President Donald Trump on Tuesday (April 9) said the U.S. will soon announce a "major" tariff on pharmaceutical imports. 00:15Now, it sounds ridiculous, but they charged us for many items,

00:24Today, it was announced that China is reducing its currency.

00:32In other words, they're going to make up for it.

00:34They got every trick in the book.

00:40They're manipulating their currency today as an offset against the tariffs.

00:44They're not supposed to do that.

00:46The game isn't supposed to be played that way.

00:48It makes it very hard for us.

00:50But in the end, it's not good because they have to buy oil.

00:53See, we don't need oil.

00:55We don't need oil and gas.

00:56We have more than any other country.

00:57They have to buy it.

00:58That's where it hurts them when they do that.

01:00It costs them twice as much.

01:02We have to do it.

01:03We're going to tariff our pharmaceuticals.

01:05And once we do that, they're going to come rushing back into our country

01:09because we're the big market.

01:10The advantage we have over everybody is that we're the big market.

01:14So we're going to be announcing very shortly a major tariff on pharmaceuticals

01:19until they make a deal with us.

01:21That's what it's going to be.

01:22I think they'll make a deal at some point.

01:25They want to make a deal.

01:28They just don't know how to get it started because they're proud people.
