AccuWeather's Damien Lodes was forecasting live on the afternoon of April 4 as rapidly rotating storms led to multiple tornado warnings in northeast Texas and southern Oklahoma.

00:00Here's a live video or a video from earlier taken from Clarksville in Texas
00:04and this is the kind of weather we're going to be tracking because pretty much
00:07any storm that forms from east Texas, southeast Oklahoma, pretty much the
00:12entire state of Arkansas, northern Louisiana, any storm that forms in these
00:16highlighted regions they're all going to be spinning like a top. So every single
00:20one of these storms will be capable of producing tornadoes and large hail here
00:24as we head into this evening. So overall here as you look at the the broad view
00:28of the actual lightning it does look like that some of these central storms
00:32the lightning intensity has come down subsided just a little bit but overall
00:37the rotation signature is still there and high enough to confirm some of these
00:41tornadoes. So as we take a freeze frame on the latest one we still have one
00:45tornado warning here in effect for McCurtain County that goes until five
00:48o'clock. Now the overall rotation on that northern storm that has shown signs of
00:52coming down so we'll see if they expire that tornado warning earlier but then as
00:55you look at southeastern Oklahoma we have another tornado warning in effect
00:59until five o'clock here 530 I should say local time which is going to be in
01:03another hour and you can just see how long that tornado warning is that's
01:07because these storms are going to be moving to the northeast moving
01:10relatively fast we're talking storm forward momentum going 50, 60 miles an
01:15hour so what that means these storms are going to be moving very fast but what
01:19that means to you is that if you are in the path of these storms you are not
01:23going to have as much time as you would think to prepare and take shelter as
01:27these storms move in so you definitely need to watch out for that so Idabel
01:30southeastern Oklahoma definitely watching out for some strong to severe
01:34thunderstorms including that tornadic storm and also we have a confirmed
01:37tornado warning here in effect for Bowie Texas there until 445 local time that's
01:42about another 10 minutes but it looks like that they replaced this confirmed
01:46tornado warning with a classic tornado warning that we're going to be watching
01:49out for so looks like the visual confirmation on that particular storm
01:53has lapsed so we'll continue to watch that but we also have this tornado one
01:56storm here for Wood County there in Texas and all these storms once again
02:00they are all spinning very fast and very efficiently so every single one of these
02:05storms will be capable of producing tornadoes
