00:00♪♪
00:05Be comfortable in your own skin, always, right?
00:08Don't try to prove anything to anybody.
00:10Just, uh, wear what makes you comfortable,
00:13and if it puts a smile on your face,
00:15light behind your eyes, that's all you need.
00:19Most excited for people to see this movie
00:21because I had a chance to work with Rami Malek,
00:24and he's amazing.
00:26Charlie, I think you need to see this.
00:28♪♪
00:31What is this?
00:32♪♪
00:34Your wife has been killed.
00:36Let us handle this.
00:39I want mission-specific training, cash,
00:42and a new identity.
00:43Have you lost your mind?
00:45The film, The Amateur,
00:47is a classic espionage thriller with a twist.
00:50The twist is there in the title.
00:51This guy loses his wife in tragic circumstances,
00:54and he ends up getting himself, by various means,
00:57some training,
00:58and in the conventional version of this movie,
01:00he'd then turn into a ninja.
01:02He'd become Jason Bourne.
01:03He'd become James Bond.
01:04That doesn't happen,
01:05so how is he gonna achieve his mission?
01:07This is the wild ride that follows
01:09across several countries
01:11as he tries to get his revenge.
01:15Rami's such a brave actor.
01:17He comes on, I mean that metaphorically and literally.
01:19He comes on so willing to test the boundaries
01:22of the performance and really wrestle with the scene,
01:25but also physically,
01:26he threw himself into every situation.
01:28You'll see him in fight scenes.
01:29You'll see him in chase scenes.
01:30He's doing most of it himself.
01:32And then, obviously, having Rami means
01:34you have a gravitational pull
01:35that starts to attract all sorts of other cast.
01:38And, you know, one or two of them
01:39are lined up and down here.
01:40Rachel Brosnahan, Lawrence Fishburne, Katrina Balfour.
01:45I'm excited.
01:46This is a special film,
01:47and I'm glad to be a part of it.
01:48If you like those classic movies from, like, the 70s,
01:50like Three Days of the Condor
01:52or those great Gene Hackman movies,
01:54then this is absolutely for you.
01:56But it has a very modern spin on it.
01:58I was kind of like one of the nerds at the CIA,
02:01and there was a bunch of us.
02:02And Rami's, like, the head nerd and everything.
02:04And we threw a lot of scenes where we kind of, like,
02:06sat around and just talked.
02:08And it felt, like, very bonding, you know?
02:10Like, it was, like, these were people who were cool,
02:13really talented actors.
02:14Everybody totally nailed it.
02:16It was good.
02:17It was kind of like doing theater.
02:19Well, it's just really good.
02:20One of those movies you just want to see in awe.
02:22If you jump really fast, you might survive the blast.
02:25Freak!
