00:00¿Qué es lo primero que te hace enamorarte de esta historia?
00:30Lo primero que me hace enamorarme de la historia es saber que Viola Davis va a ser la presidenta en la película. Eso me pareció sensacional. Me encanta la idea de una mujer en una película de acción porque toda la vida hemos visto al hombre, desde Bruce Willis y Harrison Ford y todos nuestros actores favoritos.
00:55Pero ahora es el momento de que también demostremos que las mujeres también son buenísimas para la acción.
01:01Y Viola, olvídate, ya la viste. Realmente es de miedo de lo buena que es para la pelea.
01:09Pero además trae algo diferente, Luis, al personaje y a la película que muchas veces las películas de acción no te lo dan. Solo las mejores.
01:18Que es esa profundidad de personaje. Ese personaje que tiene relaciones importantes humanas, que la historia está enraizada. Le da otro nivel.
01:32Ramón, many have a lot of action scenes. Shoots, hand-to-hand combat. ¿Did you do some of your stunts?
01:50So, you know, yes, I did. And that was a lot of fun. We did a lot of training. I did a lot of tactical weapons training.
01:59I did a lot of hand-to-hand as well and even learned a bit of jujitsu. And so I did as much as I, you know, I wanted to do all of it.
02:09There's certain things either A, I can't do or they won't allow me to even try to do.
02:13For instance, I'm not going to jump out of a moving car and roll on the ground. That's just not going to happen.
02:19And so we, you know, we had an amazing stunt team and I had a really wonderful stunt double who made Manny look extra cool and extra badass.

02:41En tantas cosas pasando en la historia, ¿cuál fue para ti tu mayor reto?
02:46Ah, fíjate que el mayor reto verdaderamente es tener todas esas cosas a la vez, ¿no?
02:53Normalmente las películas son comedia de acción, ¿no? Y entonces es pura comedia y es absurdo todo, pero no, aquí es un evento real, el G20 existe.
03:04Entonces uno de los grandes retos era mantener la verisimilitud, ¿no? Del evento y de que está sucediendo, no estamos en el espacio ni es fantasía.
03:13Y a la vez hacer una acción súper increíble tipo Hollywood. Y a la vez hacer las relaciones humanas, darle corazón.
03:23A mí me gusta siempre tener, darle corazón en las películas, es algo que hago naturalmente.
03:28Y por último, echarle la comedia, echarle las risas, porque eso te ayuda, ¿no? O sea, quitas la atención, te ríes un poquito y luego seguir. Eso es lo más difícil.

03:48Manny is more than an agent who protects the president. He is a friend. Sometimes he's like a mentor.
03:54How do you work with Viola to create this confidence between your characters?
04:00You know, the good thing is a lot of it was on the page and that's something that really attracted me to the character and to the film was the history that these two shared.
04:08You know, both serving in military and serving in war together and I imagine, you know, them watching each other rise the ranks and Viola going politically and Manny becoming a Secret Service agent and then being selected by her to become the lead Secret Service agent.
04:24So, that was great to have it on the page, but then, you know, with Viola, she's really such a, obviously, beyond talented, she's just a generous, gracious person.
04:33And so, we started initially, we met actually, the first time we met was training.
04:40You know, we were doing some martial arts training and in that process, which was great, we were learning Jiu Jitsu together and there's nothing that brings you closer, literally, than when you're rolling with someone on the ground.
04:55You're learning something, you know, so we immediately became close and we bonded on a lot of things and we had so many conversations about, you know, just personal stuff and she's so generous and gracious again, like I said.
05:07And then it just became about on screen for me continuing to make sure my number one priority was I had to protect her, I have to keep her alive.
05:16And like you said, sometimes it was almost like a sibling, they would like go at each other, but I think, you know, it hopefully was clear that his intentions are his dedication to keeping her alive and the lengths that he's willing to go through.
05:30I mean, I laugh because Manny keeps coming back and I just thought that was pretty funny and I love that.
05:39It said a lot about his resilient spirit.

05:52Y además tienen un supervillano, porque el villano está increíble. ¿Cómo fue la construcción con Anthony Starr para ser este villano?
06:00Lo más difícil, ahora que lo dices, es construir un buen villano. Son bien difíciles, nos tardamos mucho. En guión, se tardó mucho ese villano en salir.
06:09Incluso no había alcanzado a salir. Fue realmente un trabajo con Anthony Starr, que es un grandísimo actor, el completar ese personaje, en darle tridimensionalidad.
06:21Para mí era importante y también para él que no fuera solamente un villano que no te la crees, sino que tuviera sus razones.
06:28Y además le dimos razones importantes, que uno hasta a veces se alía con el villano.
06:34Hay momentos en la historia en el que sientes, creo que el villano tiene razón.
06:39Entonces eso fue como muy bonito, humanizar a un villano. Y además es malo como las arañas, ¿verdad? A la vez.
06:48Ahora controlamos la narrativa.
06:53Mi marido y los niños están perdidos. Tenemos que encontrarlos.
06:56¿Qué traits do you feel that Ramón has, that also Manny has?
07:01I mean, I think there's a resilience that I have without a doubt.
07:07You know, growing up where I grew up in the Lower East Side of New York and to make it through that requires a lot of different things.
07:15But without a doubt, resilience is one of those things.
07:18I think maybe the other thing that I share with Manny is loyalty.
07:23I'm a very loyal person and I think Manny is as well.
07:27And it's something that really, you know, resonates deeply and he takes his job serious.
07:31Maybe that's another thing.
07:32I take my job serious.
07:33If I focus on something that I want to do and in this job, you know, what I do as an actor, I commit.
07:39I don't know how to do it at 50% or 75%.
07:41It's like I'm all in or I'm not doing it.
07:44And so that kind of maybe seems like the vibe that Manny had as well.
