00:00Ibrox Stadium, where the Hibs have won 2-0 against the Rangers to extend their unbeaten
00:08run in the premiership to 16 matches. Very impressive performance from David Gray's team,
00:15defensively very, very solid, very mature display across the whole pitch from top to bottom. Took
00:23their goals well, Dylan Levitt opened the scoring on 8 minutes with a strike from distance that Jack
00:28Buckland really should have saved in the Rangers goal. And then Martin Boyle had a second of about
00:3425 minutes to go in the game and once that went in he knew the Hibs were going to at least take
00:39a point if not all three. A wretched afternoon by comparison for interim Rangers manager Barry
00:46Ferguson, who in his post-match interview said that's not a Rangers team in relation to what
00:53his players served up, bar maybe a 20-minute spell in the first half when they had created
00:58a couple of chances they were limping and sick at it. It was the worst type of preparation
01:04Rangers had of their Europa League tie against Athletic Bilbao on Thursday night and Ferguson
01:09promised sweeping changes in his team for that match. One wonders whether Buckland
01:14was placing goal after yet another mistake. Liam Kelly, the deputy, did well in January when he
01:20played during an injury to the in-going goalkeeper and one wonders whether he'll get the nod against
01:25the Spaniards. By the end of the match Ibrox was pretty much empty. Rangers players trudged
01:30round the stands at full time. They had a brief moment with the Union Bears where they both
01:35solemnly stared at each other while on the other corner, the one that you can see just over my
01:38shoulder, the Hibs players celebrated jubilantly with their travelling support. This is their
01:44first win at Ibrox since 2018 and there's real belief growing that this Hibs team can do
01:50something pretty special this season and finish third. Bear in mind they were bottom of the table
01:55at the end of November. They've got an extraordinary run of form. Their last defeat in the league came
02:01in this city in Celtic on December the 8th and the win was important because Aberdeen beneath them
02:07won 1-0 at Ross County which means that Hibs stay in third, a point clear of the Dons and we feel
02:12that it's between those two and potentially Dundee United to finish best from the rest of
02:16what should be an absorbing race for that particular crown. I must say if Hibs continue playing the way
02:22they are right now it's hard to see past them. Their run will come into effect at some point of
02:27course but right now you can see confidence in those players who are most likely to beat
02:32Graves' team. They do have favouritism in that regard. I think special mention must go to Rocky
02:40Bushiri, the Hibs centre-half who played magnificently and snuffed out Serial Deaths
02:45as there was a real rock in that back line and he's out of contract in the summer. One
02:51wonder whether Hibs will try their hardest to keep him. Glorious sunshine, evening sunshine here
02:57over Govan but you feel there are storm clouds still brewing for Rangers. Dobel on Thursday will
03:02be an altogether different test and they could end up being out of sight in the tie but of course
03:07this Rangers team have been so inconsistent you never quite know what you're going to get.
03:12Ferguson will demand a big reaction for that one. For Hibs they take on Dundee week on Sunday as
03:19they look to continue their march towards third place. They finish here and I'm Roxy again. Rangers
03:24Will. Hibs Team.
