01:38Vamos a tomar algunas preguntas.
01:42La Unión Europea sigue abierta a, y preferiría fuertemente, las negociaciones.
01:47No esperaremos para siempre.
01:51Estoy seguro de que Michal Wil will do it in perfect, beautiful Polish.
02:03All the deadlines here are clearly determined by the legal process,
02:08so we will be distributing the final list this evening.
02:12We expect the vote on Wednesday, and once this is done,
02:17so the collection of the duties starts as of 15th of April for the first part,
02:22and in full respect of WTO methodology, second part will kick in 30 days later,
02:30so we are talking about 15th of May.
02:32Thank you very much for this question.
03:03But at the same time, until now, despite of efforts and opening,
03:08we haven't seen the real engagement which would lead to the mutually acceptable solution,
03:13because it has to be fair for both sides.
03:19If it comes to the non-tariff barriers, I can tell you that we spent quite some time and energy
03:25to explain how the VAT works, that we are not only one,
03:29there are more than 160 countries which are using VAT.
03:32VAT is an important source of income for our member states.
03:38This is how we fund our state budget, and we are not going to change our VAT system.
03:47Thank you.
03:48Johanna, you still have a question?
03:51If it comes to China, I think that my visit there was clearly guided by the fact
04:01that we need to re-engage with China.
04:07It's our third most important trading partner.
04:12If it comes to the volumes of goods traded,
04:17we've been accumulating a lot of issues on the table.
04:21So I think it's time to start removing part of the problems from the table.
04:33Thank you very much for the question.
04:34Indeed, this is kind of a black day for the markets, I would say, all over the world,
04:41because we have seen the plunge in US stock markets,
04:45but the same in Asia and also in Europe.
04:51So this is just, I would say, the market's reaction to what I think many of my colleagues
04:59in the room described as the most important paradigm shift
05:04in global trading partners since the Second World War.
05:11Thank you.
