00:00The story begins with a young man named Minjae, who was born into a poor family and has been
00:09nothing but a burden to them. To make matters worse, he suffered from a severe illness as a
00:15child, forcing his father to donate one of his kidneys to save him. His mother, desperate to
00:21afford his treatment, borrowed money from various sources, including the bank. As a result, their
00:27family's financial situation spiraled into chaos. The bank's relentless harassment only added to
00:34Minjae's overwhelming guilt. Minjae felt deceived by the bank's seemingly low-interest loan,
00:41which turned out to be a trap leading to endless hardship. Fueled by resentment towards the bank
00:46that had tricked his family, Minjae reached out to a fraud syndicate led by a man named Sook Go.
00:52His plan was to drain the bank's funds with Sook Go's help, as the syndicate specialized in
00:57deception and manipulation. At the same time, Minjae would pose as a young CEO in desperate need of
01:04capital to keep his business afloat, making it easier for the bank to approve his loan. The bank,
01:11however, issued a stern warning. This was a high-risk loan. If Minjae failed to repay it,
01:18he could face imprisonment. However, Minjae was no naive fool. While Sook Go was an expert in
01:25manipulation, Minjae was even more cunning. Once the loan was approved, he immediately transferred
01:32the money to his friend, Jin Hyuk, and then pretended that the bank had rejected his request.
01:37He claimed his account balance remained at zero. This enraged Sook Go's associate,
01:43Kite, who grabbed Minjae's phone and called the bank himself. What Kite didn't realize was that Minjae had
01:50already outsmarted them. He had arranged for his friend, Hyesoon, to pose as a bank employee.
01:57Fooled by her act, Kite had no choice but to give up, allowing Minjae to walk away with the money he
02:04had taken, his revenge finally complete. Now in possession of a large sum, Minjae, along with Hyesoon
02:11and Jin Hyuk, sought to lighten his family's burden through their shared business, selling counterfeit
02:17luxury watches. Each timepiece Minjae sold was a near-perfect replica, indistinguishable from the
02:24real thing. Their supplier was an elderly man who owned a watch shop, where Minjae invested his stolen
02:31money in purchasing 30 dozen fake Rolex watches. However, what Minjae didn't know was that Hyesoon
02:39had been harboring her own deceitful intentions all along. Elsewhere, Kite reported Minjae's
02:45supposed failure to secure the loan. But Sook Go, a seasoned con man, immediately realized that
02:52Kite had been duped. This revelation infuriated Jiwon, Sook Go's partner, who did not hesitate to lash out
02:59at Kite for losing their money. However, the situation quickly took a turn when Sook Go and Jiwon
03:06managed to track down Minjae's accomplice, Jin Hyuk. There, Jiwon was seen mercilessly beating Jin Hyuk,
03:14leaving Minjae with no choice but to surrender and go with them. Recognizing Minjae's intelligence,
03:21Sook Go made him an unexpected offer, a position within their syndicate. However, Jiwon was clearly
03:28displeased with Minjae's presence in their group. But since Sook Go was convinced that Minjae could
03:34bring them even greater profits, Jiwon had no choice but to comply. It was also in this moment that Minjae
03:42learned of Kite's demotion, a clear warning to everyone that mistakes were not tolerated in their
03:47world. Knowing that Kite worked as an enforcer, Minjae approached him one evening with a proposal. Minjae
03:55had the brains and Kite had the brawn, a perfect combination for this line of work. Moreover, Minjae felt
04:02sympathy for Kite's current situation. Seeing the logic in Minjae's offer, Kite accepted without
04:10hesitation. The next morning, the two began working together. With Minjae's intelligence and Kite's
04:16strength, they quickly gained new clients. Their successful partnership also significantly
04:22boosted Sook Go's business, to the point that Jiwon's subordinate, Song Wee, grew envious. Minjae was now
04:30regarded as Sook Go's golden boy. That same day, a client arrived seeking assistance. Sook Go assigned
04:38Song Wee to handle the request. However, due to the client's carelessness and Song Wee's panic,
04:44the operation ended in failure. Furious, Jiwon lashed out at Song Wee, and the group had no choice but to
04:52flee as the police were closing in on them. Shortly after, reports of fraud had already reached law
04:58enforcement, and Inspector Chun Ha was eager to investigate the case. However, his two colleagues
05:05showed little interest, leaving Chun Ha to pursue the case alone. Recently, while attending university,
05:12Minjae noticed a police officer lingering around campus. However, he reassured his friend that he would
05:19ensure their safety. True to his word, the next morning, Minjae spotted Inspector Chun Ha posting a
05:26wanted notice with Minjae's name on it. Realizing the danger, Minjae quickly disguised himself as an
05:33ordinary student, successfully deceiving Chun Ha, who unknowingly handed him a stack of flyers to
05:39distribute. It turned out that the client who failed to secure a loan had reported the syndicate to Chun Ha,
05:45but she only remembered a few details, including Minjae's nickname. Because of this, Chun Ha was still
05:52uncertain about the true identity of a mastermind behind the operation. Seeing how rapidly their business was
05:59expanding, Jiwon proposed that Suk Go partner with the bank to further their operations. However,
06:06this went against Suk Go's principles. He had founded his business to help those in financial distress.
06:12Collaborating with the bank, known for its high interest loans, would only exploit their clients
06:18rather than assist them. Meanwhile, Chun Ha returned to the police station, where the same client
06:24from before filed another report. This time, she claimed that Suk Go's syndicate had contacted her
06:30again. Without hesitation, Chun Ha seized her phone and managed to track down the exact location of Suk Go's
06:37office. Upon arrival, Chun Ha found Suk Go at the office and immediately questioned him about his
06:44fraudulent activities. However, Suk Go denied any wrongdoing, insisting that Chun Ha had the wrong place.
06:51Before Chun Ha could act, Suk Go cleverly distracted him and made a quick escape.
06:57It was later revealed that Song Wee, driven by jealousy toward Minjae, had orchestrated the entire situation.
07:05He had bribed the client into exposing the company's secrets. Realizing that things were spiraling out of control,
07:12Suk Go decided it was time to retire. He no longer wanted to live in the shadows.
07:17Before stepping away, he handed over his client database to Minjae, hoping that Minjae would
07:23build his own company, one that operated on better principles. Without hesitation, Minjae called
07:30upon several of Suk Go's most trusted associates. The first was Hong Yun, a financial expert who had been
07:37Suk Go's right hand for years. Next, they needed someone skilled in forgery, and that was where Gene
07:43Hyuk came in. Known for his incredible artistic talent, Gene Hyuk could replicate a Van Gogh painting
07:50worth $400 billion using nothing more than his younger siblings' crayons. Determined to modernize
07:57their operations, Minjae refused to rely on traditional methods. Instead, he launched an online loan website,
08:05making it easier for clients to apply for bank loans through their platform. As days passed, Minjae's new
08:12business flourished, attracting more and more clients. His wealth grew exponentially, and he
08:18regularly sent money to his family as a way to ease his guilt for the burdens he had caused them. In a short
08:24time, his business amassed over 400,000 members. To show gratitude to his three loyal friends, Hong Yun,
08:32Gene Hyuk, and Ki Tae, Minjae gifted each of them a brand new Mercedes, free of any loans or waiting periods.
08:40However, instead of excitement, their expressions seemed indifferent. Perhaps the cars weren't to their
08:47taste, or maybe they were troubled by the changes in Minjae. Meanwhile, Jiwon and Songwe had partnered
08:53with a bank and founded a financial institution called Mirai. With vast financial backing, Jiwon swiftly
09:00accumulated massive wealth, eliminating competition by any means necessary, even if it meant playing dirty.
09:07Minjae lamented the fact that Jiwon had abandoned their old ways. As time passed, the aggressive
09:14tactics of Jiwon's company began to take a severe toll. Fraud and debt levels in Korea skyrocketed,
09:21pushing thousands of people into financial ruin. Protesters gathered daily outside Jiwon's office,
09:28but as impoverished individuals with no power, they could do little more than voice their grievances.
09:34True to the saying, money reveals a person's true nature. With his growing fortune, Minjae became
09:41increasingly arrogant, dismissing the advice of his closest allies. To make matters worse,
09:47he reconnected with Hae Soon, the woman who had once betrayed him. Confident in her abilities and charm,
09:54Minjae believed that with Hae Soon by his side, their business could run even more smoothly.
10:00Meanwhile, Chunha had finally gathered solid evidence on Minjae. He obtained Minjae's photo
10:07and academic records, confirming that the young man he had encountered before was indeed the one
10:12he had been searching for. However, Chunha's colleagues continued to downplay the severity of the case,
10:19arguing that fraud was nowhere near as serious as murder. They urged him to approach the matter calmly.
10:25What they failed to understand was that many deaths were linked to financial ruin. People driven to
10:31despair by insurmountable debt often saw no way out. If this syndicate continued to operate unchecked,
10:39how many more lives would be destroyed? Despite Chunha's passionate argument, his words fell on deaf ears.
10:46Determined to find Minjae, Chunha repeatedly visited his family home. But Minjae's parents,
10:53weary of his persistent questioning, refused to disclose their son's whereabouts. They did everything
10:59in their power to drive Chunha away. However, when Minjae's father coughed,
11:05Chunha became convinced that Minjae was inside. Taking a bold risk, Chunha attempted to climb over the
11:12house's gate. But before he could get any further, two security guards intercepted him. They demanded to see
11:19his official warrant. But without one, Chunha had no choice but to retreat, giving Minjae the perfect
11:26opportunity to escape right under his nose. Elsewhere, Minjae's greed continued to grow under Heesun's
11:33influence. He devised a plan to use clients' insurance policies as collateral for their services, further
11:40tightening his grip on the industry. His friends' warnings no longer mattered to him. His mind was consumed
11:47by insatiable ambition. Upon returning to his office, Minjae found Jiwon waiting for him. It was no
11:54surprise, Jiwon had grown envious of Minjae's rapidly expanding business. With a menacing glare,
12:02Jiwon issued a warning. If Minjae dared to interfere with his business, he would not live to regret it. Yet,
12:10Minjae merely smiled, claiming that his only goal was to help those in need. Jiwon grew increasingly
12:16frustrated as Minjae started acting like Sook Goh in front of him. Sensing an opportunity,
12:23Songwe secretly stole Minjae's customer database and transferred it to Jiwon's company. As Minjae lay
12:30battered and bruised, Jiwon issued a final warning. If Minjae dared to interfere with his business again,
12:38he wouldn't hesitate to eliminate him. Heesun, seeing Jiwon as the more promising option,
12:44chose to side with him, abandoning Minjae when he had nothing left. With his business crumbling,
12:51possibly beyond recovery, Minjae turned to Sook Goh for help. However, Sook Goh refused,
12:58having already retired from the game. To him, money no longer held any value. He already had more than
13:05enough to last a lifetime. But Minjae, now desperate, begged for his assistance, knowing his
13:12only chance at survival depended on salvaging what remained of his business. Pitying him, Sook Goh
13:19arranged a meeting with Baekho, a bank executive who had refused to work with Jiwon. Apparently,
13:26Baekho had disapproved of Jiwon's exploitative methods, believing they clashed with his principles.
13:32However, if Minjae wanted Baekho's help, he had a promise to leave this world behind as soon as
13:39possible. Sook Goh's goodwill, however, quickly vanished when he discovered that Minjae had
13:45been using customer insurance policies as collateral. Furious, Sook Goh confronted him. But Minjae stubbornly
13:53defended his actions, arguing that insurance was no different from any other form of collateral. To him,
13:59they were the same. In response, Sook Goh grabbed a boiling kettle and spilled its scalding contents
14:06toward Minjae, who instinctively jumped back to avoid it. Seeing this, Sook Goh immediately asks why
14:13he flinched since it was just water. Sook Goh further explains that something as seemingly harmless as
14:19water can cause severe burns and long-lasting scars. That, he said, was the true value of insurance.
14:27It was meant to protect people, not exploit them. His words hit Minjae like a dagger. He realized he
14:34had become no different from Jiwon. He had abandoned everything Sook Goh once taught him. Sook Goh then
14:41bid him farewell, urging him to surrender and take responsibility for his actions. If Minjae refused to
14:49change, there was no point in continuing down this path. Meanwhile, Minjae narrowly escaped Inspector
14:56Chunha's pursuit. Determined to find his family, he tracked down their new address, only to discover they
15:03were now living in a run-down neighborhood on the outskirts of the city. When Minjae saw his mother,
15:09his anger immediately peaked and asked why she was living there even though he had sent her money
15:15every month. But his mother had long known the truth behind his wealth. She had never touched a
15:21single cent of the money he sent. To her, money was meaningless if it came from wrongdoing. However,
15:28Minjae, still blinded by his own beliefs, insisted that he only wanted to give his parents a better life.
15:35He knew they had fallen into poverty because of him. He knew his father had donated a kidney,
15:41leaving him unable to work just to save his life. Minjae refused to let regret consume him. Then,
15:48his father appeared, noticing Minjae's well-dressed appearance. Instead of scolding him,
15:55his father smiled proudly, saying that knowing his son was living well was already more than enough for
16:00them. Sook Goh's words, along with those of his parents, finally began to sink in. Minjae slowly
16:08realized how deeply money had corrupted him. He finally understood that his business was hurting
16:14countless people. Determined to set things right, he made a plan to put an end to it all.
16:20Using his intelligence, Minjae hacked into Chunha's email, sending crucial banking records to help
16:26retrieve the stolen customer data. Then, one by one, he sought out the victims who had suffered under
16:32Jiwon and his subordinates. The devastation was worse than he imagined. Some had been brutally beaten by
16:39Songwe, their faces disfigured beyond recognition. Others lay in hospital beds, barely clinging to life
16:47after enduring relentless torture from Jiwon's men. Knowing this, Minjae shuddered at the thought,
16:54if he hadn't met Sook Goh and spoken to his parents, he might have become just like Jiwon, consumed entirely by
17:02greed. Determined to atone for his mistakes, Minjae set a plan in motion, one that would allow him to
17:09make things right, no matter the cost. Meanwhile, Sook Goh was being interrogated by the police,
17:15but when asked about Minjae, he chose to remain silent. Frustrated, one of the officers struck him,
17:22prompting Chunha to step in and break up the situation, insisting that they needed to handle things
17:28peacefully. As Sook Goh was being led toward his holding cell, Chunha suddenly changed direction.
17:35He discreetly handed Sook Goh a key to his handcuffs and took him to an abandoned building. There,
17:41Chunha inflicted an injury upon himself to create a distraction and urged Sook Goh to escape immediately.
17:48It was revealed that Chunha had secretly conspired with Minjae. Before this, Minjae had
17:55voluntarily turned himself in, confessing to all his crimes. However, he pleaded with Chunha for one
18:03last opportunity, an opportunity to put an end to everything once and for all. If only Minjae were
18:10arrested, the fraudulent syndicate would continue to thrive. Many powerful corporations would still
18:16be out there, preying on innocent people. Therefore, Minjae convinced Chunha to help him go after the
18:22true mastermind behind it all, Jiwon. Standing before Sook Goh, Minjae expressed his resolve. He wished
18:30to carry out one final mission, not for personal gain, but to atone for his mistakes. His goal was to
18:37bring down Jiwon and finally choose a better life. With that, Sook Goh went to meet Jiwon at a restaurant.
18:44Meanwhile, Jiwon was shocked to see his old friend standing before him. However, Sook Goh wasn't there to borrow
18:51money. Instead, he informed Jiwon that someone was waiting for him in the next room. Inside,
18:58Beko sat across from an empty chair, ready to propose a business deal. He introduced Jiwon to a
19:05new opportunity, the funeral home loan business. Beko explained that it was an incredibly profitable
19:11venture with limitless returns. At first, Jiwon was skeptical, sensing something suspicious about both Sook Goh
19:19and Beko. However, the lucrative offer was too enticing to resist. And in the end, Jiwon agreed to
19:27the deal. Unbeknownst to him, everything had been orchestrated by Minjae. Not only that, Minjae had
19:34also begun reaching out to all his former allies who were now working under Jiwon, Hongyun, Jinhyuk,
19:40Ki Tae, and even Hyesoon, whom he had once trusted the most. He devised a strategy to throw Jiwon's
19:48entire operation into chaos. When Jiwon finally realized that he had been deceived, he immediately
19:54reported Minjae to two police officers, both of whom happened to be Chunha's colleagues. Meanwhile,
20:01Sook Goh had undergone a complete transformation, dressing and styling himself to closely resemble Jiwon.
20:08Accompanied by Jinhyuk, he set off to meet with the funeral home's owner. Without hesitation, Sook Goh,
20:15posing as Jiwon, finalized the agreement, stating that he had officially purchased the funeral home
20:22and would manage it alongside Beko. However, the owner hesitated, fearing that Jiwon's bank would exploit
20:29the establishment for illicit activities once again. Elsewhere, Jiwon rushed into his office, only to be
20:36confronted by Ki Tae and his men, resulting in an all-out brawl. As Jiwon entered the room, he found it
20:43completely empty. His phone rang, and on the other end was Hyesoon, informing him that all the money from
20:50the office and the accounts had been transferred elsewhere. She coldly told Jiwon that he had lost everything.
20:57When Jiwon returned to his office, he was met by Minjae, who was already waiting for him. Minjae spoke with an air of
21:05finality, saying that syndicates like theirs were built on the desperation of those struggling to survive.
21:11They preyed on people who had sacrificed everything just for a chance at a better life. And for that
21:17reason, Jiwon needed to take responsibility, not just by going to prison, but by rotting in hell for his sins.
21:25Minjae's words sent Jiwon into a frenzy, pushing him to the edge of madness.
21:31Overcome with rage, Jiwon lunged at Minjae, intending to end him right then and there.
21:37However, before he could do anything, Chunha arrived, just in time, placing Jiwon under arrest on multiple
21:44charges. Embezzlement, corruption, fraud, bribery, and even murder. Jiwon realized that this was truly the
21:52end for him, and no amount of struggle could change that. With Jiwon captured, Minjae's journey was also
21:59coming to a close. It was time to walk away from everything, but he refused to leave things
22:04unresolved. Time passed, and Jiwon and his entire syndicate were eventually convicted,
22:10facing severe sentences for their crimes. Meanwhile, Minjae and his allies stood before a truck filled
22:17with cash, the stolen wealth taken from Jiwon's bank. With the help of Hyesoon and Hongyun, they had
22:24managed to switch Jiwon's real bank book with a forged one created by Jin Hyuk. Additionally,
22:31Hyesoon had secretly copied Jiwon's fingerprint, allowing them access to his vault. Minjae then
22:37set out on his final task, returning the stolen money to Jiwon's victims. He knew all too well the
22:44agony of being cast aside, of living in poverty, of struggling just to survive. That pain was suffocating,
22:52and so, in an act of redemption, he decided to return the money to those who had suffered.
22:58This was the most humane thing he could do. With this final act, Minjae resolved to leave his dark
23:04past behind and put an end to his life of crime once and for all. More a lesson from the story,
23:10if you borrow money from a bank to scam the bank, don't forget to also scam your friends. Otherwise,
23:16you'll end up with fake Rolexes and real problems. And remember, even if you're the smartest crook in a
23:22room, boiling water will always remind you that insurance is not a toy.
