00:00James, come on, get in here. It's time to play Mount Your Friends.
00:24I'm ready, let's play!
00:26Oh no.
00:27You ready?
00:30We're actually playing on the Xbox, James, not in live action this time.
00:35Oh, well, I guess I better go change.
00:37Yeah, I think you better.
00:40Hey, what's up? It is Chuck the Freak and, of course, James.
00:55Hello.
00:56I'm Dave and Chuck the Freak and we are Two Guys, One Video Game.
01:01The game we're reviewing this time is actually a suggestion from a listener who emailed us at DaveAndChuckTheFreak at WRF.com.
01:06And we're going to review Mount Your Friends.
01:09So what Mount Your Friends is, it's like a super cheap download that you can get on Xbox Marketplace.
01:16It costs us what, like a buck?
01:17Like a dollar.
01:18It's like a dollar.
01:19It's like an indie game.
01:20I think it's just been developed by one dude.
01:23Yeah.
01:24The game's been out for a little while, but it's brand new to us.
01:26Yeah.
01:27We never heard of it until the email came in.
01:28Right.
01:29It's like homoerotic Jenga.
01:30Yeah.
01:31That's what it is.
01:32And instead of wooden pieces, you're playing as poorly designed, graphically, human men.
01:41Swinging targets.
01:42Swinging, your arms swinging.
01:44You almost look like one of those sock things at a grand opening at a car dealership.
01:47Yes.
01:48The opening music to the title screen that says Mount Your Friends.
01:51Yeah.
01:52A sports-like simulation.
01:54Yeah.
01:55It's funny.
01:56You can tell the guy who made the game is very funny.
01:57He's got a great sense of humor.
01:59You know, the music is like you're dancing at a nightclub.
02:02And then once you start playing the game, I feel like the background music is like something
02:07you'd hear in a dramatic scene during, like, Lord of the Rings or Jurassic Park.
02:11Like, it's intense.
02:12It is intense.
02:13Like, you know, once you start the game, it is on.
02:15Yeah.
02:16What surprised me is how badly I wanted to win this game.
02:20How badly I wanted to Mount James repeatedly over and over and over again.
02:26And I'm dealing with that issue not just in the video game, but also in real life.
02:29So, I'm used to it.
02:30That's fine.
02:31Like, the one complaint I have about the game is controls.
02:33Controls are real wacky.
02:34You literally use these buttons and your joystick to control which limbs go where and that
02:39kind of stuff.
02:40So, it's hard sometimes to maneuver your character.
02:42I guess maybe that's part of the challenge.
02:44It's not a game you're going to buy because you're going to invest hours and hours of your
02:47day playing.
02:48This is more of a party game.
02:49You invite some people over.
02:51You have some fun.
02:52And instead of, you know, getting under the influence and watching Labyrinth on Netflix
02:56for the hundredth time, you play by your friends.
02:58It really reminds me of Sega Genesis, kind of.
03:01Yeah.
03:02But all in all, we had a pretty good time playing the game.
03:05All right.
03:06That wraps up another edition of Two Guys, One Video Game.
03:10I'm Chuck the Freak.
03:11He's James.
03:12And remember, you can get a hold of us if you want us to review a game that you think
03:17we should review.
03:18Yeah.
03:19Just shoot us an email.
03:20Dave and ChuckTheFreak at WRF.com.
03:22And let us know what game you would like to see us review on the next edition of Two Guys,
