
17:41Mr. President, what do you need to see from both sides in order to keep negotiations going?
17:46What do you want to see from Russia and Ukraine?
17:49I have to see my whole life has been one big negotiation.
17:52And I know when people are playing us and I know when they're not.
17:56And I have to see an enthusiasm to want to end it.
17:59And I think I see that enthusiasm.
18:02I think I see it from both sides.
18:04Do you think Russia is playing you?
18:06But you're going to know soon.
18:07Do you think Russia is playing you?
18:09No, nobody's playing me.
18:11I'm trying to help.
18:12You know, this was Biden's war, by the way.
18:14By me getting involved, you know, they'll say, oh, it's Trump.
18:17This is not Trump's war.
18:18This is Biden.
18:19This is a war that should have never happened.
18:21OK, think of it.
18:23Those cities are crushed and crashed and all those beautiful steeples, the most beautiful in the world,
18:28actually considered the most beautiful in the world.
18:30Most of them are now smashed to smithereens, as they say, and lying on the ground in a million pieces.
18:38Those towns are crushed the whole place.
18:40It's so horrible.
18:41And millions of people are dead far more than you think.
18:45That's one thing you're going to get out of this war.
18:47You're going to find out that your estimates are far lower than it's far worse than people think.
18:52Nobody's playing anybody.
18:54We are going to see if we can get it done.
18:56I think we have a really good chance of getting it done.
18:59And it's coming to a head right now.
19:01Mr. President.
19:02Mr. President.
19:03Mr. President.
19:04If you do decide to move on or take a pass, Mr. President, would you then continue to support Ukraine militarily?
19:11Well, I'm not going to say that because I think we're going to get it done.
19:13Mr. President.
19:14There's a group of Venezuelan men down in Texas who have been alerted that they are soon going to be deported under the Alien Enemies Act.
19:24Have you authorized that operation?
19:26And where are they going to go?
19:27Mr. President.
19:28I don't know about the group you're talking about, but if they're bad people, I would certainly authorize it, yeah.
19:32You know, I won an election in a landslide.
19:34We won all seven swing states.
19:36We won by millions of votes.
19:38We won 2,750 districts to 505 districts.
19:442,750 to 505.
19:46That's why the map, when you look at it, is all red.
19:50And one of the biggest reasons, I think the biggest single reason, actually, I'd like to say it's because of this,
19:56because I think they're going to come up with things that are incredible.
19:58But probably the biggest reason was because of the border and because of illegal immigration.
20:03And the people of this country want those people out because what Biden did and his I don't know if he did it.
20:09I'm not even sure he knows what the hell he was doing.
20:11But what his people did representing him was allow millions and millions of people from jails, from prisons all over the world,
20:20people from mental institutions and insane asylums, gang members, drug dealers, pouring into our place.
20:27And you know what? Our people voted for me to get them out.
20:30They want them out. They want them out.
20:33And we've done a hell of a job.
20:35By the way, Ecuador and various places, but El Salvador.
20:42We've been helped by a lot of other states where they're helping us, actually, because you couldn't.
20:48Look, what this man was thinking when they allowed open borders and people to come in.
20:53If you look at Venezuela, their crime is down by 72 percent.
20:58You know why? They took all their criminals off the street. They took all their prisoners from jail.
21:02They took murders.
21:03Eleven thousand and eighty eight murderers were released into our country.
21:09Bad things are going to happen. Bad things.
21:12And we're getting them out. And that's why I was elected.
21:15A judge wasn't elected to do that. I was elected to do that.
21:18And we're doing it in record fashion.
21:21We have the safest border, the most secure border we've ever had.
21:24See the Declaration of Independence? You should all read that before you leave.
21:28That's the real deal. You should all read it before you leave. Yeah.
21:31Sir President, photos have emerged of Senator Van Hollen sipping what appears to be margaritas
21:38with the Braco Garcia down in El Salvador.
21:40Do you encourage other Democrats to fly down to El Salvador to meet with this illegal alien who's an accused white beater?
21:47I like this guy. See, this is the kind of a reporter we like.
21:51There aren't enough of them. We got to get some more of them.
21:54But no, I appreciate that question.
21:56No, look, he's a fake. I know him. I know them all. They're all fake.
22:00And they have no interest in that prisoner.
22:03That prisoner's record is unbelievably bad.
22:06If you would go into the room, you might.
22:08If you would, Caroline, maybe go into the room and see if you can find that little slip.
22:13I wrote some things down. I don't know why you'd want to keep them.
22:18But I just, we got a little biography of him.
22:22Did you help set up that meeting?
22:23Not a very, not a very innocent guy.
22:26Did you help set up that meeting, sir?
22:28Mr. President, in the spirit of Easter Sunday.
22:31While we're on the subject, right?
22:32Yes, of course.
22:33So, you're talking about Abrego Garcia. Is that the one? Yeah?
22:38Is an illegal alien MS-13 gang member and foreign terrorists.
22:42This comes out of the State Department and very legitimate sources.
22:46I mean, I assume. I'm reading. I'm just giving you what they handed to me.
22:50But this was supposed to be certified stuff.
22:53In 2019, Garcia was issued a deportation order.
22:57Two separate judges affirmed Garcia was a member of MS-13,
23:00which is a gang that may be even worse than Tren de Aragua.
23:05It may be worse.
23:06They kill people with knives because it's more painful.
23:10Very famous for the knifing and killing of two young 16-year-old girls walking to school one day.
23:17And they slice them up into little pieces and kill them.
23:20That's MS-13.
23:22And two separate judges affirmed, affirmed, Garcia was a member of MS-13.
23:28When Garcia was originally arrested, he was wearing a sweatshirt with rolls of money pouring out.
23:34An MS-13 gang symbol that he was driving with two other known violent MS-13 gang members.
23:43Two of the most violent members that we know of in the MS-13 gang of thugs.
23:49In 2022, Garcia was stopped by the Tennessee Highway Patrol and was found to be transporting seven people from Texas to Maryland.
23:59And he had no driver's license.
24:01He was driving violently.
24:03In 2020 and 2021, Garcia's wife filed for a protective order from him and said he was violent and abusive and really scary.
24:15He left her on the eye, left her bleeding after throwing her laptop on the floor at her, ripped her shirt and ripped off her shorts.
24:25He then grabbed her arm, leaving very severe marks.
24:28Garcia's wife also wrote in court, at this point, I am afraid to be close to him.
24:33I just don't want to be close.
24:34I have multiple photos and videos how violent he can be and all of the bruises that he's left on me.
24:41She just couldn't get anywhere near him.
24:46This is the man that the Democrats are wanting us to fly back from El Salvador to be a happily ensconced member of the USA family.
24:56Isn't it a shame?
24:59And by the way, I've been hit pretty hard by fake shows, fake news, MSDNC in particular, where they talk about how evil I am that this man would be thrown out of our country.
25:13This man is a, according to certified statements that we get, is a very violent person.
25:22And they want this man to be brought back into our country where he can be free and to stay as a happily, you know, happily, they call him the Maryland man.
25:34He's a Maryland father.
25:36No, this is a violent person who they don't talk about is that wonderful angel mom who lost her daughter, who had five beautiful children.
25:47And she was killed violently, killed violently.
25:51And, you know, she spoke and she spoke unbelievably.
25:55I saw it.
25:56And the fake news didn't pick it up.
25:59She spoke.
26:00She was in tears.
26:02She's devastated.
26:03Her life is, you know, essentially, she's told me her life is like over.
26:07But there was like, I think, no stories.
26:10Isn't that true?
26:11No stories.
26:12Zero stories.
26:13It was the most emotional thing.
26:16Everybody that watched it, they couldn't believe it.
26:18The fake news refused to put it up.
26:21So it's very sad.
26:23And yet they talk about this guy like he's an angel.
26:25See the angel up there?
26:26They think he's like that, like a little angel.
26:29Sir, on Iran, would you be open to letting Iran keep some kind of civil nuclear program?
26:43Or would the entire program need to be dismantled?
26:45I'm for stopping Iran very simply from having a nuclear weapon.
26:50They can't have a nuclear weapon.
26:51I want Iran to be great and prosperous and terrific.
26:56I stopped them once they were broke and they didn't have any money for Hamas.
27:00They didn't have any money for Hezbollah.
27:02There wouldn't have been an October 7th disaster.
27:05They were broke.
27:06They had no money.
27:07And they weren't spending it to terrorist organizations because they had none.
27:11When Biden came in, he took all the sanctions off.
27:14China wasn't allowed to buy.
27:16I said, you buy, if you buy, because they're the biggest customer.
27:19I said, you buy one barrel of oil, just one barrel of oil from Iran and you can't do business in the United States.
27:26And by the way, we have nice conversations going with China just to intercede.
27:30You know, it's like really very good.
27:33But with Iran, they can't have a nuclear weapon.
27:38And if they have a nuclear weapon, you'll all be very unhappy.
27:43You'll all be very unhappy because your life will be in great danger.
