00:00I'm Josh from Heavy Hitter. I'm Austin from Heavy Hitter. This is Digital Tour Bus. So yeah,
00:15we're on tour right now with 156 Silence Victims Falling With Scissors. We've done a few weeks
00:22with Monochromatic Black, Salt Wound, Wilt Wither, and Banged Out. And this tour has been
00:30beyond expectation I think for everybody as a part of this package in terms of
00:35numbers, just how we're doing on every other aspect of the road. We're a very
00:40well-oiled machine. We got it locked in. Every show has been amazing in terms of
00:45mosh, performances, and everything else man. It's been nuts. I think aside from
00:50anything, anything getting us sick, it's a winter tour. So I think a few people have
00:56had to overcome illness quite a bit on this road. I think everybody was sick
01:02at some point on this road. But otherwise, yeah, this tour has been nothing but
01:06success. Best time I've ever had on the road. Let's take you on a tour of the van.
01:09Let's get in this joint. Alright, so driving responsibilities, we all drive. We take
01:14shifts generally anywhere from three, five, six hours depending on the drive.
01:20But yeah, all of us take turns. It's only two people, a co-pilot and a driver, and
01:26the two other people are sleeping, and then they switch off, and it's just teams
01:29like that. Usually driver picks the music as well as having the directions. Of
01:33course, that's the main focus is getting to the next destination. Music is very
01:38varied within all of us. I'm all over the place with like death metal, deathcore,
01:42metalcore. I think the same, I think that follows for everybody, but it's very
01:46specific niches of it. Like Austin loves post-hardcore shit. Dane is very into
01:52Christcore. Chris, on the other hand, our bassist, he's very into like weird shit.
01:58Chat pile. Like Apex Twin. Fucking yeah, he loves scrams and like I think his big thing is like just OG
02:05metalcore. So we all vibe. But usually I think it's safe to say I'm the only one that listens to music by record,
02:13whereas everybody else is just shuffling songs in the middle of the drive. I'm like,
02:17yo, like just play the song. No, otherwise not. It's a vibe because sometimes you never
02:22expect a banger to play from anybody and then it's always, it's always a good time.
02:28He hates my playlist because I have the the 80s playlist that he hears at work every
02:32single day of his life. I love 80s music. So that's, that's like my go-to playlist for normally
02:39half the drive. There's bangers. There's bangers. There's bangers. Shout out men at work. Okay. Yes.
02:45Uh, this is bag bomb for the winter. It moisturized literally everything. I got this gnarly cut.
02:52It's been moisturizing that my face, my lips. I love this shit. My girlfriend got it for me. It's amazing,
02:58especially for winter. Uh, there is joint codes. I'm the only one that smokes weed. Everybody else,
03:05nobody else smokes weed. So I'm the only guy. And then there's various marijuana vapes. I've picked
03:11up along my travels. There's more than that. There's more than that. This is a, uh, water bottle
03:17purified and, uh, honestly it gets the fucking job done. Let me tell you. Uh, let's see what else we got
03:26here and warmers. Oh my God. This is perfect. Especially after you've blown out. We haven't used
03:31this one yet. We've been saving it for a special occasion. Maybe tonight. I don't know. We'll find
03:36out. Um, AirPods, they're not really AirPods. They're the rip off ones. I, this is Josh. This is
03:45Josh's AirPods. Yeah. No, I bought different ones. I don't even know where they're at. I think they're on
03:48the dash. He couldn't afford the real ones. Yeah. We only play death core. Okay. And then these, this is a
03:55life saver. This is what has kept me asleep for literally over a month. I don't know why,
04:01but I can lay this thing anywhere in that seat, this back bench, wherever. And, uh, yeah, I can
04:07pass the fuck out immediately. Oh, oh, notable shout out Dune. Shout out Frank Herbert. Shout out Brian
04:15Herbert. Shout out Kevin J. Anderson. Uh, I've been reading the Dune series for the last like year
04:20and some change. Uh, I'm almost done with book four out of six. I'm probably going to be reading
04:24way more of, uh, the Dune series of like the precursor books or anything like that. But,
04:30um, yeah, I'm, I'm very glad with the progress I've made so far since starting. Usually we'd find a
04:35coffee shop in the morning, get like really good coffee. And if I ever like do want to find the
04:40time to read, I'll just have alone time at the coffee shop or elsewhere, read a few chapters,
04:45maybe just one a day and, uh, yeah, just keep it at that. It's a great time to just like mellow out,
04:50be away from all the noise, just delve yourself into a universe that like I've made almost my
04:56whole personality at this point. No, but yeah, um, also, uh, quite a few multivitamins,
05:04vitamin C out of the seltzers because I can't stress enough. If anything's going to get you sick,
05:09it's going to be a winter tour where it's cold, it's snowy, your van's freezing, all this other stuff.
05:13Uh, got a few little friends of mine with me on the road. Uh, this is, uh, this is my friend Clem
05:19for, uh, for lore. This is the devourment mascot for, uh, Butcher of the Week. There are only 150
05:25of these made. Shout out, um, brutal buddies, Brad Zordrager, the pro creator of this human being.
05:33Uh, follow at Clem the Butcher on Instagram. I got a whole account of this thing's adventures,
05:37journeys, touring, et cetera. Slam shows, you know it. Um, yeah, quite a vibe.
05:44Uh, bunch of clothes. Snacks if needed are usually held here. Anything that, like, the tower, this is,
05:50this is the most important thing that we have here. This is the thing that everybody, as soon
05:54as they get the van, they need this immediately. Almost absolutely immediately. They need a charger
06:00for their vape, for their phones, for their, what do you guys got? Steam Deck. Steam Deck. There's
06:07chargers for everything here. Uh, most important tool. We can't live without this. If anything needs to
06:13be within arm's reach for entertainment, leisure, food, et cetera, is going to be within this area
06:19or on the dash, and anybody that's driving, co-piloting can just reach it, slide it to anybody
06:24in the back. It's, it's, uh, it's a little bit of a mess, of course. That's the part of touring,
06:28but it's efficient. We got it down to a science. Things are more or less organized in here amidst the
06:34chaos. Here we got Dane, guitarist of Heavy Hitter. Hi. Riff creator, riff god. Um, this is the
06:39the sleep vibe area. Uh, we usually devote two benches, one for each person. We have, uh, Chris,
06:46our bassist. He usually sleeps in the back trunk area. That's the Chris apartment back there. Yeah,
06:50we have a bunch of bedding on the bottom, and he just stacks pillows, blankets, and all his other
06:55necessities. It's practically an apartment. It's like that Joe's apartment MTV shit, minus the
07:00cockroaches. Um, for sleeping, that's about it. I, uh, somehow have down to a science sleeping in
07:09the passenger seat. Just let the thing all the way down. I have a certain pillow that, like,
07:13cradles my neck, and I just sleep with the blankets on. It's, it's, it's a vibe. We usually alternate
07:19every other few days. Me and Josh switch off from the front seat to the bench every other night. Yeah,
07:24just to have, like, pretty quality sleep on the road. It's a very important thing about being on tour,
07:29man. Just getting sleep, whether it be taking a quick nap before a set, or just making sure,
07:33like, you have a good amount of hours before the next drive in the morning, or anything of the sort.
07:38Um, yeah, but whenever we're driving, say, in a, in a good, on a day like this, uh, everybody's usually
07:45up, chilling in their designated areas, or the passenger seat, and we're all just vibing,
07:49shooting this shit about anything, really. This is, this is, this area, minus the trunk,
07:55this is where it goes down. This is where the magic happens. Yeah, so I got, uh, we got sleeping
08:01bags for this tour, because, uh, it's cold as shit. Um, so this was, I believe, Blades' idea from
08:07Nokia, who told us about this, so shout out to him. Uh, luckily, I'm pretty spoiled, so I have a bad
08:13back, so this is, like, my designated bench. Um, so thanks to the guys for that. Uh, back here, I got some
08:19heavies, shout out heavies, uh, sick headphones. Got, uh, Steam Deck, you need the video games.
08:28Got some reading material, little scripture, the original Christcore. Uh, pillow, blanket, you know,
08:35uh, more multivitamins. NyQuil, DayQuil with the honey, can't go wrong with that. And, uh, like a laundry
08:46bag and some gloves for loading in and out. So, that's it for really, uh, my space, I guess.
08:52This is the shared bench between me and Josh, so it's, like, always hectic because two people are
08:59always moving our shit. So this is my sleeping bag. Josh refused to get a sleeping bag on this one.
09:04I rocked out two blankets that actually got the job done. They're pretty long, they get the feet,
09:10they can go around, keep my feet warm. Um, and, like, again, the pillow's, like, weird shaped.
09:15There's, like, a hole in the fucking bottom because the shit's old. But it, it, again,
09:19I, I, I know what's tried and true. The good old reliable. It, it works. It's never failed for me.
09:26It's getting me sleep. It's keeping me warm. Um, yeah, I'm glad everybody else is obviously not
09:32freezing to death. They, they, they, they got their memes. But, yeah, it does get hectic,
09:37as Austin said, just because everything's switching around from, like, our bags with clothes for, like,
09:41when we shower and stuff, blankets are all over the place. So we got to, like,
09:45dig through the damn middle of the seats just to get our blankets and sleeping bag situated for
09:49whenever we switch off. But, uh, yeah, this is, uh, again, it's like all the main headquarters of
09:55where most of the contents of everything we own are. Yes. Yes. That was my sleeping bag. Here are the
10:00notorious blankets that he's talking about. This one, I believe he brought this from home. Yes, he did.
10:07Yeah, I see that. Your grandmother knit that one, right? No. This is the best blanket. This is the
10:13second one in the world. Talk about it. Look at this. This is, like, soft corduroy suede type of
10:18shit. Dude, this, like, my hands are already, like, warm. Just keeping it under here for 10 seconds.
10:24It's magic. And it's huge. It's, it's gargantuan. I, I was, I was hoping to find, like, an actual, like,
10:31thick comforter, but, um, gets the job done. That's, that's his blanket. Yep, that's about it.
10:37Here is also that pillow he was just bragging about. Yeah, so this used to be my, this used to be my
10:43brothers. However, however, this shit would go all over the van. Wow. This is Josh's notorious pillow.
10:49It has a hole in it, uh, for unknown reasons. And this, this just goes everywhere in the van. But,
10:55we love him. And, uh, it's his favorite pillow ever. And here, here, here take it. For no reasons
11:01whatsoever. There's a hole in it. It just ripped. I know you, you guys let your mind run all you want,
11:07but, like, that ain't, that ain't it. We can't forget the dude wipes. Always need the dude wipes.
11:13Venue toilet paper sucks. Um, this is our garbage can. It's disgusting. Uh, I don't even know how this
11:21came to be. Oh, we rent this for a band. We rent this van from another band from Orlando called
11:26Lost Trees that I used to play in. And they're the homies. Um, and they let the, they let us get
11:31this van to use it for tours for, you know, a certain, uh, certain times and everything like that.
11:36But this is actually their trash can, but we use it as well. So it's a shared trash can among two bands.
11:43And I kind of love that. Uh, these are Josh's non-alcoholic blue moons when he wants to feel,
11:50uh, a little, a little fake drunk. So, uh, I've been straight edge for six years. I celebrated six
11:55years on the 29th. And as of the last like year or so, I found an affinity with like
12:01NA beer because Shirley temples and soda get a little annoying after a while.
12:07So just branching out, finding something right. The blue moons definitely do the trick.
12:11Probably the best beer I've ever drank, even whether or not they have alcohol.
12:16Um, you can't find the mango carts. Mango carts are also really good. But, uh,
12:21yeah, man, if I, if I want to get like super fake drunk, I'm finding the liquor store within walking
12:26distance and, uh, cop in a six pack. Cause you can't just get two little tall boys for yourself
12:31just to enjoy. So, um, I'll manage to dog like three or four in a night. I'm going to be sure to
12:37keep these cold though. Whether or not there's a fridge in the green room, I'll just keep these like
12:41refrigerated outside cause it's cold enough to keep them cold. But yeah, um, shout out beer
12:48for all the beer drinkers. Shout out straight edge as well. Gotta love it, man. Gotta love it.
12:54This is the first, uh, time all tour. I've been actually like been able to find the blue moons
13:00because every other establishment has like the Corona's or like Heineken's and those kind of suck.
13:06like, Oh, this is last, last but not least. This is, uh, the bircher. I don't know how to pronounce it,
13:13but this thing is sick. If I could find the zipper. Here we go. It's like a multi-tool for a bunch of
13:21shit. You can jump your car. You can jump the van with it. Uh, you can pump up the tires with it. Uh,
13:27it also charges like cell phones or whatever like that. And it's like a power bank and it's also
13:33like a handy little flashlight and everything like that. But this thing's sick. Um, yeah,
13:38we never had to use it yet, but it's there in case we ever need it. And, uh, it definitely makes me feel
13:43better. Welcome to Joe's apartment brought to you by MTV movies. That's our bassist Chris. Hello.
13:51My name's Chris. I play bass and I do merch. So in line with doing merch, it's customer service.
13:59So I try to sleep as good as I possibly can. Uh, back here, we have a mattress topper right here has
14:07pads inside of it. I went ahead and put a mattress topper underneath and then we have pads to protect
14:13from all this. On top of that, we have my little Ozark trail, um, blow up mattress sort of thing,
14:24blow this up, put it sideways. We have a sleeping bag for warmth, two blankets, and then a copious
14:32amount of pillows. So we have one, two, three, four, and then I keep pretty much everything back here.
14:40So we have my planet fitness towel, my trusty Bucky's neck pillow, all my shoes,
14:48and then of course we have the vape and a comic. So just big chilling, only vibes.
14:57This is all below the actual spot. It's so low to the ground. It actually makes me nauseous with the,
15:02with the bouncing on it. So it's like the bench is good for me. Anybody, anybody's slept back here.
15:06Like I've gotten some good sleep back here. Like I've been like, yo, let me, let me get the back
15:09for tonight or some shit. And then sometimes I wake up and I don't know, my head hurts or
15:14my throat is sore. And he's the only one that can sleep back here. And it's like, I love it.
15:20He's like, he loves it. The biggest thing was when we, when we first started renting this van, uh,
15:25when you have the trunk, like without anything added, it's just the bare ass fucking, you know,
15:31plastic right here. It's very bumpy. So, uh, once they decided to like, hey,
15:36fuck it, you can sleep in the back because everybody had called their spots of where they
15:40wanted to go. Um, I remember we were leaving my house for like our first tour. I was like,
15:45turn us the fuck around, went back into my house, got like the, the pads and everything to make it as
15:50comfy as possible. And now it's like the best to me, the best spot in the van, but you can only sleep
15:55like, if you're long enough, your feet are going to hit like that. You can't sleep like this. So
16:01you have to sleep at an angle where it's like, your feet will be like that. And then you just lean
16:07back and you're chilling. Yeah. All right. So this is the trailer. It's already unlocked.
16:14We did that on purpose. All right. We don't leave it unlocked, but this is just extra shit.
16:19Uh, we've only got a trailer on the last two tours. Before that we used to shove everything in the van
16:26with us. It was crazy, but, uh, we love the trailer gear, merch, way more luggage. Um, it's awesome.
16:34You know, it's cheap as fuck. U-Haul is great for touring. Um, especially if you're starting out on
16:39just touring because these tires, they'll go bald on both sides. You just call U-Haul to come out,
16:44fucking replace it. Trailer's not even that expensive for like over a month. So, uh,
16:49always get a trailer. I love the trailer. It's fucking amazing. So we're heavy hitter from
16:53Orlando, Florida. Um, this is digital tour bus. Uh, we are ending this tour right now today in
17:00Chicago, but we will be on tour in Europe from June 13th all the way to July 4th.
17:06The dates will be announced soon. So keep an eye out. Uh, but yeah, we're going through Europe,
17:11UK. We'll be in Scotland. Uh, so Germany, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, all those fun places.
17:18So keep an eye out and we're coming to Europe this summer.
