00:00The dancing in Bridgerton is one of the most iconic things about the series.
00:05When you see the dances between the main couple, it's like, it's magic.
00:09The dancing for the show feels particularly important with Colin and Penelope because of the journey that they've had.
00:15Their love has been on and off and it's been unrequited, so lots and lots of layers.
00:22And perhaps we could dance.
00:24Very well.
00:25This number is the scale of three years.
00:28It was the first dance throughout this whole process that I felt I didn't have to learn, it just sort of happened.
00:33It's big in terms of expressing romanticism for two people that we have known for a long time.
00:39This one was just so beautiful and intimate and it's two people who love each other but there's just such a mess in between them.
00:46They're in a real difficult spot right now.
00:47Yeah, they are.
00:48Like, they're going through so many different emotions within just one dance, which we've not really had before.
00:53Their head and their heart are sort of at war at the minute.
00:56They obviously love each other but are not expressing that.
00:58So when they come in together for this dance, it's a nice moment.
01:01From all the conflict.
01:07And then it gets very rudely interrupted by the Queen.
01:10It would have been fine had Goldenap marched in in her amazing wig and dress, but it was beautiful and filming it was really emotional.
01:17It was such an amazing moment just to do this dance that we'd been preparing now for months
01:22and kind of put a button on our whole story and be like, everything's going to be okay.
01:27Because forgive me, but that was bloody brilliant.
01:31I'm loving their work through the season.
01:33It's a cocktail of emotions for me to watch it on their behalf.
01:37I am full of admiration for them because to play romantic leads is very difficult
01:41because it asks you to expose your own experiences of love and that can make you feel very, very vulnerable.
01:47We have really deep trust in one another and that's made it the best experience.
01:50It's been amazing.
01:52It's been so cool because we've known each other now for so many years.
01:55So we can just support each other in the moments that maybe feel really exposing.
02:00We can just kind of laugh at it and just play around a little bit.
02:03Watching it, I had another one of those moments.
02:05I was like, oh my God, we really are the romantic leads this season.
02:08Okay.
02:09We're rolling!
