Mumbai, April 18, 2025 (ANI): Visulas from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), formerly known as Victoria Terminus - a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2004. The Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus is an outstanding example of Victorian Gothic Revival architecture in India, blended with themes deriving from traditional Indian architecture. The building, designed by the British architect FW Stevens, became the symbol of Bombay as the ‘Gothic City’ and the country's major international mercantile port. World Heritage Day, also known as the International Day for Monuments and Sites, is observed on April 18th every year to raise awareness about the importance of cultural heritage preservation.
