00:43and they have raised concerns about vehicles being forced into surrounding streets.
00:48A recent council report highlighted fears over a lack of parking spaces following a public consultation.
00:55One objector said that the removal of parking will make it more difficult for residents to park,
01:01as there would be fewer parking spaces available,
01:04some of which are used by staff at Chapel Allerton Hospital.
01:07In response, the council said that there was sufficient parking space nearby.
01:12Concerns were also raised over the impact on businesses from restrictions on Potter Newton Lane.
01:18An objector wrote that parking is already limited,
01:22and the shops in the area are losing customers due to the time-limited parking bays.
01:27The council said the restrictions would prevent parking on both sides of the busy road,
01:32and said the objections will be overruled by the Chief Highways Officer
01:36in order for a traffic regulation order to be imposed.
