00:00The late Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, fondly known as Bakla, was a deeply forgiving leader,
00:07his former advisor wrote in a social media tribute. In an Instagram post, Kalimullah
00:12Hassan said Malaysia may not have been kind enough to the former prime minister, noting
00:17that Abdullah had the ability to forgive people so easily. Kalimullah also said Abdullah was
00:23never judgmental and was deeply aware of his own shortcomings, as he would never cast the first
00:28stone. According to him, Abdullah strongly believed that God had given Malaysia its multi-ethnic
00:34and multi-religious structure to spur the country to greater heights. Separately, former
00:39federal minister and Gurrakan president Ko Sukun recalled that when Abdullah was appointed
00:44education minister, he was instrumental in seeking solutions for issues related to Chinese education.
00:51The former Penang chief minister also said when Abdullah was appointed as prime minister in
00:552003, he approved and launched several important projects in support of the socio-economic development
