00:00Thank you, Charms. Meanwhile, the Department of Social Welfare and Development, or DSWD, is stepping up efforts to uplift the quality of life of Filipinos on reducing poverty and hunger across the country.

00:12To support the most vulnerable sectors, the agency is studying a possible increase in the cash grants given to four-piece beneficiaries and will continue providing financial aid to nearly 4 million families under the Pantawit Pamilyang Pilipino Program, or four-piece.

00:30The DSWD reported that some 700,000 former four-piece beneficiaries have already been delisted after showing improved living conditions.

00:40The agency is also helping former four-piece beneficiaries transition into the workforce through the Bagong Pilipinas Servicio Fair, offering employment opportunities and livelihood assistance.

00:56Multifaceted po yung causes ng hunger and poverty, kaya nga din po, multi-pronged approach din yung ina-adapt ng aming pong ahensya.

01:04Driver kasi yung driver kasi yung hunger sa poverty. Kapag po hindi malulusog ang mga bata, nawawalan po sila ng oportunidad para magkaroon ng magandang kinabukasan.

01:14Nakaka-apekto ito sa kanilang pag-aaral at sa kanilang productivity.

01:18Kung kaya nga po, sabi ko namumuhunan talaga tayo sa edukasyon at kalusugan.

01:23So optimistic po tayo na mag-i-improve pa po yung condition in terms of improving or reducing poverty incidence in our country and reducing hunger incidence as well.

01:40Nakikita nga natin doon sa isinasagawa natin na trabaho para sa four-piece sa Bagong Pilipinas.

01:46Kaya nang nabanggit ko earlier, marami po tayong mga na-iregister na merong mga bagong trabaho.

01:54So I think that matches na rin yung lumalabas na percentage na bumababa yung bill ng mga unemployed.

02:02Kinaka-positive din natin eh yung mga beneficiaries to either engage in thriving livelihood activities or makapaghanap ng trabaho.

02:10Yan ang nagpapatunay na maganda po yung mga inisyatibo ng ating pong pamahalan.
