00:00To ensure a smooth traffic flow and the safety of travelers during the holy week,
00:04the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, or the MMDA, is set to deploy more than 2,000
00:09personnel and nearly 500 vehicles to major bus terminals, seaports, and airports as part of
00:16Oplan Metro Alala y Semana Santa. The MMDA will enforce a no-day-off, no-absent policy for its
00:22personnel on April 16, 17, and 21 to maximize manpower on the ground. Tow trucks will also
00:30be on standby along major roads to assist motorists with vehicle breakdowns, while ambulances will be
00:36stationed at key provincial bus terminals to provide immediate medical assistance to passengers
00:41in need. Meanwhile, provincial buses will be allowed to pass through EDSA from April 9
00:47between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. from April 16 to 20.
