We put the pours to the test to see how many glasses of wine you can get out of a single bottle! Though it may differ from glass-to-glass, we estimate that one bottle of wine can hold around five glasses. Find out the exact science of our results by watching this video.

00:00Ever since I did some math on a whiteboard a couple weeks back, there's been a big debate
00:03about how many glasses of wine are in a single bottle. Today we're going to find out. A standard
00:08size bottle of wine is 758 milliliters. That translates to about 25 ounces. According to
00:14my calculations, a bottle of wine has five glasses in it. That's 150 milliliters per glass, or a
00:20little bit more than five ounces. But some people think a bottle of wine has four glasses, others
00:24think six, and a few think three. Those are heavy pours. Let's see what they all look like. Three
00:29glasses per bottle yields a really big pour. Maybe this is the one that you pour yourself
00:33at a dinner party, but you won't be finding glasses this big at most restaurants. Four
00:36glasses per bottle still yields a hefty pour, but it looks good. But my absolute favorite
00:41is five. Plenty of wine, but you won't be tired of what's in your glass. But just remember that
00:45five ounces will look different from glass to glass. But at the end of the day, the amount
00:49of wine in your glass is your choice. I'll be here for a little while.
