00:00Lauren Michaels obviously legendarily you know created and show has showrun for 50 years SNL in
00:10the States it's obviously one of the most popular shows no cool and you know it's it's the brand
00:17and he's taking it to the UK and I wonder what do you how do you think that should fair I think
00:25I think it'd be awesome I think the British have a great sense of humor I'm not sure if it translates
00:32like I think it'd be hugely successful in the UK because we're very self-deprecating and our humor
00:37is very aggressive which is what SNL is yeah it's hilarious I'm not sure it would translate over to
00:44America if you showed it in America because we do have strong opinions especially about America right
00:51now what's going on oh so you think you think they would be bombing on the US it would be
00:56aggressive and abuse as long as you can take it as humor because all comedies humor right now we got
01:01a little bit too sensitive in the world so as long as America can take a joke yeah because right now
01:08you are the butt of a lot of jokes not America but certain people leading America oh I see the rest of
01:16the world find this the best reality TV show we've ever seen I think I think because of the current
01:21political climate I think a no holds barred UK version of SNL would hit better than the American
01:30version that the Americans for me American comedians are just they're elite you know I grew up on them
01:36and they're incredible they've turned in that show has turned so many movie stars you know there are so
01:41many incredible actors now who started off on SNL and great entertainers and I and I love them all
01:47but they are kind of like restricted a little bit although they're being pretty brutal recently which
01:54I love it's just the UK are even more aggressive could you think of any anybody that's like man they
02:00did the cast member casting wise like yo this dude oh we got this girl but you could have anyone
02:06they don't have to be just British right right you can you can have all kinds of people you know
02:11like Jimmy Carr is is quite brutal he's done a little bit in the in the in you and uh in America as
02:17well and then um oh my god I've gone I've blanked I've gotten them all but there are so many British
02:24comedians that I love that would absolutely nail that and they would love the opportunity to kind
02:29of like you think they'd be chomping at the bit to be like yo yo this is gonna be a hit it would
02:32be huge you know let's get it for sure
