Part 6 of 6 of the Andrew Davies children's drama. Billy finds himself in the TV set playing Thunderbolt Thorpe in the World Snooker Championships, but things start to go dangerously out of control. And Billy is even more concerned when sister Linda voices her own misgivings about Alphonso Bonzo when she comes home early from the disco and mentions how Alphonso wished to be her brother. But Billy has made a fatal error in forgetting to turn off the TV set, and before he knows it he has put himself and his family in real peril to the sinister powers of Alphonso Bonzo...

00:56culminating in a 147 maximum clearance.

01:06Hey!

01:36My lords, ladies and gentlemen, quiet please for this special challenge match
01:55for the World Single Frame Snooker Championship
01:59between the reigning champion Terence Thunderbolt 4
02:06And the young challenger, Billy Webb
02:13This is indeed a young challenger tonight
02:15Ten years younger than Alex Hurricane Higgins when he first won the World Championship
02:20Thorpe has made a terrible blunder of that
02:25Four to Webb and a free ball
02:27Good luck, Billy Webb
02:29This free ball means that in theory the world record break could be beaten
02:34But not much chance of that tonight, I should think
02:37So he's taking the brown as an extra red
02:41And he's plotted it with perfect position on the flag
02:45One
02:49Eight
02:50And the Thunderbolt has been given notice that here is a young opponent who can match his formidable skills
02:58Nine
03:08Sixteen
03:09And this astonishing young man has taken black with every red
03:16Not forgetting that first free ball
03:23A hundred and forty-two
03:24And the impossibility is dawning in our minds here at the World Single Frame Snooker Championships
03:30That we might be going to see the legendary 1-5-5 break
03:32A hundred and forty-eight
03:33And the impossibility is dawning in our minds here at the World Single Frame Snooker Championships
03:37That we might be going to see the legendary 1-5-5 break
03:44A hundred and forty-eight
03:46A hundred and forty-eight
03:47And the impossibility is dawning in our minds here at the World Single Frame Snooker Championships
03:52That we might be going to see the legendary 1-5-5 break
03:56A hundred and forty-eight
03:58A hundred and forty-eight
03:59A hundred and fifty-five
04:13A hundred and fifty-five
04:15And the frame
04:16And we have seen the impossible hitter
04:19But young Billy Webb on his first visit to the World Single Frame Snooker Championships
04:23Has beaten the world record break
04:26And here comes the thunderbolt to congratulate his young opponent
04:31Oh dear, he seems understandably and difficult in motion
04:56That didn't happen, did it?
05:01Couldn't have
05:03I must have dropped off or something
05:06But...
05:08What am I doing in this fancy suitning?
05:11Am I dreaming?
05:14Hard to tell
05:16I don't like this, Fred
05:18I want it to all stop
05:20I just want things to get back to normal
05:22What's that?
05:23Linda?
05:24That you?
05:25Yeah?
05:26Funny
05:27That's only for her
05:29But he was at the snooker game
05:31So where could he?
05:32Funny
05:33Let's go and see how she got on
05:34Come on
05:35Linda
05:37What?
05:38Can I come in?
05:39What for?
05:40Just for a minute
05:41What do you want then?
05:42You alright, Linda?
05:43Yeah, of course
05:44Why shouldn't I be?
05:45I don't know
05:46Why shouldn't I be?
05:47I don't know
05:48You're back early
05:49So what about it?
05:50Did Alfonso bring you back?
05:51Yeah
05:52What's it going on?
05:54You're back?
05:55Yeah
05:56What's it going on?
05:57I don't know
05:58I don't know
05:59You're back early
06:00So what about it?
06:01Did Alfonso bring you back?
06:02Yeah
06:03What do you want, then?
06:06You all right, Linda?
06:08Yeah, of course. Where shouldn't I be?
06:11I don't know. You're back early.
06:13It's all about it.
06:15Did Alfonso bring you back?
06:17Yeah.
06:18Wasn't it any good, then?
06:20All right.
06:22Did he... I mean, was he with you all the time, like?
06:25What do you mean?
06:27At the disco. He didn't leave you or anything.
06:29No.
06:31Oh.
06:33I'm not going out with him again.
06:36Why not? Wasn't it any good, then?
06:39Billy.
06:41Wasn't he any good at dancing after all, then?
06:43He was good at dancing, all right.
06:45What was it, then?
06:47Nothing.
06:48Oh, come on, Linda.
06:50I just don't want to go out with him again.
06:54Did you like him?
06:56I don't know.
06:59He made me feel all peculiar.
07:02He kept saying he wanted to be my brother.
07:05But you got a brother.
07:06I know.
07:07I'm your brother.
07:08I know.
07:09You don't want another brother, do you?
07:11No way.
07:12Good.
07:13One brother is more than enough.
07:15Good.
07:16Hey, what's that you're wearing?
07:18Where did you get that?
07:19Oh, a silk again. Sort of a swap.
07:22And don't you look sexy in it.
07:24Better not let pretty Sha see you wearing that.
07:26She'd go bananas.
07:27I'll wrap up, Linda.
07:28I wish you'd stop talking about pretty Sha.
07:30All right, then.
07:32My little brother.
07:34He's ever so sweet.
07:36Get off.
07:37Go on, then.
07:38Go to bed.
07:40And take this dog with you.
07:42Go on.
07:43Come on, Fred.
07:45Come on, Fred.
07:52I was worried about you, you know.

08:13And he's just as bad.
08:14Have you seen that picture of Marilyn Mabey without her vest on?
08:17He's got taxed up in his shed.
08:19What's it all about, Fred?
08:21Who knows?
08:22And who cares, eh?
08:23You and me, eh, Fred?
08:25You and me against the rest of the world.
08:28And no more shops of Alfonso Bonzo.
08:31He's too rich for our bud, that bloke.
08:33Don't know what that means, actually.
08:35Sometimes I think I don't know blinking anything.
08:38I'm knackered, Fred.
08:40I had no idea Snoop was such an exhausting game.
08:45Dad could break that, though, eh?
08:47Eh?
08:48Nah.
08:49I must have been...
08:50I must have been here all the time.
08:52Dreaming.
08:53But how could I?
08:55Too tired.
08:57Think about it tomorrow.
08:59There was something I should have done with a TV set.
09:02I can't remember.
09:04Oh, well.
09:11What's that?
09:13Sounds like they're having a party or something.
09:16I thought they're just gonna watch the...
09:19Oh.
09:21Oh, no.
09:23I think we'd better go downstairs and have a look, Fred.
09:26Come on, Fred.
09:27Come on, Fred.
09:28Come on.
09:29They're delivering.
09:30That's it.
09:31That's it.
09:32That's it.
09:33That's it.
09:34Wow.
09:35What have they done to the front room?
09:36Looks like a saloon in the Western.
09:37Looks like the saloon in Jewel at Passion Creek, Fred.
09:38It is the saloon in Jewel at Passion Creek.
09:39Oh, no.
09:40I left the 3D button switched on.
09:41What do you think, Fred?
09:42Shall we go in?
09:43Shall we go in?
09:44Shall we go in?
09:45Let's go in.
09:46Let's go in.
09:48Let's go, Fred!
09:51Let's go in.
09:52There's a sh on there and some chatter there.
09:54Why is it, não?
09:55Sorry.
09:56We gonna look for the saloon...
09:57Oh, really?
09:58You might not to see what...
09:59...some...

10:06Shall we go in?
10:33Soda pop for me and a cow pie for the dog.
10:36How's your pie?
10:49Not bad.
10:51Hey, are we dreaming all this is happening?
10:53Search me, partner.
10:54That wouldn't take long. Haven't got any clothes on.
11:00This is all right, passion creepers.
11:03Hey! There's Mum! Mum!
11:07I can't hear them.
11:09Who's that bloke she's with?
11:12Seen him before somewhere.
11:13He's not from Spott Street, I don't think that.
11:16He's rock savage!
11:18But who's Dad talking to?
11:23Marilyn, maybe.
11:31Hey, Dad.
11:32Hi, Billy. This is Marilyn.
11:36I know who it is.
11:37Look, there's rock savage over there.
11:38What's he gonna do when he sees you talking to his girlfriend?
11:42That don't bother me none.
11:44I know how to look up at meself.
11:46But no one can fly rock savage.
11:49Don't you believe it, son.
11:50I know what I'm talking about.
11:55Linda?
11:56Oh, hi, Billy.
11:57What are you doing down here?
11:58It's hours past your bedtime.
11:59Better get out before they throw you out.
12:00Look at the notice.
12:02I'm having a go of poker with Alfonso Bonzo.
12:04Hey, Billy Webb, my very best boy for business.
12:05Not doing any more business with you.
12:06So I play with your sister instead.
12:07You're not planning for money, are you?
12:08No, we're playing for love.
12:09If he wins, he can be my brother instead of you.
12:10But he won't play fair.
12:11It's all right.
12:12I've got a brilliant job.
12:13I'm having a go of poker.
12:14I'm having a go of poker with Alfonso Bonzo.
12:16I'm having a go of poker with Alfonso Bonzo.
12:18Hey, Billy Webb, my very best boy for business.
12:22Not doing any more business with you?
12:23So I play with your sister instead.
12:26You're not planning for money, are you?
12:28No, we're playing for love.
12:30If he wins, he can be my brother instead of you.
12:33But you won't play fair.
12:35It's all right.
12:36I've got a brilliant hand.
12:48See?
12:49See, I told you.
12:50It's all Lee's fault.
12:51You see, the TV set, the 3D effect.
12:53All you've got to do is turn the 3D off.
12:55So where is it?
12:56Where's the TV set?
12:57Why, Billy Webb, this is the set.
12:59Nor are we out of it.
13:04Webb!
13:05You talking to me?
13:08Do you know who I am?
13:17I know what I hear about you, cowboy.
13:20And what did you hear about me, sud-buster?
13:21I hear you.
13:22You're a low-dan, no-good, stinking, dirty, rotten coward.
13:36Prove it!
13:37No!
13:38No!
13:39No!
13:40No!
13:41No!

13:56No!
13:57No!
13:58Oh, Fred. I thought I was. I thought we were wrong. It was horrible.
14:06I don't understand, Fred. Last night, my mum, my dad, my sister. At least you're all right.
14:34You got out before the shooting started, so come down with me, Fred. I don't feel like going down on my own.
15:04I don't feel like I was. I don't feel like I was. I don't feel like I was.
15:16Morning, Dad. Huh? What's the matter? Look like he's been up all night. He has. What for?
15:33Let's just call it late night movies. That Italian television set. It'll have to go back. There's something wrong with it.
15:41I'll show it on the paper. Yeah, well, he wants to come back and put it in his vein.
15:45What happened? I don't know. I don't know what happened. And even if I did know, I couldn't explain it.
15:52All I know is I don't know more of it. That's all. Was it something to do with Fredy?
15:57Yeah. Something like that. He can take his set and disappear.
16:02And I don't want our old one back either. He might have done something to that, too.
16:06Well, it's when you let him get round you, that's where the trouble starts.
16:09Oh, he had such a lovely smile, too. What do you mean, Mum?
16:12If you see that Italian again, you're not to talk to him. Understand?
16:16Yes. Promise? Yes.
16:29I was dead early going to school that morning.
16:36Did I miss him or so, Dad? No.
16:38Partly it was getting up so early. Partly it was not wanting to be there when Alfonso came round for his TV.
16:51Hello, Mum. Hello, Billy.
16:54But however early you got to school, Nigel Creamer and Winston Clyde would be there first.
16:59That is because they were football crazy.
17:01Absolutely incredible save from Clyde. Look at this.
17:04And he takes it on the volley. He turns. He checks. He swerves. And he shoots.
17:09Oh, yes! It's another big save from Winston Clyde.
17:12Oh, come on. Come on.
17:14And Queen Wind sets again. Beats one man, two men, and shoots.
17:18And it's another absolutely incredible save from Winston Clyde. Look at this.
17:22Oh, just come on. Here we go again.
17:24Here we go again.
17:25It would not take much of this to drive a boy mad with boredom.
17:28And I had to do something to stop me thinking about Alfonso Bonzo.
17:38Against the school rules, of course. But everyone did it.
17:41And it was too easy if you just walked straight.
17:43So we had this series of variations.
17:49Good morning, Billy Webb. Bright and early today, I see.
17:52Well, it's a lovely day for business.
17:54I'm not talking to you.
17:56So how you like the TV set?
17:573D button put you in the picture.
18:00I think you have a lot of fun with that, no?
18:02That was a dirty trick, that was.
18:04Hey, Alfonso didn't mean no harm.
18:07Maybe he go a little bit far sometimes,
18:09but all Alfonso wants is make people happy, you know?
18:13You can go and make someone else happy, alright?
18:15Hey, Billy Webb, this is your friend here.
18:18I don't want to make other boys happy.
18:20I want to make you happy.
18:21Billy Webb, the aces swapping boy.
18:24Alfonso's special boy for business.
18:27Push off.
18:28Hey, listen to me.
18:30I got one more little swap for you.
18:32The last exchange of all.
18:35You want to know what it is?
18:37No.
18:38Hey, Billy Webb.
18:41This swap I wouldn't offer to any old boy.
18:43This swap a really aces swap.
18:46This swap just for you.
18:51What is it?
18:53You for me.
18:55Me for you.
18:57You for me, me for you, what?
18:59My life for your life.
19:01You have my life.
19:03I have your life.
19:04You be me.
19:05Go anywhere.
19:06Do anything.
19:07Make anything happen you like.
19:09I be you.
19:10Nice teacher.
19:11Nice mama, papa, nice sister.
19:14Bacon sandwiches in the kitchen.
19:16Nice idea, no?
19:18If we did that swap, I wouldn't be me anymore.
19:22I'd be you.
19:23Hey, you catch on quick, Billy Webb.
19:26Billy?
19:27What?
19:28Who are you talking to?
19:30No one.
19:31Sorry.
19:32No swap.
19:33Hey, what's the matter with you?
19:34You're crazy or what?
19:35You be Alfonso Bonzo, you have one brilliant time.
19:38You live like a king.
19:39You want to live in this dirty slum for the rest of your life, stupido?
19:42You seem to bet in this slum all right.
19:45Push off.
19:46No swap, Alfonso.
19:47Please, Billy Webb.
19:50Just for an hour.
19:52Just for a minute.
19:54Let me be you.
19:56Have a mama, a papa, and my sister warm kitchen.
20:01Be real again.
20:03Alfonso, he don't like being an exchange no more.
20:08Were you somebody else?
20:11Before you was Alfonso Bonzo.
20:14Someone like me.
20:16Did you do an exchange?
20:18Just for ten seconds.
20:20Lenses.
20:21I swear you.
20:23No.
20:24Please.
20:25I couldn't risk it.
20:30Okay, Billy Webb.
20:33No hard feelings.
20:37We did some nice business, you and me.
20:40I go now.
20:42And you don't see Alfonso Bonzo no more.
20:45Maybe you'll be sorry.
20:48Maybe not.
20:50I won't be sorry.
20:52I'll sort of miss you in a way, though.
20:55Arrivederci, Billy Webb.
20:57Break a leg.
20:59What do you mean, break a leg?
21:01It's what we say in the show business.
21:03It means good luck.
21:05Oh.
21:06Right.
21:07Same to you.
21:08Bye.
21:14Hey, Billy Webb.
21:16Remember Alfonso Bonzo.
21:18Billy.
21:19You need to come on.
21:21Break a leg.
21:23And that's how I got this.
21:24Golly.
21:25What a story.
21:26You going to put it in your paper, then?
21:27No.
21:28I'd never get me editor to believe it.
21:29I mean, we haven't got any evidence.
21:30If you'd kept the bag, or the dog, or the telly, we'd be all right.
21:33But as it is, we're not going to be famous after all.
21:36Never mind.
21:37I like a low profile, then.
21:38Hmm.
