00:00Vol Nation got a pretty big announcement on Thursday, and I think every Tennessee football
00:04fan should be very happy and very excited about the upcoming season after hearing it.
00:11Hey, Lucas Panzeca here from 104.5 The Zone and A to Z Sports. So Thursday afternoon,
00:16Tennessee football officially unveiled the Vol Network radio broadcast team for the upcoming
00:22football season. As we already knew, longtime Voice of the Titans and Tennessee alum Mike Keith
00:28takes over as the next Voice of the Vols, an absolute home run hire to replace Bob Kessling.
00:33But his partner, his analyst for the football games is now official. It is none other than
00:38Ramon Foster, the former Tennessee offensive lineman, a player who was a pivotal piece
00:43in those last four years of the Philip Fulmer era on Rocky Top. Ramon played a multitude of
00:49positions along the offensive line during his time playing at Tennessee from 2005 through 2008. He
00:55was a team captain, an All-SEC caliber player, and a member of the last Tennessee football team
01:01to ever win the SEC East and play in the SEC Championship. Of course, then Ramon went undrafted
01:07in the 2009 NFL Draft but found a landing spot as a UDFA with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he
01:13enjoyed a 10-plus year career, very successful, all with the Pittsburgh Steelers as one of the
01:19most consistent guards in the National Football League. Now, I get the pleasure of working with
01:24Ramon Foster at 104.5 The Zone and getting to call him a colleague and a friend, and let me tell
01:30you, there is nobody more qualified and there is no better human to get this position than Ramon
01:36Foster. He loves the university and the state of Tennessee. You're talking about a guy who was born
01:41and raised in West Tennessee, played his college ball in East Tennessee, and then after his 10-plus
01:46year career in the NFL came to an end post-retirement, came back to live in Middle Tennessee,
01:51where of course he co-hosts Ramon, Kayla, and Will, our morning show over on 104.5 The Zone,
01:56the flagship of the Tennessee Vols in the Middle Tennessee area. And the best part about this is
02:02Ramon and Mike will have an instantaneous chemistry, having worked together for the last
02:06couple of years on the Titans radio team, with Ramon doing sidelines and doing it seamlessly
02:12for the last couple of seasons. I cannot wait to hear the energy and the passion for Tennessee
02:17football in the booth that Mike and Ramon are going to bring. Now, that's not the entire
02:22broadcast team, as there will be two returning members from the last few years. Jason Swain,
02:27former Tennessee wide receiver that played in about the same era as Ramon, will come back as
02:32an analyst for this broadcast team, as will Brent Hubbs, with the roles being switched up a little
02:37bit. Jason Swain will be an analyst, will be a heavy part of the pre- and post-game coverage,
02:42and Brent Hubbs will go down to the sideline, offering his perspective from the field. All four
02:48of these guys love Tennessee football and are extremely good at what they do. I truly believe
02:53the Vol Network will have one of the best radio broadcast teams in all of college football in
02:592025. And the good thing is, you don't have to wait until that season opener against Syracuse
03:04to hear them for the first time. The Orange and White game on April 12th will not be televised,
03:09but it will be broadcasted on the Vol Network, of course, with Mike Keith and Ramon Foster
03:15on the call. So, tune in April 12th to Tennessee's spring game
03:18and get a glimpse of the years to come on the Vol Network.
