Sen. Raffy Tulfo hit over criticisms on Cebu buses   The Cebu Provincial Capitol slams Sen. Raffy Tulfo’s criticisms of the Cebu North Bus Terminal (CNBT), calling his April 4 inspection misinformed and publicity-driven. Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia said Tulfo lacked context when he questioned restroom fees, terminal conditions, and charges on V-hire drivers. She stressed that public trust shouldn’t be sacrificed for viral content. The Capitol defended its partnership with Mister Loo Philippines, citing its legality under RA 11311. CEO Andreas Wanner, who flew in from Thailand, called Tulfo’s approach 'astonishing.' 00:00The reason why I am flanked by both Attorney John Sepulveda and Mr. Andy Hill, the owner of Mr. Lu, is because the presence and the actuations of that senator hampering our north bus terminal operations involve two things.

00:30The legal side of it and the perhaps enlightenment side of it because I choose to be more kind. I would not wish to say that we would have to cure the ignorance side of it.

00:53We come here to show that it is not liberate, it follows all the proper proceedings and we will show you that it is not prohibited by law, it is encouraged by law to come up with a kind of service to the public.

01:12And if the issue is a free sanitary facilities, as I've said, this is a collaboration with SMCT. SMCT has more than enough free sanitary facilities.

01:29Unfortunately, it is a challenge to the provincial government because where it is situated right now is in Cebu City.

01:39And you all know, we have no political jurisdiction over Cebu City. And much as we would like to barge away in Cebu City and impose our will,

01:49we have no way to the public. We don't want to be a part of the public. We don't want to be a part of the public.

01:56We collaborate. There is a regular collaboration between the stakeholders of the city government during this time.

02:03And you all know that there was a time that the collaboration was very impossible because of that twice dismissed mayor.

02:12So these are the issues that we are addressing in order to obviate any false assumption or erroneous conclusions.
