00:00The incidents that happened today in Calcutta and some of the districts are not desirable.
00:06On 7th of April, Honourable Chief Minister met the students in Netaji Indore Stadium and gave
00:14them the confidence that the state government will do whatever to give whatever help is required
00:22to be given to them and to protect their interest on the humanitarian as well as the legal aspects.
00:32And accordingly, we are moving forward.
00:34We have already filed a clarificatory petition in the Honourable Supreme Court requesting
00:40that the existing system may continue in the interest of education system and the education
00:45of children of the schools and of course for the interest of the teachers.
00:50And we will be also filing a review petition for which the process is already on and our
00:56legal team is working.
00:58We also appreciate that the difficulties that the teachers are in and they are facing because
01:04of the orders of course.
01:09But then there is a legal solution.
01:11We have to move the Honourable Supreme Court and seek relief as is applicable or is admissible
01:16in the judicial process and we are doing that.
01:19We have to avoid by the Honourable Supreme Court's order but at the same time seek relief whatever
01:24is admissible within the law.
01:26Meanwhile, these incidents which have happened today in Calcutta and some of the districts,
01:31as we said, are undesirable and should not have happened because we are all working together
01:36to find a solution.
01:38There is no dispute so far as our common objective is concerned.
01:41So that's why what happened in Kasbah today, as somebody was mentioning whether that Nathi
01:46charge and all those things are justified, certainly these are not desirable and nobody
01:51would like to resort to such situation.
01:54And we don't expect this type of situation to ever come in.
01:58So that's why through this, through you we are trying to appeal to the teachers that they
02:04should maintain peace and tranquility, they should not take law in their own hands.
02:10We are working for them, we are with them and we will do whatever best is possible within
02:16our judicial process to get the relief as is admissible.
02:20So that is what we wanted to say and CP has also explained that what probably is shown is
02:28not the real picture, so they are investigating into it.
02:32But I am not going into that.
02:34I fully believe that this type of situation is totally undesirable, it should never happen.
02:41We respect teachers, we would like to convey to them that they should also maintain restraint,
02:47they should not be led by any rumour-mongering.
02:50If they have anything to say, they can come through their representatives.
02:53As CP said, that even in police stations, if they want to say something, certainly they
02:59are welcome.
03:00And as teachers, they can always have some suggestions, some points to make.
03:03We don't have any objection to that.
03:05But law should not be taken in own hand.
03:08Law has to be fully complied and abided by.
03:11That is what is expected.
03:12And we want peace, we want law and order to be maintained.
03:16That is what is the appeal to you.
