01:22the owners comment and maybe just guys are looking at Joe Milton going guys

01:34whole bunch the guy has no leverage Thomas shut it no but you drafted him in
01:37the same year as Drake may now I know it's a different guy drafting and that's
01:42one thing that is very clear I think it was clear prior to this move that Elliot
01:46Wolfe has no say over the roster or very little very little say because he just
01:50took him might be one of the two draft picks that he actually hit and then
01:54trades him away just to move up for nothing for nothing because it's
01:58everybody's like what fifth round pick fifth round pick they also gave up a
02:01seventh round pick right the pick swap so it's really like a sixth almost it's
02:05almost like trading him for what you used to take him last year so you need a
02:10back quarterback especially with a quarterback in Drake may who got hurt
02:13twice in two starts or I'm sorry 12 starts he got hurt twice so we got to
02:18see Josh Dobbs like he's a professional veteran backup but for the long term why
02:23not just keep Joe Milton for what you got unless it's got to do with these
02:27other things about putting pressure on Drake May which I never even thought
02:31was the case Joe Milton looked good against a bunch of scrubs that were
02:35throwing the game so I wasn't one of these like he's great he's the next
02:39level but you do need a backup and maybe he develops into something he has a much
02:44higher ceiling than Josh Dobbs so I think this all along has been our take
02:48and maybe it's been bastardized and that's fine I bastardized plenty other
02:51people's takes all good we've turned into like you can't trade Joe Milton

16:32digs his deal the Patriots have secured broad protection against a setback
16:35during digs is ongoing rehab of his torn ACL from the 2024 season like this the
16:41contract contains a waiver regarding his right knee his guarantees expressly do
16:46not apply to any football related injury sustained by a player while performing
16:50services under the contract that in the sole opinion of the club's physician
16:53which shall be final and binding is in any way related to deterioration
16:57aggravation or re-injury to the pre-existing injury to the right knee
17:01basically anything with the right knee that the Patriots don't like rip up the
17:05contract they don't know I'm gonna die also Florio writes the Patriots have the
17:09sole ability to terminate the contract due to the pre-existing injury unless
17:13digs passes a physical he hasn't passed the physical whatever there was the talk
17:18they were gonna sign Godwin without a physical like they're like no physicals
17:21over here did they fire their doctors this idea that digs is gonna be ready
17:25week one is such nonsense I was so hopeful for this he hasn't passed a
17:29physical now okay they had a schedule well more from Florio physical schedule
17:34for October this means until digs passes a physical the Patriots aren't on the
17:38hook for any guaranteed money zero dollars yeah it likewise means that if
17:42he retears his ACL or has any other aggravation or re-injury in the right
17:46knee they owe him nothing then this might be the scariest part okay while
17:50certain contractual protections exist for pre-existing injuries they aren't
17:53unprecedented a source with knowledge of broader NFL habits and trends said the
17:58digs clause is however uncommon great and then the comp for this it's similar
18:03to language that was used in Jimmy Garoppolo's 2023 contract with the

19:36to what end I mean he's already been in the league 11 years and so if you're 12
19:40he's basically rehabbing for half of it like what's your 13 gonna look like
