00:00A law lecturer from University Technology Mara Sha'alam today expressed disappointment over the actions of the students involved in the use of Ku Klux Klan costumes as well as the university's response to the matter.

00:14Acknowledging the assignment's connection to the Contemporary Global and Legal Issues course, Abdul Muwez Abdul Razak nevertheless questioned the student's decision to stage a march at night dressed in KKK robes.

00:26In a series of tweets, he said he gets second-hand embarrassment from this and questioned how the actions of the students, the lecturers, and the university were even allowed.

00:37He also condemned the students involved who are now threatening those who exposed them, adding that students affected by the threats can DM him and he'll do everything in his power to help.

00:47Earlier today, police confirmed they were investigating a viral video showing UITM Denkel's students wearing KKK robes, following a report raising concerns about racial discrimination.

00:58Meanwhile, the university had defended the students by stating that the activity was conducted within an academic framework.
